Easy to get statistics, embed videos, and publish
No ability to create landing pages to host the video independently
ability to segment and retarget based on the amount of time someone has watched a video is great!
Very easy to navigate and customize video options. Easy to upload, customize, share and embed videos.
Sorting features on videos wasn’t the best. Time consuming to look through videos to find the one you’re looking for.
Video hosting. Easy to share and embed videos that are hosted on Wistia. Easy to customize video options, even for someone who is not very technologically savvy.
Features are quick and easy to learn and use. Very handy popover embeds, social sharing, and customization options and drilled down analytics. New player Vulcan seems to be a positive upgrade as well.
Doesn't have it's own community of searchable videos like Vimeo or Youtube would have. So all your views have to come through a shareable method that you, the marketer initiates.
It's an easy way to store and share product videos for us, as well as organize and share webinar recordings of continuing education courses we offer. Easy integration with HubSpot and deep analytics are two benefits we see so far.
Wistia is easy to use for those without extensive video marketing experience. It's easy to embed videos on your site, customize the look and feel of the player, and add CTAs.
Have had some small issues with video formatting for webinar recordings and web platform runs slowly at times.
Wistia allows us to post videos on our site and track engagement and event specific viewers through the HubSpot integration.
Wistia is great for hosting video on our website to offload bandwidth from our server. The integration with HubSpot is great, as many others don't do this. Their videos stream fast, have a HTML 5 player which fails over to flash if the player isn't compatible, and the player is unbranded.
Although we pay for the unbranded player, if the user right clicks on the video, they are still prompted with a menu that mentions Wistia and has a link to their website.
Wistia allows us to stream video fast, without having to encode multiple versions of the same video. The ability to auto-detect the browser type, as well as bandwidth makes it very simple for us to upload a single video and have it automatically converted.
I love the animated thumbnails, and how easy and seamless it is to apply company's branding to the player.
Very low amount of videos that can be uploaded per plan. High cost of adding additional media if you exceed the quota.
Embedding videos on various landing pages
No advertisements on the platform when compared to platforms like YouTube
Reporting and analytics can be better. One is unable to see enagagement statistics for each region / channel.
Customer education and engagement using video content
Wistia makes it dead simple to host video content and add templated experiences for use on our web embeds, social media posts, etc.
Some of the integrations aren't easy to get value from, and require a heavy operational lift in order to stand up and create value.
Wistia solves our video hosting and embedding needs for our various web properties. It also gives us control of delivering CTAs and add-ons to our video content.
It is easy to use and to navigate around. Menu selections are all very clear as well, making it easy for a beginner to learn and pick up the functions easily.
Ability to park 1 same video into different folders.
Storing and uploading videos easily for marketing usage
Searchable closed captions within multiple videos are fairly good, and the platform handles a fairly large number of videos with reasonable ease. Security is good and superior to Vimeo, which we had used previously.
Across the board, Wistia alone can be clunky and the indexing options for uploaded material - both videos and their captions - could be more robust. Would like to see more backend content management structure.
management of a library of several hundred technical videos allows us to deliver those materials with reasonable security to clients across the world.
Wistia is easy to use and customize to match your overall branding. We really appreciate having a non-YouTube option to host videos on our site with an intuitive player for our visitors.
Wistia isn't cheap - we pay more than $100 per month when there are obviously cheaper (free) options out there like YouTube. That said, if you have videos that your users are engaged with it, it's well worth the expense for most businesses.
Wistia gives us a non YouTube (Google) option to improve the user experience on our website. It helps us connect with potential customers and we believe, make us more credible.
Video is an integral part of outbound prospecting. The easy-to-use recorder and editor make this functional for a large team without too much in-depth training.
Wistia has led to a lot of strife for our sales reps. Because Wistia operates as a browser extension, its functionality is reliant on internet speeds and connectivity. In an office environment, this was an issue, but since work from home began, it's become a nuisance. Everyone has different internet access, and there are more variables in the mix. Videos recorded and edited never upload or are lost entirely. If Wistia created a native app, like Loom offers, this would not be an issue. And our reps wouldn't lose time and effort to internet-related problems. Our reps have turned to other tools like Loom.
Wistia allows our team to create custom and generic videos for outbound efforts.
The ability to upload a video quickly and easy, with set chapters for each section of our video, thumbnail either for the video set by either image or a set point in the video, and the ability to easily add captions and ensure accessibility for users has been achieved.
The time it take to replace video or upload multiple videos for me is extremely long and could be made more user friendly. Also the inability to have hidden tags on videos such as version control etc.
for us the ease of upload and sharing is really important as is the customer engagement piece letting us see which content is being used the most and which may need removing or updating.
I like that it's a super simple, clean, straightforward platform.
The free account only lets you add 3 videos.
Having video resources in one place is very helpful. We're able to link the videos in help articles, blogs, etc.
Video hosting can be tricky depending on how you use your videos and how you host your website. Wistia makes it simple and offers some nice features like CTAs.
I'm not 100% sure Wistia is needed as a standalone product for a B2B start-up. A lot of the features show well in demos and on paper but have less practical value if you aren't creating a million videos
We use Wistia to host our videos.
Wistia is a tool easy to use that allow me uploading videos, creating files, track video webinars and so on. I highly recommend this tool because it's just simple and useful.
Nothing to say, Wistia offer all I need at the moment!
I record webinars, brand videos, and so on. I can track the views, the % watched, and so on.
I love that we can see WHO watches our videos. Super useful for lead generation.
The free trial tier is basically useless.
Mostly how to make our content useful. We'd make video content and wouldn't be able to really leverage it propery, but now we can!
Videos turned out great and you are able to edit them to fit your needs.
Sometimes there were technical log-in issues using Wistia.
Wistia allows us to provide our faculty with the tools needed to film online learning.
Great video player functionality including play speed and quality.
Analytics are pretty rigid and you need to export data to excel to get anything meaningful done. No YouTube integration
Play videos on corporate site
Intuitive, light, and functional video platform
Pricing is somewhat ridiculous. I personally wouldn't pay this much.
We use Wistia to post all of our videos, which are quite a few (maybe 20-30+ per year). We embed these from Wistia onto our website.
