1Password brings together top-notch security with great design. It works as a desktop with browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Brave. It also offers an intuitive password sharing capability, which makes it perfect for families, with intuitive sharing options. For free users, 1Password also offers vaults that can be used for both personal and sharing purposes. I have been using 1Password for some time and the greatest thing about it is that it makes password management easy. It’s cheap and saves you loads of time.” My passwords are all in a secure locker that syncs with my devices and is a lifesaver when I’m switching between my personal and work to-do lists. In fact I find it comforting that I can share passwords with my team so that everyone is up to speed. I shall highly recommend it to my colleagues.
But the UI is sometimes a touch fiddly, and juggling several vaults could be clearer. The search feature is powerful but not always automagically.
A solution to the password chaos and security concern is 1Password. This is really advantageous because it not only saves one time, but also increases security. This allows for synchronized passwords across devices and easy sharing between colleagues, which help to organize my workflow and protect my identity when it comes to sensitive information.
I like that It allows me to store and manage not only passwords (although it does that very well) but also other sensitive data such as API keys, DB credentials, as well as secure notes and recovery phrases. All of which Im able to access using a single master password, biometric authentication or a physical usb storage key. Its a super convenient way to store private information. Anouther feature I enjoy using is the CLI plugins. These allow you to work with things like SSH keys, git credentials and ENV variables stored in the app, directly in the terminal.
The only downside I can think of is sometimes the app doesn't recognize certain website login fields automatically, so I have to manually add them. It's a minor inconvenience, but nothing too bothersome.
I no longer struggle to remember countless complex passwords, and I've let go of the nagging fear of a security breach. It's not just about passwords, though. It's a great tool for managing all sensitive data in a digital project.
1password is very secure and ensuring every account are have strong password supports all the OS. reducing the risk of easily guessable passwords
internet depend if we forget master password we can'yt able to recover data
not available in offline mode
I have bee using 12Password for Business for over 6 years. I love: 1. easy of use 2. secure syncing in real time betwene devices 3. browser add-ons that protects me against phishing websites by filling login details only to a correct site (it won't be fooled by unicode characters) 4. sharing of items in my password vault with other people on my terms 5. 1Password Business gives me free Family licence completely secure from my Business 6. Integration to terminal apps to store anduse ssh keys (no more private keys on file system!) 7. excellent and knowlegeable customer support 8. Support for Passkeys which means Passkeys work cross ecosystems (no lock into to Google, Apple or Microsoft!)
There is really not much not to like about 1Password. If I had to be picky I have to mention: 1. Unlike on Macos and Windows, on iPad and iPhone I cannot select the default vaul to save items into. (have not tried this on Android). 2. Sometimes the automated filling of details does not work on some website.
Security of my secrets (mainly passwords) - this means I can have very complex passwords which are unique for each website. This would be impossible without a password manager like 1Password
Authentication, administration, CIA, user friendly
None so far, first time using it. But good
Authentication and administration
I run a digital marketing agency, and we have to keep track of a zillion passwords - not just ours, but those of our clients too. On top of that, we work with freelancers, so it is important to keep our clients' credentials safe. 1Password is the only way we can do that - spreadsheets don't offer the same flexibility and security. Best of all, I can have it on my phone and it's super easy to use (their autofill feature is kickass).
I'm so reliant on it now that I'm starting to forget all my passwords!
1. Keeping track of all clients' credentials - each client shares with us credentials for over 5 platform that we manage for them. 2. Keeping track of all internal team tools - as a digital marketing agency, we have 25+ SaaS subscriptions that require shared logins. 3. Keeping the information guarded from freelancers that we work with - giving them limited access.
I like how everything is integrated on the phone, on the computer, in a browser, everywhere. It makes things so much easier. I have for years told my family to use 1Password. My kids since they were teenagers have heard me say, when they do something, "Did you use 1Password", because they had a tendency to not keep track and lose their information or worse, lock themselves out of apple products. Finally they are believers and now use it religiously, to where they tell me before I ask...."I used 1Password!". Makes me so proud, and as a parent even more confident for them, because of how secure everything they do is now by using 1Password.
There are not many downsides to using 1Password, but some of the user enhancements that could be better......I think most of the ones that I can think of have alreadyd been added over the last 7 years I have been using it. For instance, ability to upload icons when they do not pull in, or ability to attach files to entries. Things continue to get better. If I had to point to one thing, I think the communication on the enhancements that have been made could be better. I see the notes and most of the time I have no idea what they actually are or are doing. Having video's of things would definitely I think make things more clear to me, especially if they were dumbed down to a level that makes sense. Just when I thought I might be on to something, I checked the website and look what I found...1Password University. Great Job, maybe better communication on what is available, as I had no idea, nor do I every remember getting something telling me about this. Or the webinars. I will be doing both in the future.
The multitude of passwords that are needed these days and the ability to track them, with 1Password it is a gamechanger that I have forced my kids and spouse to use just because of how easy it is to use.
The peace of mind that comes from knowing all of my most important information is in one place - that my most trusted people can access quickly and easily.
Not all websites interact it the same way - which isn't 1 Password's fault. So, it takes some tinkering to accurately name the Login Name. But that's pretty minor.
When I started consulting for a healthcare company, they were passing around a Word doc with all the passwords to everything on it. Now, 1Password (for business) allows us to securely maintain passwords to many, many applications - without anyone having to really "remember" anything.
How easy it is to deploy to end users and to manage 1Password updates and Browser 1Password extension updates. 1Password is always offering new features such as SSO intregration with Okta. This makes it much easier for the folks manager 1Password and End users who only need to rememeber the Password to log into the SSO provider. 1Password Business plan offers the end user to have their personal accounts covered by 1Password as well which is great.
I do wish the insights are more roburst. The switch between 1Password 7 and 1Password 8/ Teams was a bit more manual then I would have liked as end users would need handholding vs 1Password 7 making the on the computer vault into 1Password Teams.
1Password is solving our password sharing issues as well as password storing issues. It is easy to use by generating passwords. IT & Security do not need to worry about folks making up their own weak passwords and having to constatly doing password resets as 1Password can store all the passwords our users may need
It is really easy to integrate with a lot of other apps across plenty of devices. Plus the grouping feature lets me order my password for different environments such as Personal Passwords and Work Passwords, for example.
Of course, if you don't have internet, you can't access your passwords. And I've heard people complaining about security concerns making it difficult to use, but I can't disagree more.
As a Software Engineer I've tried lots of softwares maybe once or twice years ago and forgot the password. Later, when I wanted to use them again I'd have to reset the password and that's a bummer. Now with 1pass that is not a problem no more. And of course I have LOTS of accounts not linked with any of my social networks, so now I don't even have to worry about remember them.

The addition of the secret key makes a breach similar to their major competitor highly unlikely or impossible. Beyond that additional layer of trust, the apps function smoothly, quickly, and is great looking to boot. What's there not to like here?
It's more money than some other solutions. Not quite as deep integration options for enterprise than another market leader.
Securely storing passwords for ourselves and our customers with a high degree of trust required by them. This enables us to easily store and access all highly privileged information for the delivery of technical IT services.
The secure model, automatic provisioning and leveraging unlock with othe SSO options enhances the access and use of the product.
I wish it was easier to access the Password Generator and set the defaults
Storing Passwords Shared Account access with MFA/2FA Supporting and strengthening online passwords Streamlining user access and workflows
The ability to generate and securely store as many tricky passwords as I need and be able to access them over a range of devices.
A bit fiddly trying to read, rather than copy, your passwords.
Improved cybersecurity as we're now able to use long, complicated and different passwords for each site, without worrying about forgetting them or having a paper record.
The clients are good, cross-platform and have powerful CLI and scripting capabilities.
It's hard to call this a dislike, but compared to our previous solution, the policies are very basic and can't be applied to subsets of accounts.
1password is a robust enterprise password management solution that allows us to easily and securly share passwords within our organization. We have also begun to utilize the secrets management to enable us to keep passwords out of configuration files and give more flexibility to dev->prod rollouts of configurations.
I have been using 1Password for several years now, and I must say it is an exceptional password manager that has greatly simplified and secured my digital life. From the moment I started using it, I was impressed by its robust features and user-friendly interface. First and foremost, the security measures implemented by 1Password are top-notch. The master password and optional two-factor authentication provide a solid layer of protection for my sensitive data. It is also easy to use and team members like it. 1Password's integration with various platforms and browsers is seamless, allowing me to access my passwords and secure notes from any device or browser. Whether I'm using my desktop, laptop, smartphone, or tablet, I can effortlessly synchronize my data and have it readily available whenever I need it. The password generator feature is a game-changer. It not only generates strong, unique passwords for all my accounts but also automatically fills them in on websites and apps, saving me valuable time and eliminating the need to remember complex passwords. I have also been able to share it with the team and get them to start using it as a password generator in their personal accounts.
Not so easy to setup domain authentication
Team uses a lot of shared accounts, this ensures we can safely store passwords and not worry too much. We also utilize the domain breach notification system.
We've had a fantastic experience with 1Password, which has proven to be a significant improvement over our previous password management service. Not only does Agilebits offer an excellent product, but their team has also been incredibly supportive in assisting us with the smooth transition of our employees to their platform.
I don't really have anything negative to say about the product so far. In addition to our team adapting to it with minimal support, we've enjoyed all of the features 1Password offers. I guess some things like 2FA are not super easy to setup but having used the product for a while, they're working hard to make it easier to use all of their features.
As a company managing a multitude of passwords, including shared credentials across different departments, prioritizing the security of these passwords is of utmost importance to us. After transitioning from our previous password management service, we conducted a thorough review of several leading password management solutions, and we are delighted with the choice we ultimately made.
1Password is an easy to use password manager that serves a vital function in our organization. Not only does it encourage strong passwords but it also helps users not repeat the same password in multiple places. There are also a variety of Admin tools and reports that you can use to help keep your environment safe.
The only negative I can point out is that it can be a little cumbersome to setup initially. But 1Password provides so much guidance and help, along with tools to import passwords from other password managers, that makes it an easier setup.
1Password is an important part of our Cybersecurity strategy. It helps our users to use strong passwords and not repeat the same passwords in multiple places. It also makes it easier for us to share confidential information and ensures that only certain people have access to it.
easy to use, easy to share passwords, easy to use in company setting
the new update where it seems that you cant access local vaults anymore, everything has to be in "the cloud"
Multiple Passwords for multiple accounts - no problem - everything is perfect organised with 1 password
