We utilize Airbase for the following functions: Spend Management AP Automation Expense Management Invoice Management / Billing It is exceptionally user-friendly and intuitive; a perfect spend management software tool for startups. Not only is he unwaveringly reliable and accessible, his creditability as a Certifificfied Public Accountant and his extensive experience in audit at PwC provide him with a comprehensive accounting background and unique set of skills that allow him to truly understand our needs and questions before we even ask them. Highly recommend!

Needs more bandwidth to load quicker during high-traffic times - needs to be able to view invoices by vendors based on posting date (rather than invoice date) - the search function needs to be improved such that results do not indicate "no vendor" for existing vendors if search is performed before the full vendor list has loaded

Jag is aware of any and all issues / questions we have and is actively working to solve all of them. We collaborate with him extensively - truly great customer service from him.

Generate all kinds of reports to fit my needs for weekly review and month-end close. I can easily view bills on the main screen without downloading them. Some software I used does not provide a preview function and needs to download a pdf file

Had issues syncing with NetSuite and no error messages for those unsynced items. Can have the types and numbers of unsynced items shown on the dashboard so users will not miss any.

I am an end user of Airbase and had no problems using Airbase. Airbase did help me in reviewing bill transactions and pulling customized reports, and it increased the efficiency of my weekly review process.

Overall, it's great that Airbase manages all our spend in one place, regardless of how the spend is made. We manage bill payments, virtual cards, and physical card spend all within Airbase which gives us a holistic view of our spend. I especially like that all spend -- regardless of type -- can go through a single approval flow, which makes our managers' jobs significantly easier which leads to better compliance with our spend policies. Netsuite integration works great also.

Overall we're pleased with Airbase, but where they have some room to grow is on international reimbursements. We currently cannot reimburse our UK employees via Airbase so we have to manage that through a separate (manual) process. However, they have indicated that this feature is coming soon.

The biggest problem that Airbase solved for us 100% was that before, we had spend for all vendors on a couple of individual's company cards, which led to major headaches in terms of tracking spend and receipts. Now, with Airbase, we have individual virtual cards per vendor and an automated receipt collection policy that allows managers to upload receipts (and we have strong compliance there). This, along with the NetSuite integration of the virtual cards, has led to massive efficiencies for our accounting department.

Airbase has transformed almost everything related to payments at our company, including: -Paying contractors - domestic and international -Processing invoices - the invoice scanning feature works extremely well! -Tighter control of and visibility into spend -Accounting for our spend, especially amortizing prepayments - the QBs integration is strong

Some improvements I'd like to see are: -Offering credit, not only prepaid cards -Allowing international payees to input bank details on their own -Making it slightly easier to view employee-level spend - you can't navigate to this view from the "People" tab -Allowing for contractors to list multiple banks These are all nice-to-have, and my understanding is that some of them are in the roadmap for early 2022.

Massive reduction in time spent (1) paying invoices of all types and (2) accounting for them

Upsides are the easy uploading of receipts and the quick reimbursement process

Little to no downside, I have not found features that dont make sense. First reimbursement came through and it was very easy to verify my bank account.

Making it super easy to get reimbursed while traveling. One place to keep receipts online, one place to keep track of what has and hasnt been submitted.

What I like best about Airbase is that it has never failed me. I can easily find anything I need becuase the interface is straight-forward and the website is fast.

With Airbase we can make reimbursements super easy for employees. I can also manage my supervisor's account to give information on his charges. Also, we have virtual cards so I don't even need to ask for reimbursement. Also- our information stays private via the virtual cards.

We were looking for a tool that could help us manage expenses, bill payments, corporate cards and employee reimbursements. After evaluating several options, we decided on Airbase and it has DEFINITELY been the right choice for us!!! Ease of use, thorough documentation and videos, the integration with Quickbooks Online, and the superb customer support make this product a solid choice in today's competitive landscape.

There is an initial learning curve and setup does take some time. Once the learning curve is completed, the product is simple to use. The corporate cards are pre-funded cards. We weren't aware of this at the beginning and again, once we understood the system, it worked well for us

As a small business we are always looking for the best way to control expenses and Airbase helps us do that. It is an easy to use, intuitive tool that continues to provide value to us on a daily basis. Whether it's through the simple Bill Pay section, or the easy integration to Quickbooks, we are able to keep an eye on our spend metrics, while ensuring our AP is timely and employee reimbursement is a smooth, simple process.

Love the easy submission format with Airbase! I've used quite a few reimbursement tools before and by far Airbase is the simplest to comprehend. Airbase allows for easy tracking of expenses submitted and tracking through the approval flows. It's so easy to create tags for proper internal tracking as well. Overall, such a big win for daily expenses, but an even bigger win for our team's large onsite event spending. So thankful for such a great tool!

As long as you have patience in creating the tags, the rest is super easy and straightforward!

Airbase allows for seamless submission, tracking, adding notes, and approval process for receipts and other business spending. While used daily, it's such a saving grace during our peak event season and spending while onsite with clients.

Airbase provides 3 essential functions that are eliminating the amount of SaaS vendors that I interact with. 1) Bill Payment Solutions 2) Virtual Credit Cards 3) Expense Reimbursements With only one platform, employee onboarding is simpler, and month-end close is significantly simpler. The bonus is that the cashback from virtual card spend essentially pays for the platform fee as well!

Okta SSO is an upsell. With the importance of security and how other vendors offer this for free, it's a bit of a bummer that this is not included in the base package.

Airbase solves the problem of too many SaaS tools for onboarding and offboarding. With 3 different software for the 3 different services, we would have to onboard 3X longer to ensure that everyone in the organization gets the appropriate access.

Airbase's platform is user-friendly and allows our Company to easily manage all of our spend. Prior to Airbase, our Company experimented with similar products (Divvy, Brex, Ramp), none of which could match the experience that Airbase provides. Additionally, our assigned customer success team is world-class and responds to all of our requests / questions promptly.

I believe this is in process, but the one ask would be to allow for a report to show all open cards. The customer success team has built a custom report to achieve this objective, so no complaints related to this report.

Prior to Airbase, we couldn't effectively control the spend and we'd issued too many cards to too many users (legacy system, not Airbase). Once we implemented Airbase, we were able to eliminate unnecessary spend and control wanted spend. Additionally, the integration to NetSuite has been seamless and allowed for a much more efficient close process.

Being able to assign a pre-approval process at a startup stage is monumental in being able to manage our spending as a company. Airbase allows replace what used to be 3 systems, and creates an easy way to allow additional visibility for spend owners and approvers.

Sometimes finding the right record can have you clicking through the website a bit, but once you recognize where records reside it becomes easier to find. All in all not a crucial issue because the export reporting is very straightforward.

We're able to straight line our AP process. Approving managers don't have to learn different systems for approvals for their invoices & employee reimbursements. IT is able to be alerted when new web subscriptions are purchased. Finance and accounting have visibility into purchases earlier in the process than we would have been in the past.

The ease of use with the Airbase expense app is bar none. It's so simple to scan receipts on the fly when your still at the restaurant. No more lost reimbursements.

It was a little difficult to get the account activated, but I finally figured it out.

Allowed me to receive a reimbursement for onboarding costs related to my personal office setup. It was a straight-forward process to receive money.

The integration with our bank is extremely helpful and allows us to utilize the banking card platform while taking advantage of the automation and integration with NetSuite provided by Airbase. The expense reimbursements are easy for our employees to navigate, and the fact that they only charge for use on that front is great. I really appreciate the deeper level of NetSuite integration that Airbase offers compared to other similar platforms.

The limited admin users can cause an issue, they negotiate hard on this piece like a standard software vendor, but I think providing for more admin users would actually allow for extended use and adoption. Would like them to expand that offering.

Airbase has automated a lot of the mundane month-end tasks that we have to do related to reimbursements, credit cards, and purchasing/expense management. This saves us time and probably a headcount of hiring that we can repurpose into another area or department. Really great.

Incredibly fast onboarding experience. Simple to use, and easy to train staff on self-service use. I love the direct connection to the GL - it's made accounting reconciliation super simple.

Some elements of the broader platform can still be a little buggy sometimes - I've had to get support involved for a few international payment issues. It also misses the credit functionality of Brex - if an unanticipated large purchase needs to be made and you don't have prepaid cash loaded up, you need to wait until the balance for the deposit reflects before the card will aloow spending.

Airbase has become our centralised spending platform: every dollar we spend goes through Airbase, which means we can authorize, track, and shut down where necessary.

Airbase was easy to use and never faced any issues with payments. It also helps managing easier across teams.

Nothing I can think of. It would be nice if cards can be created with a specific user name.

I like that I can manage a majority of non-payroll spend for the Company from within one platform. This includes Bill Pay, virtual credit cards, physical credit cards, and reimbursements. I am able to set up advanced approvals so that all bills are approved by the appropriate spend manager before going to finance for final approval and payment. The interface is intuitive, clean and easy to use. Also, being able to set spend limits on credit cards allows us to catch when spend for a certain vendor is higher than expected.

There aren't many downsides to the platform. One downside is that their pricing can be confusing, there are a bunch of different tiers and usage levels. For instance, the reimbursements feature is too expensive to have for all users at our company because many of our employees only submit a single reimbursement per year but we'd still have to pay for that user to be on the platform.

They're solving the problem of having various systems for payments at a company. They are solving this by offering one platform to manage all non-payroll spend. They are making my life much easier by having only one place to manage all of this spend. Also, they are solving the problem of spend approvals by making it easier for managers to approve spend directly within the platform.

Quickly resolving company expenses.

- Unlimited virtual and physical cards issuing them worry-free - Tracking, monitoring, and reporting are heads and shoulders above what we had previously - Multiple functions (cards, payables, reimbursements) on one platform help simplify the overall process significantly

- The initial setup can entail a lot of steps, but it is easy once you get going and worth it for the overall functionality later on - Syncing different transaction types to our financials entail different processes and can be a bit of a learning curve

- Multiple platforms for all of the features Airbase has created process headaches - Intelligent coding on physical card transactions is much better than manually tracking through spreadsheets - Automatic syncing to our financials is amazing

We are a start-up software company who recently switched our spend management system to Airbase. Airbase has reduced our close time tremendously. In fact, most of our close happens throughout the month instead of doing everything after the period. The NetSuite integration is great and thanks to this we have reduced our manual jounral entries, which speeds up the close as well. Ultimately, we love having all of our spend (credit card and A/P) all in one place rather than having to manage multiple spend systems and reconcile multiple statements. Airbase is a perfect tool for true spend automation in all aspects of the business.

Airbase is a newer spend management system and with that comes some bugs. We have run into back-end software issues before with items not integrating with NetSuite properly, etc. and the reporting is not up to speed yet with other spend management systems, but Airbase's customer success team replies to our requests very quickly and much of our product concerns are being addressed with monthly product updates.

Doing anything manual, whether is it journal entries or expense reconciliation adds a lot of time to the close and reduces our time to add value to our financial reports with important analysis, etc. Airbase has greatly reduced the amount of time doing manual items and not we can focus on the more value-add items.

It's easy to capture receipts, create reports, and ultimately get reimbursed. From a management perspective, it is also easy to view and approve my team's requests.

No one likes doing expense reports but given that it is a necessary evil I have no complaints about Airbase. Managing a team of 20 people who are often expensing things I have seen a huge increase in adoption.

My team is more likely to submit accurate expense reports and do them on time. This is helping us tighten our forecasted budget reaming for the year to allocate spending.

Airbase is easy to use, has a sleek interface and allows me to quickly submit expenses for reimbursement. The tagging feature makes it easy to have things coded to the correct department, minimizing the back and forth between myself and my manager. The direct deposit of funds into my bank account means I don't have to wait until payday to see the expenses.

Sometimes the auto scan feature does not catch the merchant name or amount correctly, so I have to manually enter it myself. That's been the only slight 'bug' I have found in the product!

It has been easy to use from the beginning and solved all problems we were facing as an org, so no complaints.

It's solving the problem of invoices living in everyone's inboxes and not being able to track money in and out of the company. All our expenses and billing are in one place now!

There are very few times a relatively simple tool can fundamentally improve your work life. Airbase is one of those revolutionary tool. All the little software subscriptions are quickly getting out of control. People sign up for the free trials and forget to cancel their subscriptions. People wait until the last minute to cancel unused software subscriptions - then forget to do it in time. Multiple departments sign up for the same software - unaware they could be getting discounts or reassign unused licenses. The software sales guy agrees to waive overage-fees... but the accounting team tries to put a couple thousand in overage fees on your card. All of these problems are easily controlled with Airbase. You can schedule cards to be canceled, put a $100/month limit on a card to block overages. If one department tries to sign up for a piece of software, airbase lets you know that other departments have licenses. It's really amazing. I love how easy it is to upload receipts, how simple it is to request increases in the monthly card limits, how Airbase lets you know subscriptions are coming up for renewal and how it distinguishes between business critical subscriptions vs. nice to haves. I'm usually very difficult to please - but Airbase is absolutely amazing.

The only thing I can think that would make the software better is if they could find a way to automatically upload the invoice/receipt from some of the key vendors. They've simplified the process of importing invoices - but they haven't revolutionized it.

I love the user experience. It is one of the best platforms I have come across in terms of ease of use, layout, navigation etc. The customer service has been absolutely above and beyond what I expected, from the on-boarding process through to the continuing support.

I haven't found a downside of using it so to speak. There are a few add-on features I would wish for but these are really just things that would serve to make an excellent service even better: - I wish the receipts attachment icon was just a little bigger or clearer. When staff first start to use it, they often attach the receipt into the contracts area by mistake and miss the small icon - I wish there was a feature that learned your spend pattern and indicated when you should adjust your auto load settings or increase them.

Prior to Airbase, the entire team of this small, non-profit organization used one company card to spend on. The reconciliation and receipt tracing at the end of the month was a nightmare. Payments to vendors were often made before a vendor was approved and while vendors were not paid late, Airbase has meant that we can pay our small business vendors the moment we receive an invoice. We are now able to carefully control spend, easily track who is spending and more importantly hand autonomy over to our staff for certain areas of spend that are already budgeted for (e.g. each member of staff has a $ amount approved to set up their own remote office). The fact that this integrates with Quickbooks is saving us so much time at the end of the month. Our bookkeepers don't have to do anything with our expenses as they automatically post to the correct category in QB. I really can't recommend Airbase enough to any small business trying to get some control or visibility over their purchases.

Ease of use and Simplicity of interface is really impressive. Reimbusement queues are an excellent addition. Great to see what's due back and timeline of reimbursement. Airbase also enables a high degree of granularity for understanding spending, and spend management. Classification and Amortization features also really smart, and the conrol we have on spending with being able to shut down the virtual card is a very cool capability.

The search and reporting features could be better, but we're splitting hairs. Web based version is a bit clunkier than the app, but you'd expect that these days. Again, anything else we could pick on is splitting hairs.

PO related issues have reduced to neglible, spend management is much better and control of spending/cashflow has improved greatly. Slack reminders to submit expenses quickly has improved expense process flows.

Airbase keeps track of all expenses. It is so much easier than doing it manually, both for the person submitting expenses and the one collecting them.

By consolidating expense/billing management into a sleek and streamlined UI, Airbase has really improved our budgeting solutions. Airbase has a user friendly demeanor so its not overwhelming for newcomers, yet it has the required depth for senior finance team members. Airbase is also constantly evolving its product to stay on the bleeding edge of finance solutions. Working with Airbase has been a treat!
