Cons
  • Invite caps for signature invites per user per year (~100) may penalize heavy users and incur extra costs.

airSlate Expert Review

airSlate advertises “unlimited users for all plans” on SignNow, and it is true — what it rations instead is signatures. The €8 Business plan includes 7 signature invites a month. Business Premium costs 88% more and includes 100 a year, which is 19% more. Enterprise costs double Premium and includes exactly the same 100. And because annual billing swaps a monthly allowance for a yearly one, paying up front on Premium or Enterprise gives you 20 fewer signatures a year than paying monthly.

  • What it is: The parent company behind pdfFiller, SignNow, US Legal Forms and altaFlow.
  • Best for: Teams with many people who need to sign and few documents to send.
  • Pricing: SignNow €8–€30/mo; pdfFiller €8–€15/mo. Both annual. Verified August 2026.
  • The honest catch: The seat count is unlimited; the signature count is not.

What Is airSlate?

airSlate Inc. is a holding company for a family of document products rather than a single application, which is the first thing to understand before pricing it. The family covers:

  • pdfFiller — a browser-based PDF editor, form filler and document manager.
  • airSlate SignNow — electronic signatures, the direct DocuSign competitor.
  • US Legal Forms — a library of over 85,000 state-specific legal templates.
  • altaFlow — the no-code workflow automation product, formerly airSlate WorkFlow.
  • Instapage — landing pages, sitting somewhat apart from the rest.

One thing to know before you click. Findstack’s airSlate listing carries an affiliate link whose hostname is partnerstack.signnow.com, and following it lands on pdfFiller.com — not airslate.com, and not signNow either. The commercial relationship is live and attribution works correctly, but the button sends you to a different product in the family than the listing names. This review covers pdfFiller and SignNow, because between the listing and the link those are the two products actually put in front of a buyer.

How airSlate’s Products Work

pdfFiller is the entry point and the most conventional of the three. You upload a PDF or pull one from a library of over 25 million fillable documents, then edit text, redact, merge, split, convert to Word, or turn it into a fillable form hosted at a shared link. It is closest in function to Adobe Acrobat’s online tier.

SignNow is the signature layer. Its unit of billing is the signature invite — one request sent to one recipient. Everything else about the plans is generous: unlimited templates, unlimited users, mobile apps, court-admissible audit trails. The invites are what you actually buy.

The two connect. pdfFiller’s top tier bundles SignNow, so a document edited in one can be routed for signature in the other without leaving the account — and, as the pricing below shows, that bundle is where the arithmetic gets interesting.

airSlate Pricing

pdfFiller’s three individual plans — Basic at €8 a month, Plus at €12 and Premium at €15, each marked “Annual commitment”

pdfFiller

Prices are served in euros to European visitors; the ladder is the same shape elsewhere.

Plan Price What it adds
Basic €8/mo, annual Edit, fill, merge, convert to Word, support within a day
Plus €12/mo, annual Reusable templates, fillable fields, version history, password protection
Premium €15/mo, annual SignNow Premium included, US Legal Forms library, web forms, custom branding

Every card says “Annual commitment” and carries a discount badge — 67% off on Basic and Premium, 70% off on Plus. Selecting Month-to-month from the schedule dropdown left the displayed price unchanged at the annual figure in our capture, so the monthly price is never actually shown. Working backwards from the advertised discounts puts it at roughly €24, €40 and €45 a month respectively, but pdfFiller does not print those numbers.

The interesting line is Premium. At €15 a month it states that a SignNow Premium plan is included — and SignNow Business Premium costs €15 a month on its own. If SignNow Premium is what you want, pdfFiller Premium appears to deliver it at the same price, with a full PDF editor and an 85,000-form legal library attached. That is pdfFiller’s own claim on its own card and we have not verified the bundled tier feature-for-feature, but it is worth ten minutes of your time to check before buying SignNow directly.

SignNow

Plan Annual Monthly Signature invites
Business €8/mo €20/mo 7 per month (84/yr)
Business Premium €15/mo €30/mo 100/yr annual, 10/mo monthly
Enterprise €30/mo €50/mo 100/yr annual, 10/mo monthly
Site License Custom $1.50 per invite, volume discounts

Users are unlimited and free on every plan, which is genuinely unusual — most of the category charges per seat. The annual discounts are also real and large: 60% on Business, 50% on Premium, 40% on Enterprise, and each matches the advertised euro saving exactly (€144, €180, €240).

The allowance is the price

Divide each plan’s annual cost by the signatures it includes and the ladder inverts. Cost per signature does not fall as you move up — it climbs, every single step:

Bar chart of airSlate SignNow’s cost per signature invite, rising from EUR 1.14 on Business annual to EUR 5.00 on Enterprise monthly

Three consequences follow, all of them from SignNow’s own pricing FAQ:

  • Enterprise includes no more signatures than Premium. You pay double for branded signing, SMS invites, identity verification, conditional fields and approval workflows — features, not capacity.
  • Annual billing lowers your allowance. Premium and Enterprise include 100 invites per account per year annually, but 10 per month — 120 a year — on monthly billing. Paying up front saves 50% and costs you 20 signatures.
  • Beyond the allowance, plans move to pay-as-you-go. SignNow says this happens “with no interruption to your workflow” but does not publish the per-invite rate anywhere on the pricing page. The Site License card’s $1.50 is the only per-signature number shown, and it is the volume-discounted one.

What actually decides your cost

  • How many documents you send, not how many people sign them. Unlimited users is real; the constraint is entirely on outbound invites.
  • Whether you exceed the allowance, and at what rate — a number you will have to ask for.
  • Whether you want SignNow bundled or standalone. pdfFiller Premium and SignNow Business Premium are the same €15.
  • Billing cadence, in two directions. Annual is 40–60% cheaper and, on the upper plans, 20 signatures a year smaller.
  • Which currency you are served. The Site License card quotes $1.50 while every other card on the same page quotes euros, and its subtext reads “Instead of €1.5 billed monthly” — a per-signature rate described as a monthly one, in the other currency.

Who Should Use airSlate

These products fit organisations where lots of people need signing access but the document volume is modest — a property firm where twelve agents each send a handful of contracts, a clinic where every nurse needs the app. Unlimited free users is worth real money against a per-seat competitor, and at 84 invites a year the €8 Business plan works out at €1.14 a signature, which is cheap.

They fit poorly if you send a lot. Once you are past a hundred signatures a year you are on an unpublished pay-as-you-go rate or negotiating a Site License, and the middle of the ladder gives you almost nothing for the money. High-volume senders should price the Site License from the start rather than climbing to Enterprise and discovering it holds the same 100.

Honest Pros and Cons

What works well:

  • Unlimited users on every SignNow plan, including the €8 one. In a category that mostly bills per seat, this is the standout.
  • The annual discounts are genuine — 40% to 60% — and the euro savings quoted match the arithmetic exactly.
  • pdfFiller Premium bundles SignNow Premium at SignNow Premium’s own price, plus a PDF editor and a legal-forms library.
  • The document tooling is deep — editing, redaction, conversion, fillable forms, a 25-million-document library and 85,000 state-specific legal templates.
  • Court-admissible audit trails and mobile signing are on every tier, not gated to enterprise.
  • A genuinely cheap entry point at €8 a month for either product.

What to watch:

  • The signature allowance is the real price, and it is disclosed in tooltips and an FAQ rather than on the plan cards.
  • Enterprise costs twice Premium for zero additional signatures.
  • Annual billing reduces the allowance by 20 a year on the two upper plans.
  • The pay-as-you-go overage rate is not published.
  • The Site License card mixes currencies and describes a per-signature rate as a monthly one.
  • pdfFiller never shows its month-to-month price, only the discount percentage.
  • The product naming is genuinely confusing — airSlate, pdfFiller, SignNow, altaFlow, US Legal Forms — and the affiliate link crosses between them.

airSlate Alternatives and How It Compares

  • PandaDoc is the better fit when the document itself is the sales asset — proposals, quotes and contracts with pricing tables — rather than a PDF you need signed.
  • DocuSign remains the default and the one your counterparty will already recognise, at meaningfully higher cost per seat.
  • Dropbox Sign (formerly HelloSign) is the cleanest simple alternative, priced per user with generous send limits.
  • Adobe Acrobat wins if PDF editing is the main job and signatures are occasional.
  • Foxit PDF Editor is the value option for desktop-first PDF work with a perpetual-licence route.

The honest comparison: SignNow’s per-seat economics beat almost everyone, and its per-document economics beat almost no one. Which side of that you land on is entirely determined by your team size divided by your monthly send volume.

The Verdict

airSlate’s products are capable and the entry pricing is genuinely low. Unlimited users on an €8 e-signature plan is a real advantage that the big names do not match, and pdfFiller is a competent Acrobat alternative at a third of the cost.

The problem is that the number governing your bill — signature invites — is the one number the plan cards do not put in front of you. Count your monthly signature volume before you look at anything else. Under seven a month, SignNow Business at €8 is excellent value and nothing else in this review matters. Between seven and a hundred a year, check whether pdfFiller Premium’s bundled SignNow gets you there for the same €15. Above that, skip the middle of the ladder entirely — Enterprise will not help — and ask for a Site License quote, along with the pay-as-you-go rate they do not publish.

FAQ

How much does airSlate SignNow cost?

Business is €8 a month, Business Premium €15 and Enterprise €30, all on annual billing; monthly billing costs €20, €30 and €50 respectively. Users are unlimited and free on every plan. A Site License with custom volumes and volume discounts is quoted individually, with $1.50 per signature invite shown on the card. European visitors are served euro prices.

How many signatures do you get with SignNow?

Business includes 7 signature invites per month on either billing cadence — 84 a year. Business Premium and Enterprise include 100 per account per year on annual billing, or 10 per month on monthly billing. Enterprise therefore includes no more signatures than Premium despite costing twice as much, and annual billing on those two plans yields 20 fewer signatures a year than monthly. Past the allowance, plans move to pay-as-you-go at a rate SignNow does not publish.

Is pdfFiller cheaper than buying SignNow separately?

Possibly, and it is worth checking. pdfFiller Premium is €15 a month and its card states that a SignNow Premium plan is included. SignNow Business Premium is also €15 a month on its own. If that bundling is a like-for-like tier, pdfFiller Premium delivers the same signature product plus a full PDF editor, web forms, custom branding and the US Legal Forms library at no extra cost. Confirm the included tier with airSlate before committing, since this is the vendor’s own claim.

What is the difference between airSlate, pdfFiller and SignNow?

airSlate Inc. is the parent company. pdfFiller is its PDF editor and form filler, SignNow its e-signature product, US Legal Forms its template library and altaFlow its no-code workflow automation tool. They are separately priced and separately branded, which is why a link labelled with one name can land you on another.

Does pdfFiller offer monthly billing?

The pricing cards each carry a schedule dropdown offering Month-to-month alongside the annual option, but selecting it left the displayed price unchanged in our capture, so the monthly figure is never actually shown. Working back from the advertised discounts — 67% on Basic and Premium, 70% on Plus — implies roughly €24, €40 and €45 a month. Treat those as arithmetic, not quotes.
