We use Confluence as a centralized location for storing our project document with on-premise deployment. Our staff uses Confluence to create project stuff such as meeting notes, requirements, guideline and research reports, it is easy to create content and sharing with the necessary user, keep track of history change, comment and review. It works great with other Atlassian tool such as Jira, Jama, we could create detail requirement in Confluence and manage it in Jama, create relate ticket in Jira
attachment management is not good, hard to delete the old attachment, the UI and menu is not clear enough
We use Confluence to store our project requirement, sharing a document, guideline, meeting minutes, so in all other tools: Email, Jira, Jama.... just need to refer to Confluence. We use user permission to limit access to specify project content
Confluence is a great solution for sharing documentation across a large network of employees. The permission options can be customized perfectly for various departments, from read only access to full editing permissions and more. Linking to Jira is hugely beneficial to tie documentation to actual pieces of work and everyone loves that feature.
Chart formatting is rough. If you make a table and resize it in any direction, everything moves, gets jumbled around and no longer lines up. It's a massive nightmare. Also, something happens during the save state of tables, when its reopened, some cells get smaller and can no longer be edited, which absolutely stalls collaboration on documents across the company. This also causes embarrassment when presenting in front of key stakeholders and the software decides to develop a mind of its own.
Linking Jira to Confluence is really handy for my company as we design software using agile. Our development work lives in Jira and all meeting notes and documentation lives in Confluence and everything ties across those 2 pieces of software really nicely and without much effort. Nesting in the side bar to keep everything organized is an appreciated feature.
I like the simplicity of Confluence. We use it primarily for knowledge sharing on projects and event/client specific information. We also use it to display internal information like training material, company phone book, etc.
There isn't anything specific that I don't like about Confluence.

You can track ticket, who is working on it, log the time you worked on defect
When you attach a file the comments are posted in comments section and not with the attachment. Make sit hard to understand which comment refer to which attachment

well honestly , there is no point that i consider for dislike of this tool.
this is the excellent software with easy collaboration of team members on topics like documentation whether on new topic or previous one. it makes data easy to gather and convenient.this software also provides a feature of notification through e-mail to aware the users time to time .well this tool keeps the routine of the organisation simple and productive nature.
I like that we can keep updating any kind of documents and also all the information is encrypted based on the user while it is pulling out from DB, Every team member have access to edit and share information is a good tool to keep everyone updated, I like that it provides different templates to create wikis and also the facility to connect every information and every document.
Logging into Confluence if you have any type of security is somewhat difficult and doesn't always take the first time around. They can have an SSO or AD drive to get rid of it.

The changes which are being made is also highlighted so that one can get clear idea of change. In confluence, we can track each and every version and can switch to any of page. Files are also automatically versioned. Confluence has organized workspace. One can create space for team, project or department to share information and to keep the work organized. One can do announcements on confluence. Confluence restricts content at the three level: Global, Space and per page.The confluence can integrate with JIRA which I like the most. The task in JIRA can be linked with the confluence page. So, the integration with JIRA, organized workspace, collaborate from anywhere, page versioning granual permission control are feature which I like the most in conflunece.
In confluence when some issue arise, it is difficult to understand what's wrong. The document editing in confluence is not so good. One cannot copy only one column from the table. Updates are much behind the times.
With the help of confluence, I am solving the problem of uniformity.The template is being made in confluence and if someone want to share something they have to follow the template, due to this the uniformity problem is being resolved. With confluence, I am managing my work. I am tracking my work with the confluence. I can easily share my findings and knowledge with my team. I can easily integrate my work with JIRA. The version control of confluence is very helpful. The interface is user friendly. Also the macros, provided by confluence is very useful.

There is no simple to-do/checklist option for simple tasks.
We use this for our development planning and BUG reporting.
Our organization uses Confluence because it's a great collaboration tool and document editor. It's got a great U.I. it's easy to use and integrates with Jira and Zendesk.
Can't say that I dislike anything about it so far. The only thing I hope they improve is the free training support that they have. I wish they would offer free training up until the Mid Level User range.
The biggest reason we use Confluence is the collaboration aspect, the easy WYSWYG editor and the biggest sell is that it can sync to your ZenDesk Database.

As soon as you enter Confluence, you realize that they have dedicated themselves to explaining enough for you to understand everything perfectly. Confluence is a software that allows you to work online with different teams of your company. I am the head of Software and it is very useful to have tools like this, since you can work in groups in the same project. On the other hand, it is very visual, it allows the implementation of images, videos, which makes it easier to collaborate with projects that involve more visual aspects.
Confluence does not have anything to consider really negative, I think it is an application with a simple and careful interface. The only thing that could perhaps improve would be to add more styles within the program, but otherwise, I have no complaints about this program.
Teamwork tools such as Confluence generate a better division of labor and a simple division of roles. Within very large projects there will always be different teams that have to do different activities, therefore, confluence, allows images, videos, texts, that are modified, that those changes are communicated to the rest of the members and also allows you to be aware of any novelty introduced in the project. We have been using confluence from past many years in our organization and I have seen the importance of Confluence. It is wikipedia in our organization and if we need anything to know about any application, Confluence is the only place to have the knowledge base. Its a library in our organization to have known all the things.
Confluence sometimes act weird where it doesn't update the edits we do on page. This allows us to work with the Admins and look around for the issues that's happening to Confluence and if required raise a ticket against Atlassian. Also, the UI is little old and quite too simple.May be they can work on enhancements and add some new features and integrate with other tools too.
We have realized a lot of benefits with Confluence such as a good knowledge base of our organization. This helps a lot of new joiners to just browse through Confluence pages and get the insight of our organization/projects that are they going to work on.
It is really easy to store and view data and refer materials as and when required for internal uses. I love the overall user interface as it seems really easy to use. I have used Sharepoint based services (SBS) previously, however, this seems to be a really simple and great tool. The provisions for others to comment, like and share the knowledge base with other members/resources makes this application really flexible. There are additional provisions like Save for later, watch or share the articles through different mediums.
There could be more add-ons or integrations within the tool like notifying users if there is a section update or so. Nothing personally I dislike up to now as its just been a month evaluating and using this tool.

It is excellent for team collaboration in the creation of our content and work management, we do not always have time for meetings even with people from your work environment, it is a very useful application in that sense, you can include multimedia resources, plan projects , schedule meetings, comment, leave notes to another team member
