Compare CorelDRAW Graphics Suite with other popular tools in the same category.
CorelDRAW is very easy to learn. I needed to learn it quickly for a project we were going to have engraved. Thankfully, the tools and layout of the program make it easy to create a variety of designs. When it comes to engraving, it's critical to have a tool that will allow you to dictate various cut lines vs. engraving, which is where CorelDRAW comes in so handy. It allows you to easily create a design that can be transferred to an engraver or simply edit photos for a printer. Whatever task needs to be done, CorelDRAW makes it easy to learn how to do and carry out.
The only thing I can say that I dislike is the price. The product is extremely expensive, although very useful. The sheer price of the product can make it an unattractive program to many.
CorelDRAW makes creative projects a cinch. With its ability to create vector graphics, it does what most other photo editing program cannot do. Its intuitive tools have given me the chance to spend more time designing and less time simply trying to figure out how the program works. All in all, it's the perfect editing tool for those unique, creative projects, especially when time is of the essence.
The tools that you use when working with graphics, scanned, etc;
I don't think there is much that I don't like about coreldraw.
I have definitely noticed the benefits are the user friendly format.
User friendly vector program that fills all of my needs. Changing scale and color rendering are excellent.
Copy paste hang ups occasionally and left clicking on but maps/images sometimes causes crashes.
I do shop drawings at a sign company
CorelDraw offers all the same features as industry standard software such as Adobe Illustrator but with easier to navigate menus. The autotrace feature is one of the best I have used and the auto reduce nodes feature is great.
CorelDraw used to be more economical than Illustrator however now that it is subscription based it is not. They also do not offer student pricing.
CorelDraw is an easy to learn vector software that is compatible with many other software. It makes design work efficient.
Corel Draw is user friendly software with the best solutions for vector graphic. The lines drawn in it are smooth and perfect, colors and gradients are better than in other vector software. You can make anything you imagine in it.
For 20 years since I use it, still didn't find anything I don't like.
I am a Graphic Designer and had problems with other vector softwares, but always found solution with CorelDraw.
I received CorelDraw as a gift along side my first computer in 1995. I started doodling immediately. It was and still is very easy o use, offering the best user experience ever. It also helped me personally to learn AutoCad. Corel is an excellent Graphics software, with a high level of export to multiple files. I appreciate the flexibility and handling of guidelines. Its great for creating complex shapes, as it has one of the best vectorization tools I've ever used.
All the newer versions of Corel became more unstable. It gained more features, but also got failures/ crashes and some export/ import problems, that happen irregularly and that makes it pretty unreliable. It is also difficult to work with .cdr files in Adobe software such as Photoshop.
Vector Graphics
Corel Draw's ease of use. It has a variety of tools suited for every purpose. Shortcuts such as drag + right click to duplicate help with the flow of work. The powerclip tool is extremely useful.
It can be deliberately obtuse sometimes e.g changing fill properties when nothing is selected etc. Also, it can be difficult to go about changing each line individually into different styles and thicknesses.
As a freelance designer, I use Corel Draw extensively to make technical flat drawings of garments. The three point curve tool is especially helpful and has significantly reduced the amount of time I spend on one drawing. Also, I can visualize different patterns on the garments with the help of the Powerclip tool.
easy of use. interface. page formating. drawing tool. way of function.
i use coreldraw from v 2.0 - i have not any dislike!
i am art director and graphic designer - i am solving all that projects and problems, daily.
This application allows extremely high-quality vector objects outline. When painting there are no unnecessary points, the line is very smooth. Easy and intuitive control of Bezier curves Creating illustrations of any complexity. The quality of other competitive programs significantly lower. User-friendly interface. Multi-page documents. Comfortable working with colors. Qualitative export EPS, AI, PDF, PNG and JPG files. The ability to create blueprints with dimensions.
Not easy to work with large amounts of text. Weak support OTF. Bad OTF fonts lists are grouped into font menus.
Create illustrations, logos, icons, drawings. Complex models such as labels, packaging, stikers and infographics.
Bezier curves.. the way you can manage the tension and the autocorrect tension elimination nodes is just perfect for create smooth curves
power clip its little bit complicated... will be great can do it with a command, and also have a esy key or command for edit the contents of the power clip object
Its better for create projects with perfect traces
