When comparing to regular photoshop, elements has some easy to use tools. It is also much lower in cost.
It can still be difficult to use this product without understanding of photoshop
Quick photo edits and business cards
Photoshop Elements has a lot of power for the Lite version of Photoshop. For the average user, it is all you need. Everything from retouching to enhancements can easily be done with a little practice and learning.
I don't know if there are any things I don't like about Photoshop Elements. Unless you need to do high-level work, there isn't a need for the full version of Photoshop.
We use the full version of Photoshop at work, but at a consumer level, we highly suggest it. It is a great, home-use product.
The different color options and choices to upgrade your photos.
I do not dislike anything it's a very impressive tool to use .
It's been making my clients happy because I can bring a dull photo back to life.
I like the layering, history and photo manipulating capabilities.
I dislike the actions option. It needs to be simplified for actions such as resize, levels, etc.
Manipulating photos to place into work instructions for manufacturing brings clarity to critical build areas and contributes to simplification of process steps.
The price is like 1/8th of full Photoshop. It has just enough features to work well for at home. You can easily adjust colors and clean up images a little and export them to other formats and sizes you may need. It simplifies the regular Photoshop and makes it far easier to use with a much shorter learning curve.
It doesn't allow layers. I figure without layers it isn't really Photoshop. It doesn't offer nearly as much control.
We have tried it before but, we need the full version. So we really haven't solved anything with Elements. It may be good enough if you don't require too much manipulating of your photos and images.
Simple and intuitive, Elements gives your photo editing tools you need for basic use and growing learners. I have deployed this application to middle school students with great success.
Pricing could be better. For all of it's simplicity, this product would be far more attractive with a better price tag.
This fits the bill for our users that don't need all for bells and whistles that come with Photoshop.
It allows me to make quick and easy edits to photos. The options are pared down and great for learning to edit photos.
There are some editing tools missing in this which I wish were included, but I can always use the full version of Photoshop to get those options.
The benefits are speed, ease of use, ability to have new photo editors work on this product without much help. It is fairly intuitive and you aren't bogged down by so many editing options. You can perform all basic functions and get great results.
Plain version and basic function if graphic editing
Auto saving not possible, the work can be easily big enough to make your software crash at unexpected point. And not everyone can remember to save after every step you take.
Simple poster and graphic design
this software has been around for at least the last two decades, it’s usability is the same making it easy to pick it right up again years later
That I can save vector files, i can epxort in .png but still does not retain same type of file illustrator would
Creating marketing material, editing photos and headers.
Great product overall, easy to use all around
Not a beginner program, have to know something about design
Creating graphics and logos for clients
It is the easiest software to start with especiakly for amateur phtographers, instagrammers and bloggers, easy to learn and coordinate with lots of options for making college photos and editing them
As you learn how to work with it it is not professional editing so i prefer to seitch into something more oro for editing rather than usuing basic esiting options
I post on instagram and my blog so i can get advertisments and also sell my photos
This program allows you to edit photos, collages, and digital layouts. You can automatically fix photos and copy one feature to the next photo.
There was nothing I really didn't like other than the format is something that took a while to get used to.
I have been able to use higher quality photos for presentations for clients and meetings with ownership
Although I know how to use Photoshop, Elements is better for business because I am not using it for elaborate design or Photography
It lacks some of the features that Photoshop has, limiting how much use you can get from it.
Using it for website design and deliverable design mostly. We also have realized it's beneficial for editing website photos and headshots.
Photoshop is great for simple design work and photo manipulation. Whether I’m starting with a blank canvas or a photo that needs to be altered, the tools are streamlined enough that I can do whatever detail work needs to be done.
It took a while to get used to, considering the fact that it’s not the most advanced program that Adobe offers. Could be more user-friendly and straightforward, especially for graphic design.
It’s great for designing with fonts that I can’t use in other programs on my computer.
It automatically organizes photos as well as makes them look amazing with great photo editing options. Also makes photo sharing very easy.
Fewer options as compared to the original version, however it is great for beginners and hobbyists. Professional version has more possiblities.
The editing and sharing of photos is simple and fast, and all pictures can be edited in the same tones. I am using it for the Adobe camera raw module, to edit RAW format images direct from the professional camera.
It does the trick for sure, easy to navigate as well.
It's not as in-depth as other Adobe products
Being able to work from home and integrate my projects seamlessly.
Easy to use for an amateur photographer. Less intimidating than the full software.
there are a lot of features that i can't figure out so i only use a portion of what is available.
i used it to touch up photos for my clients.
This program allows for photo editing and print design for small business ads and promotional products. It is affordable compared to photoshop and has many if the same functionality of the full program.
The guided setting seems useful but I do not like the way that it leads you through using the functions. It can also be hard to figure out how to do what you want to do and you have to Google how to get the effect you want.
Creating unique photos/prints/ads/promotions for a nonprofit small business.
A simplified version of photoshop. Very easy to use.
Sometimes not enough options. Much more simple than photoshop.
Photo editing, quick designs
If you're not super tech-savvy for Photoshop, Photoshop Elements is a simpler, yet just as productive, platform.
As a Photoshop user, the Elements version has some limitations that only Photoshop has.
Tried this out as a cheaper alternative to Photoshop. But after using Photoshop for years and accustomed to the interface, Elements just didn't do what I needed it to.
