I like that the photoshop is to a reliable bad believable level, and it’s also very professional and the file size is big.
Sometimes the bugs on the website does lag out sometimes and editing software could be better.
Adobe Photoshop has allowed me to work faster and more efficient.
It brings creative vision to edition and composition Combine multiple images and effects are incredible
Takes lot of system space and reduces speed and great to use
Image edition for website background and foreground as well gives excellent results
Lightroom is quick and powerful for photo editing. I use it to touch up personal photo, improve contrast and lighting, and to make scientific images for publication look the best they can.
I only hate that I can't use Lightroom on more than two computers.
It makes my work process quick and painless. I use it constantly for all kinds of work-related photo editing and it is an indispensable part of my photography.
I love that I can track through my photos rapidly and preserve settings through an entire batch. I also really appreciate being able to design and save my own presets for future projects. Lightroom is extremely easy to begin using, but has hidden complexities the longer you learn to use it in more depth.
The price is high, albeit for a very good product.
I'm now able to batch-efit photographs much more efficiently than before and I have a much broader range of global editing settings, rather than just a limited selection and a lot of pixel by pixel options for alterations.
My #1 favorite thing about lightroom how easy it is to use presets to bulk edit a selection of images. I also love how it syncs with the phone app and I am able to edit photos taken with my phone in addition to images taken with my real camera. I use lightroom to to basic edits on all my raw files and them import to photoshop for more detailed work.
There really isn't anything that I dislike about lightroom. If I had to pick something it would be that Lightroom does not have the ability to have layers - however, that is what photoshop is for.
Converting raw files and basic editing of my images.
Everything is just so brilliant about this software. I used to use photoshop to edit my photos then found out how much faster Lightroom was. The best thing is being able to copy settings from one photo to the next which allows me to bash through similar photos quickly. The panels with all the adjustments in are logically laid out and very effective.
I dislike that it is no longer available standalone. I do not like subscription models. Map location can be a bit temperamental.
I take hundreds of photos, and it always used to be a problem to have to go through editing them all. Lightroom just makes it so much quicker and I find that I am processing photos quicker rather than having them sitting around on hard drives for months because I can't be bothered to do it.
a great option for anyone creating prints, wall art or social media images, very easy to use
I can not think of anything I do not like about the program
instead of paying someone else to edit my photos I can do them myself
The most helpful thing about Adobe Lightroom is its ability to make the editing process so quick. I can have days when I need to edit over 500 images and with Lightroom, I can get them done within an hour or two that same day and have them ready to deliver to clients around campus and off-site.
I think the thing that I like the least about Lightroom is its speed in terms of culling images. Images take way too long to load. Once they are loaded the editing process is quick, but waiting for them to load after uploading is a major hassle. Many of my photographer friends at other universities use another piece of software to deal with this issue. I don't like having to use multiple pieces of software for a job that should be able to be done in one.
Lightroom solves the problem of having a disorganized hard drive as it helps put images files in order. I can also search for images using keywords and metadata which makes my job a lot less stressful.
Bulk editing useful when editing time lapse pictures, you can use the filters that are offered by them,
As for all Adobe offered software's the price of a membership is very high.
Didn't face any major problems that required solving from their.
It makes incredibly complex changes or silly simple ones, depending on what you need for any given picture.
It was very intimidating at first and I did not know how to do some very simple things.
Greatly improved quality of my finished photos, which I use in my jewelry business.
Clean interface but allows very deep customization with advanced tools. Very neat
Can sometimes become sluggish, and navigating an album is better left to other software. Auto-improving an image has never resulted in a better picture.
Simple photo touch-ups, fixing lighting issues, lens correction, export & compression.
Photography dedicated workflow, essential but at the same time professional tools. Everything I need to edit my picture is in it's right place. Possibility to view in one click before and after situation of your photo, black and white points, go back and forth to a precise moment of editing timeline. Another great thins is that camera and lenses corrections profile of all the main manufacturers are available and continuously updated. Moreover the workflow towards other Adobe Suite software is seamless with options in-app to export directly to Photoshop. Another great feature recently added is the possibility to immediately merge differente frame in the case you want to stitch photo together both in the case of HDR or simply pano photos.
Database management can be tricky but once learned is the beats. Management of metadata is difficult and confused. The map view in order to plot GPS tag would be useful but the interface is very bad. When managing huge database some machine learning algorithm shall be added, other software do that for free. When starting to add too many brushes corrections the software may slowdown a lot.
Basically all my personal and professional photography needs. From the storage to the selection and view of all my archive. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom has the best workflow and tools to select edit and export my pictures.
One of the best photo editing tools, lots of options, available on so many devices.
There aren't very many downsides at all, on any device.
Photo editing
These two programs are a NECESSITY for me to get my work done efficiently and professionally - they're a staple in my software list for sure!
Nothing I can think of! It has fit all of the basics that I need it for.
Editing, image re-sizing, essentially all web design functions that require photos require photoshop/lightroom for editing and sizing options.
That with one software you have the ability to edit multiple photos at one time. It saved an obscene amount of time when one aspect is off on all the photos.
That Photoshop CC and Lightroom could not have created one succinct software that incorporates all the benefits of both editing devices and selecting all photos.
Again, Lightroom saved an obscene amount of time when one aspect is off on all the photos. For example, if the lighting is a tad dark in all the wedding photos, brighten & decrease the shadows for all the photos. Rather than tediously having to change it for all of them. This creates unity for those OCD photographers, like me.
I used to use filters to fix the quality of my images, but after using Lightroom, I fell in love. The images that I take look much better, I can fix the lighting, making them a bit darker if I have to and all without distorting the image.
There's nothing to dislike, my photos look even better thanks to Lightroom. I don't have a lot of experience with it, but I've been learning how to use it more often for work and personal use.
Lightroom has helped me create richer looking images as they don't look like your average mobile device photo. I do take photos with my phone, but I can edit them to make them look even better, which is what I love.
It is very intuitive and easy to use for even beginning photo editors. You learn a lot from the software.
There is nothing I dislike. I love Lightroom!
It has helped me learn how to edit photos. The software is very user friendly.
I LOVE lightroom, once you know what you're doing inside that software you are SET. All of the content and photos I was creating turned out incredible, and in the correct formats for our printing team to do their thing
if you dont know how to use lightroom you really have to sit down and take a course in it
solved the problem of not having edited photos or photo content, and the ease makes it so i spend less time finicking with the program just to edit photos
I like that its main purpose to allow you to edit your photos from anywhere. Its as easy to use as photoshop since it is a program that is linked to your photoshop.
There really is not anything that i dislike. I love being able to access my work from anywhere.
if I need to edit on the go or am traveling i am able to work while i am en-route.
I like when importing RAW files, you can change almost everything about how you shot the photo. If you accidentally shot at too low of an exposure, or the tint of the shot is too cool for your tastes, it is easy to slide the bars to correct it. It gives the driver of the software full control to edit the photograph exactly to their own style, taste, and final project needs. It is easy to duplicate photos if you never several edited or cropped differently, and to copy and paste edits from one photo to the next for consistency of color and tones. It is easy to delete bad or unneeded shots from your roll as well.
I wish it had a few more of the photography editing tools that Photoshop itself contains to precisely edit out blemishes, apply filters, and clone patterns. I also wish there was a better way to organize each grouping of photos, whether the people in the photos, or the moments for exporting faster.
I use Photoshop Lightroom from very basic edits with cropping and exposure control, to batch editing hundreds of event photos in a timely manner for clients. I like being able to look at all photos I have taken in one program, versus individual windows or tabs in other programs. The best feature is that it automatically backs up your progress, so you can step away from it without fear that your hours invested into a several hundred photo gallery would disappear. It makes me a more efficient photographer and keeping up with happy clients who get their edited photos quickly!
