I like the massive editing features. They have a well-oiled machine that makes my podcasts sound polished.

Understandably, in an effort to stay bleeding edge, it is easy to get lost with all of the updates.

I am able to clone my voice. This makes it easier to seamlessly connect different portions of audio that needed tweaks.

Speed of deleting unwanted stuff videop tutorials

Frustration at not being able to remove extra layers I wish I could just use Descript for people to watch the videos straight from there (like Vimeo or Facebook)

The editing feature is so powerful, you are editing audio like using Word document. You copy and paste a segment and all the audio properties are also copied 🤯

I am not sure if it is my old Mac but sometimes when adding a file on a new track, the whole thing seems to lag for a bit

Editing is a relentless slave master, so to be able to use a software that makes editing 10x less painful is well worth paying for

Uploading sounds is easy and it transcribes it for you! You can delete words and it sounds so natural.

Putting in background noises can be challenging

Sometimes sharing can be difficult. And it doesn't show you when other people last edited the file.

I love using Descript for transcribing videos.

The only thing that I have a problem with sometimes is that when I try to mass edit a misspelling or uh's and um's, it completely cuts that part of the video. Since I'm not editing in Descript, this can sometimes be a little frustrating.

We used to have to pay for a transcription service at a dollar per minute and wait 24 hours to get it. Now it takes me one hour to edit and it only costs the subcription price.

As a podcaster who does a lot of interviews, I used ot soend time editing an auido version and a video version of my show, and transcribe pull quotes and it was SUCH a nightmare as it would sometimes take a week to get everything done. I found Descript and tried it out for free for a week or so and fell in love with its features and how it allowed me to work smarter, not harder. Now I simply put in the video file, let it transcribe the audio and fix the minor words that are incorrect, and make notes of where an intersting story is and when im done I know have the audio AND the video components of my show done. A bonus has been snipping out the cool parts and making audiograms for our social media to post throughout the week and keep engagment going.

I feel like I'm being nit picky, but i do wish sometimes it would pick up on what we were saying a little better, as some of the words you have to manually go in and change isn't even close to what was actually said. BUT.....it does get about 80-85% of it right, and that even saves a mountain of time not having to transcribe the whole thing.

I've been able to be so much more effective with time management since using Descript. As I stated above, this allows me to essentially have a one stop shop for all my podcast editing needs AND making extra content that I normally would have to use another app/software to make.

It's super easy to use. I'm tech-friendly by don't know anything about this kind of thing. And it's been easy to learn and to edit my videos AND my transcript at the same time. I was shocked to find that there was software that does all of this and more. And the price is amazing.

I still find it a little confusing about how to do the editing (I'm editing the video and the transcript at the same time by doing the editing on the transcript). I feel that if I used it more ... and I had a great tutorial about all the editing tools and how best to use them, I'd be all set.

I'm recording videos for YouTube, and then turning the content into blog posts. I'm doing the editing of all of it in Descript -- the video itself, PLUS doing the transcription and editing of the transcript. Saving a ton of time and giving me a lot more control.

I like the seamless audio editing from a transcript, the EQ built-in, and easy to use functionality.

There's a few quality of life changes I'd recommend, but they are insignificant in the scope of this hugely powerful, game-changing app.

I have cut my podcast editing time down by 50% - I used to use audition, and it was quite challenging and now I am using Descript and I breeze through.

I've been using Descript for over two years, and it's been a game-changer for me. I've been able to produce narrative audio for clients exceptionally efficiently and cost-effectively. Compared to other methods of creating audio using traditional DAWs, Descript has saved me hundreds of hours.

It can occasionally be slow and buggy, and I've had to find workarounds a number of times. But the software has got miles better over the yeras.

I'm able to cut through hours of raw audio tape to piece together narratives exceptionally quickly.

The transcription feature and the way that you can easily copy and paste, delete and even add content, saves an incredible amount of time compared to when we used to do all of this manually.

There are a few minor bugs, not serious.

We've managed to reduce the time it takes to create all our episodes and marketing content by over half. That equates to tens of hours a month.
