Ease and flexibility of development. It's super easy to use , dont need any specific training.
Javascript or custom script is hard to write.
Anonymous forms and internal forms
Foxtrot has done a nice job of allowing us to automate routine functions
A "record a macro" feature would be nice....It would allow better windows integration.
Automation of repetitive tasks; automation of daily functions
I like that the scripting of task is straight forward and pretty intuitive.
There tends to be an issue with running in which a pop up secondary screen is required to complete the process.
Single form entry for adding providers, members, and codes to Amisys. It allows our team to complete multiple tasks concurrently reducing the human resource needed to complete simple tasks.
It's ability to automate functions including GUI related tasks.
I think the price is on the high side. This limits how effective it can be in our company.
Account and software conversion related tasks where changes have to applied in bulk.
The interface is very intuitive- even without instruction on a given process, a user with any level of experience can create a working solution.
Timing of hover interfaces on the taskbar- it's too easy to miss what you're aiming for or to misclick.
Saved countless hours of repetitive tasks.
Makes my job seamless and easier to get other things done
not much is there to dislike, everything I have seen is good
Form Filing and Repetitive Data Entry
By far Foxtrot has the quickest development time for RPA systems, which means a quicker turnaround to having scripts run within our Production environment.
That a computer workstation must be unlocked and viewable for a Foxtrot script to run. Our institution does not like needing to disable a lock screen functionality in order to have Foxtrot run a job totally unattended.
Mass Maintenance, our Bank has saved thousands of processing hours over the past few years.
It's a powerful tool to take automate tedious tasks
It's a busy interface with so many things loaded at the same time.
We were taking a very lengthy process of renaming and editing account permissions in a click heavy system. It also removed the possibility of human error and keying something incorrectly.
If you are a "What If" person, this will work for you. What if we could open this program and save the value stored here and what if we could capture this row and save it to a new spreadsheet? I have yet to use the more advanced targeting that this version employs.
Still getting used to the large splash screen...
We have a program that offers real time money transfers. Our issue was quickly identifying high profile customers and pushing those transfers to the top of our queue. Foxtrot allowed us to monitor, capture and report on any high profile accounts in the queue and send an email alerting the staff. Pretty nice.
Able to scrape info from Website that would otherwise need IT professionals to apply API or heavy web-scraping coding to have the project done.
It's not Foxtrot's fault, but when interacting with website, other factors kicks in, making the script unstable.
Able to grab info from vendor portal websites without looping in IT team.
The company listens and implements suggestions/feedback from customers to develop in their future releases For example, we had the need to call web services using REST and within a couple of months, we saw the feature was released. Their Foxtrot Success Team is very responsive and willing to help with how to questions or if you run into a roadblock.
Would like to see better native support for targeting Microsoft Outlook and the ability to trigger a workflow remotely. For example, when an onboarding request from HR is received containing user information, we should be able to call Foxtrot to start a workflow via API. Would also like Foxtrot to be able to support multiple data sources for use within a project.
Populating financial systems with data, using PowerShell to automate tasks related to our Active Directory.
It is fast and effficient. It works really well.
Not quite working fully with Xperience, but it works well other than that
Customer information being entered that would normally take hours can we done in 30 minutes or less.
I was brand new when I first started using Foxtrot. I took the online basics class and when I logged in it was very user friendly and easy to use.
As far as using and working with Foxtrot I do not see any dislikes. It is a very user friendly application and I will continue to use this in the future.
We use fox trot mostly to make account changes in bulk. It make the changes a lot faster than trying to do it in person.
I like that I can control what Foxtrot does including building naming conventions for saving file types automatically. I also like the interaction using the targeting system to help locate what you are looking to interact with. It makes building scripts very easy.
While the targeting system works great. There are some drawbacks within certain applications that don't allow the use of it. Making it difficult to automate certain processes. Also not being able to use remote desktop applications as part of a script is a downer.
Being able to automate very repetitive processes such as data entry is tremendous. It allows for employees to focus on tasks that require more personal attention.
The uniqueness of the K2 platform is that it has the ability to work as a stand-alone system, separate from SharePoint. It is one of the things that that drew us to K2 is the fact that it is its own platform but that it also plays well with SharePoint. The fact that it also connects to a WIDE variety of other external sources is a huge advantage. You can connect multiple lines of business to each other and simply your business processes. And that is a huge value.
Most of my team has been trained on and very used to K2 4.7. K2 Five represented a large challenge because everything is web based. There is no more forms designer (Please bring it back ASAP) and the designer in the web lacks many of the features that the forms designer had. So K2 really needs to bring back the forms designer from 4.7 or hurry up and get the web version caught up with features. Also, they need to get on-prem releases out MUCH sooner than once a year, especially since they deployed what I would feel to be an incomplete version of K2. I feel like it was released too soon when we purchased it. And the install on-prem was a huge challenge for us as well. But K2 5.2 is much better and so they are definitely on the right track.
We are rebuilding security assessment processes. Also rebuilding our architecture design and review processes.
I've been working with Nintex even before it was Nintex ( Drawloop), and the support has always been excellent in making sure the client has was is needed
Nothing I can think of. The tool has provided the business purpose
Automated reporting
Nintex Workflows for O365, makes automating business processes a breeze and connects to just about any data source.
There is a lack of granular control for developers. The classic forms which have JS support are rather antiquated and the JS library isn't well documented. The newer responsive forms look great on any device but lack any custom scripting, a middle option using a more HTML5/ES6 approach to allow for both scripting and responsive layout would be ideal; along with comprehensive documentation of the Nintex JS library.
Automating paper processes and approvals
What I like best about Nintex is how quickly my developers can spin up new solutions. Rapid application development is where this platform shines. I don't think there's much Nintex can do that we can't do with custom code, but it's so much faster with Nintex.
It's a complex platform with many moving parts, so there are a few areas where we need to look when things go wrong. Troubleshooting can be hard when there's no way to step through code.
We are trying to find a workflow solution that will suit our needs and allow us to move between on premise and cloud installations of SharePoint. Nintex seems like a good candidate for this.
OOTB allows for standing up quick very complex business process in minimal time. Complex enough for the most senior of developers and intuitive enough for the most novice of technical-ish business user.
The nature of browser based development that can't be helped.
digitizing paper processes integrating digital signature technologies to allow for eSignatures. Building supply chain systems

- Nintex workflows are making everyday work very easy without need of manual intervention. A plethora of actions coupled with its integration with other technologies makes it very much unique. - Nintex form is an elegant way to design and give user a better UI experience. Starting from validation to auto population, they provide a range of functionalities which otherwise would require a great amount of thinking.
Nothing so far I have found here that I can dislike about the functionalities it provides users.
Automating multi stage approval process, management of large document repository and notifying its intended recipients, alert and reminder management, custom form submission.
Like the easy to use and loop, condition functions. Convenient to use compared to design workflow. The search makes finding actions esier.
limited feature on office 365. Running slow.
create document sets and configure permissions for users.
Simplicity to design workflows for critical processes. It is a really plus comparing it to SharePoint Designer
Using Web-services and troubleshooting errors.
Lots of workflows for different areas that need approval processes.
drag and drop features, easy interface , easy to implement workflow
tracking workflow, sometimes wotrkflow gets hung
easy implementation , money and time saving
It great workflow frame work and easy to customization
I think if system have many transaction may be slow sometime.
Employee self services .
Reasonably fast development of web UIs while still having the ability to do complex interfacing with desperate systems via .NET coding (service brokers).
No [direct] programming interface to allow for using JavaScript and CSS. You can do it, but you have to "tuck it in under the covers".
We use it within our loan servicing groups to manage the volume of work and reduce how often the data must be touched. We are working to take their entry work and funnel it into back-end systems.
K2 is very powerful and flexible giving us the ability to automate many business processes that were once manual. A little time designing the process saves a considerable amount of time spent on routine processes.
The upgrade from K2 4 to K2 Five requires rebuilding existing forms and workflows, with no direct upgrade path.
We have dramatically reduced the time-spent onboarding and off boarding employees using the K2 software. Account creation and termination is now an automated process with little user intervention.
The abilities of the software to do complex processes.
lack of free training of the software. Software like this should have some free training included.
Onboarding, Engineering change control, Shop floor routing.
K2's platform and toolsets let you build customized workflow processes quickly. The features included for notifications, escalations, and reporting exceed the capabilities of other similar solutions and custom built tools.
With version 4 there are some transitional issues that get in the way of some development and management tasks. From what I see most of those have been resolved in K2Five.
We are using two workflows in production right now. The workflows have provided quick development times and fast turn abounds on issues and new features. Our first workflow has resulted in increased productivity and visibility for users across a range of disciplines from a single dashboard.
