I like video-audio combo. Not needing Zoom for the visual is very valuable to me, especially when I have guests that aren't familar with this kind of tech.

Rvierside.fm makes it so easy to set your gear up, prep, and hit record. It also provides you with prompts for certain types of equipment detected so that you can be double-sure that your settings are correct. Works great for capturing live shows, too. Easy to invite people and as host/producer, you control everything with zero fuss. Learning curve is non-existant; it's intuitive and guides you through all the complex stuff. The AI tools for cutting clips right in the app are great, really excited to see those develop. Also adds autocaptioning, though I wish it had an editing feature. Auto-transcripts, too, which is huge. I love that I can capture in native 4K, and that everything is backed up in their cloud. An amazingly affordable, robust app for podcasting, live events and for content creation.

I think being able to easily edit autocaptions would be nice to have. Having text automatically added to the clips is great, but as with anything, not 100% accurate. Needs so flexibility there. Would be great to have an audience Q&A feature so they can submit questions during a live event.

Riverside.fm is powerful, yet easy to use tool for our podcast, live events and webinars, and for creating social media content. We get a lot of great features without having an app that is bloated and clunky. It's amazingly well-designed.

Love the UI you have designed super simple and sleek. The recording process and export process is nice and simple too. We are also loving the new Clips generator.

I think the download buttons are a little hidden and could be made more focal.

Makes it super simple for us to record our podcast with an all in one solution. Our guests are also finding it super simple to record on as well. The Premier pro export option is also a life saver as we edit in premier pro.

Lots of communication, I enjoy the magic clip testing, it's helpful. I think the platform is easy for guests and hosts even with no experience to get two people in a room to talk!

I use a professional camera and the quality looks fuzzier and not professional as it does when actuallt recording. This is something I'm working out with the team currently, so I don't foresee it being a long-term issue because they're so responsive, and can help me understand what I need to do to improve the footage!

Quality content for my podcast, clips for reels, and better experience for my guests.

The upside of using Riverside is that you are guarenteed high quality audio and video. It also auto creates transcripts and social media video content!

I own a video production business in Colorado and took an assignment to do interviews with some high level people around the world. The client did not want to or have time to interview each interviewee in person on location, so I was tasked with finding an alternative option. I came across Riverside.fm. I was a little intimidated and skeptical at first to try to record a video online and have any sort of decent quality. After the first recording I was blown away at how easy it was. None of the people that i have done inteviews with are technical types and so far nobody has had a problem loging in. My client has had some feedback from the board and they are saying that the video interviews are going better than any in the past. I love that it records locally and then uploads the video to the cloud. I don't have to worry if the connection is poor or grainy. I know the recorded segment will be fine. The ability to download the file for Adobe Premiere is great. I simply download the file drop it in my bin and open the timeline. I can then choose to cut out my audio and video and edit down the interviewee. There is an edit timeline built into Riverside which is nice to use if you want to cut it down and remove the silent gaps in the project. I used it on the first interview and it works great. I can cut quick in Premiere so I am doing it there now but if you needed to edit in Riverside it is a great tool. I am sure as I continue to use it I will find even more value in it. I had one interviewee log off to quick and the video had not finished uploading but it notified me immidiatly and sent me a link to send him for uploading it. I think it may have even sent him a link as well. I give it an A+ and great support if you need it.

I have to make sure that all the people I invite to the studio are on Edge or Chrome. I typically do not use either browser, but maybe the rest of the world does.

That guests tend to leave before their video uploads, this is inconvenient. Hopefully there's a way to workaround this or avoid this in the future.

The automatic sound leveling is super cool! And also the SOME-ready video bites that the AI pulls out are quite good.

Editing options are limited - I use CapCut for that.

With Riverside it's easy for me to host podcasts / webinars with remote participants. The audio and video quality are good. RIverside helps me make small bites for sharing on SOME as well. That's a cool feature.

Riverside is getting closer and closer to a one stop shop for podcast video/audio recording AND post-production. It makes interviews so easy for both hosts and guests, and as a producer, it has so many helpful features to export the audio, create social media clips and content, and the editor is getting better and better. This is an excellent choice for podcasters.

Riverside makes it doable to record high quality audio and video podcasts remotely and to create content to promote the show as well.

It's so easy to use. You set up the studio and hit record. The tools during recording are simple and the ability to download video and audio separately is super useful. It makes editing so much easier, whether you're using the built in editor or a third party solution. I honestly wouldn't use anything else.

I can't think of anything. For my needs it's perfect. My only concern, if it can be called that, is the jump in monthly subscription if I need to use it more. But that's it.

It's giving me a really straight forward way of recording my content without the need for any prior knowledge or technical ability. I just set up and go, which is awesome.

We at Curiosity Continuum home grew our podcast from humble beginnings, figuring out how to make it work in bootstrap fashion. Riverside is the first platform we decided to pay for to help us at the recommendation of a trusted colleague who had used Riverside for years. What a difference. We have cut our post production time dramatically and recording and syncing is easy. Transcriptions are strong. You get a lot of creative leverage out of this platfom. We have been podcasting for years, and this elevated our production game.

Not a downside per se, but more of something Riverside should warn you about. We get charged foreign transaction fees for our payment, which after I was told that the company uses a place in the Netherlands (I think!) for their processing worldwide, that made sense. However, I wasn't expecting the charge. Some more overt messages and warnings about this would be helpful to the customer.

Eficiencies in post prodution dramatic, cutting out at least 60% edit time. Great at syncing audio over wonky internet connections, which saved sync in post production. Guests can easily join and it makes it more turnkey ready for such things. We are experienced podcasters and this made our workflow much easier.

I love that you can easily mark clips as you are recording and then easily turn those into social media clips. They make it really easy to record, put quotes and video clips and download a transcript.

I have not found any features yet I would like added. They are pretty on top of what podcasters need!

Riverside is helping our business create podcasts by making it easy for us as podcast newbies to do everything we need in one place. No need to have a seperate transcription or video service.

I'm new to podcasting and felt excited and overwhelmed about the entire process. Once I found Riverside.fm and learned about all the awesome features and how easy it is to use, that overwhelming feeling reduced significantly. Plus the Facebook group is super helpful and responsive.

Riverside is sometimes confusing at first for people unfamiliar with the platform, which requires me to explain it thoroughly.

The audio quality is significantly superior when using Riverside compared to recording via a digital meeting app like Zoom or Teams.

I came from a competitor (zencastr) and just fell in love with Riverside. The UX is wonderful. The production tools are great. The reliability is great. The support is great. This is the tool you need if you are a remote podcaster.

The ability to record high def even though the internet usually fights against that. Plus there is LED meters to make sure you're getting high quality recordings. This was something I didn't have with my last provider, and my recordings came out different volumes. Here you can monitor.

It's making high quality podcasting possible without expensive hardware. With this package, you have everything you could possibly need to produce your own podcast or Youtube content.

I like how the quality is always stellar as it's saved on each guest's device first then uploaded. That way, even with a bad WIFI connection, the end result is still professional. I'm also really loving the Magic Clips feature they're not testing. It's SO HELPFUL in making short clips of any conversation!

Not being able to blur the background or add a different background is probably the feature that needs most improvement, in my opinion. It also is a bit intimidating for guests that aren't comfortable with tech to use. Although the directions are pretty straight forward!

I've been using Riverside both for video podcasting and for conducting customer interviews for market research purposes. I love that it records audio and video locally to both my computer as the host and the guest's computer. This ensures that there is no lag in the final output. The video quality is 720 and looks really sharp.

I've noticed that when there are more than 2 people being recorded, that it can become quite laggy--more delay than with something like Google Meet. That being said, these problems can be mitigated by turning on some of the low data tools.

It's solving the problem of getting a final video output from a podcast interview that is free of digital lagging or audio issues (since it's being recorded to each user's local machine and uploaded to the cloud afterward.)

Riverside.fm is intuitive. It was easy to learn and easy to use. It helped us create high-quality recordings for our project. The user interface is clean and everything seems to be in the proper place. I tried other popular remote recording programs and Riverside was the easiest to use and gave us great results.

I can't think of any downsides to Riverside.fm. It was easy to learn and produced great results. If there is any room for improvement, I might suggest an editing feature built into the platform. I use Descript to edit my projects and find that really helpful for editing conversations.

Riverside helps us create high-quality recordings for our audio projects. It allowed for us to easily capture our interview content without putting the burden of figuring out the tech on our clients. Not one of the dozen or so interviewees had any trouble accessing the program and figuring out how to use it.

The relaibility of the local recordings is amazing! I have had interviews completely drop out, but the files are always safe. I sometimes have guests who request that I use Zoom, and I am always amazed at how much Riverside is better suited for Podcasters. I also find that they are constantly adding new features. Just today I noticed the "Script" feature which allows you to have a script above the screen which is great for doing an ad read while maintaining your eye line. I also love the integration with Premiere Pro and using the markers that transfer over to my Premiere project. It is a great product!

I have had a few issues where my voice gets out of sync from the video. I am using an SM7B through a Tascam Mixcast 4 into Riverside and ProTools simultaneously, so maybe that is causing an issue..but I just bump it over by about 8 frames in Premiere when editing the video and it isn't a huge issue. The guest is never out of sync, just me. The customer service is always great so they are quick to help you with any issues.

I used to have to provide a long list of instructions for people to do a local recording on Zoom, but Riversdie has completely eliminated that. It is the easiest and most professional platform to just have the guest log on, and get started. All the features throughout are specifically designed for podcasting and it is a premium experience for everyone involved.
