The sheer amount of data within Similarweb is amazing - whatever I need to find it's in there. I particularly like the keyword insights it provides, levelling up keyword research for clients.
The vast amount of data makes it fiddly to format it sometimes in away that's digestible for the whole team. However the Similarweb account managers are great at providing help on this.
It's giving us better insight into our competitors, such as market share, what KW's they rank for etc. This then allows us to make sure we're filling in any gaps for our clients
The fact you can pull in a number of different metrics about a website in one easy place. Can help me highlight other competitors I haven't thought of yet.
I haven't found anything I particularly dislike about Similarweb
In previous roles I would use Similarweb to help me build presentations for prospective clients. I would also use to the data to demonstrate where to potentially allocated marketing budget.
SimilarWeb is an incredibly useful tool for gaining insights on any website or mobile app. The data provided includes in-depth analytics like traffic sources, keyword analysis, engagement metrics like time on site, page views, bounce rates etc. It even allows you to benchmark and compare your website with your competitors, which stimulates strategic thinking and planning. One of the main advantages of SimilarWeb is its easy-to-use interface. It's quite intuitive and beginner-friendly.
Some downsides to SimilarWeb; the accuracy of data can sometimes be inconsistent and unreliable, especially for smaller or niche websites. It works best for large, popular sites, but small to medium-sized businesses might find the data less accurate.
SimilarWeb is a great tool when it comes to website analysis and benchmarking, and should be used alongside other tools for best results. Like all tools, it does have its limitations, and users should be aware of them while interpreting the data
To find the data I need to have inisghtfull ideas to generate new projects or find main opportunities on how to increase the results of my projects. I recommend to everyone that is looking for a way to do market researches.
I think that despite the tool being very efficient on providing the data needed, sometimes is hard to use the search field as it results in different things than you are searching for.
To understand how my final customers are interacting in the web and what kind of services they are most searching for, so I can partner up with the best companies to serve their needs.
Similarweb is a very detail-oriented and comprehensive tool for gauging consumer metrics for the digital world. The host of tools present in similar web acts as a fundamental pillar for developing market-leading strategies and plans.
While it s a very comprehensive tool, it lacks in the area that some countries are still not covered in the scope of similar web, making doing analysis difficult on certain occasions.
Similarweb helped me in identifying and isolating important information from the competitors, including their traffic sources, audience demographics and marketing channels. it is also a comprehensive SEO tool that helps determine the trends and align the business strategy to gain maximum traction on the web. The ability to assess the data related to online advertising is also a big bonus when doing a performance analysis of a business.
Information: Geography of traffic, inflow/outflow, the layout of the tool, overall easiness of use (UX)
My usage of the platform is for compliance purposes and as such, the information has to be refined for my needs and requirements.
Mainly traffic sources (geography) but also, information regarding the URL like number of visitors and outgoing and incoming traffic and sources of that traffic.
Very transparent insights and ease of use, even for non regular users.
The subscription price is a little bit on the higher side.
The transparency in website performance (competitors) which enable me to analyse further on our own represented brands competitiveness.
The holisitc vieww of the data available and the reliability of the source.
I would appreciate more features to easily and quickly slide and dice the data.
Providing a holistic view of the market
Similarweb is a comprehensive online platform that provides website traffic data and insights, which can be useful for SEO professionals in a number of ways. Here are some of the features of Similarweb that are particularly helpful for SEO ; Keyword research, Competitor analysis, Site analysis, Industry analysis
Similarweb like any other tool, has its limitations and areas where it may not be the best fit for all users. Here are some potential drawbacks or limitations of Similarweb : Limited data accuracy, Limited visibility into search engines other than Google, Limited ability to track individual user behavior, Pricing for SMBs.
Keyword research with good opportunities.
The most helpful aspect of Similarweb that I enjoy, is the websites comparison tool. I can see how my brands websites compare and then set benchmarks as a result. This in turn gives me some great marketing goals that I can work towards
The only downside of Smilarweb is that is is a little weak in providing insights into the type of assets your competitors are using in their marketing strategies.
Similarweb helps me identify opportunities on my sites. Such as, marketing channels I should invest in or areas of the website that might need improvement. It also allows my to identify trends and to see if these trends exist on competitor sites.
Similarweb's tool is very useful in the daily work of Organic Performance specialists, as well as in numerous media tenders. Thanks to the large amount of data, which is very well presented in terms of UX, finding and drawing conclusions is very easy. The accuracy of the data is also very important, I have checked the GA data of clients many times and they are very close to reality. You can certainly use them for estimating for tenders, where we don't have first-hand access.
Eveyrthing is top-class, however some more SEO specific tools will be appriciated as we run SEO (Organic Performance) Practice mostly with my team. There is no downsides from my perspective.
Narzędzie Similarweb pozwala dostarczyć niezbędnych danych do dalszych estymacji w przypadkach, gdy nie mamy dostępu do danych z pierwszej ręki.
SimilarWeb is versatile, and we use it for multiple purposes, ranging from SEO research to competitor and market analysis. I've also found that the scope and accuracy of data are unparalleled relative to the competitors I've tried.
The only sticking point is that while they offer a free version, the full-featured version can be quite expensive, particularly for smaller companies.
Similarweb has helped us better understand how we're performing against our competitive set and has aided the team when we're trying to tease out if our performance results from macro or internal forces.
The fact that I can see my competitors and their strategies
They dont have a lota of datas about apps
They help me to see my competitor and their strategies. So I can understand how my product is to other people, most of which is seeing what sites they go to other than mine.
The functionality of the site is easy to navigate. When I am doing keyword analysis it is extremely insightful and a great compliment to reference when looking at Google Trends.
I would say I don't have anything negative to say. It provides alot of needed isight.
I am using it to solve for Keyword analysis and tracking.
Working with the SimilarWeb staff is incredible - they're responsive, helpful, and always on your team to find a solution.
No suggestions from my perspective - thanks!
As an administrator of the platform - that question is better answered by someone else on my team.
Their Shopper tool is significantly better than the other tools in the market right now (compared with StackLine, AnalyticIndex). I primarily use this versus the normal Pro tool but both are strong.
Their normal Pro tool is also very strong but the different plans can be quite limiting. The pricing is very much based on timeframes and for example if you only get the 12-month plan for SW Pro then you don't get Y/Y data which is annoying.
Analyzing departments, sub-categories, and then digging into competitors to best understand what drives performance and how the whole ecosystem looks / performs.
I like seeing the insights on where site visitors are located and how they are accessing the site. For example, seeing the difference between mobile and desktop traffic could make a huge difference in identifying correct value propositions based on your industry.
Nothing screams out as something that doesn't necessarily work well. I believe that every feature can provide value to someone based on what they do. For example, the outgoing links feature has no use for me.
SimilarWeb helps me identify what technologies my prospects are using, helping me come in with the correct value proposition against my competitors. Also helps to see where visitors are located to see if I can even service the prospect fully.
I like how you are able to analyze various platforms all at once.
The downsides of Similarweb include how confusing it can get from time to time regarding analytics and how it lags here and there.
Being able to analyze multiple social media platforms all at once.
Huge amount of data around paid and organic search advertising. Keyword opportunities are extremely helfpul. Creative examples are also handy. Interface is intuitive.
Currently Similarweb does not have data on paid social advertising, this would be useful. Some insights around brand mentions, PR, brand reputation, strength, etc. would be great (SEMRush has this)
SimilarWeb is giving us an accurate regular view of what our competitors are doing in the digital marketplace. This helps our planning and strategy.
I like the ability to track various websites traffic and drill down to specific product categories or even specific Urls. It is easy to use and maintain and provides great insights about traffic trends
Some smaller websites are not available or impossible to drill down to only specific product segments. While it is a great tool for noticing trends in big retailers' sites, it does not contain a lot of information about smaller websites with less traffic
Similarweb is great for running keyword analysis, traffic segment analysis or overall comparing different retailers in various countries. It is excellent to use on its own, but it's also very useful when combined with various other information sources to provide accurate market trends.
