I like how Todoist supports Linux as well as most platforms. It is also very fast. ToDoist has great and simple to use features for a to-do list app. You can create clean to-do lists as well as nested lists. You can also easily share lists with other people.
The biggest issue is no autocomplete. Rival app any.do has an autocomplete feature for grocery lists. This allows you to quickly create a grocery list without fully typing out items. Todoist doesn't have this feature.
Todoist is exactly what the average user expects it to be. With no training, it just works. From tags to projects, to nesting tasks. Simple and straight forward. I love how it syncs perfectly across devices and operating systems.
This tool allows you to organize the different daily tasks you have, the program has an intuitive menu easy to use for any user without spending hours of learning. Todoist is a program that has many options to remember all the tasks you have in the moment or in the future. Todoist has perfect options for professional or personal use, which makes it a complete tool.
I have no complaints about Todoist, the only detail is that its pay version is limited, I really wouldn't recommend it because you can't do almost anything. But your paid version isn't expensive and it's worth it.
This tool allows me to manage the different tasks quickly, it serves as a way to remember the activities I have to do in my personal life and at work. Todoist is a program that is recommended to use the various employees to achieve an improvement in daily activities within the company, with the use of this application and achieved most of my daily objectives without problem.
Todoist is the easiest way for me to stay organized. I love the 'to-do' in order by date vs. an actual calendar. It's very clean and clear what is past due, due today and what is due in the future.
I wish you could add day of the week or month in the task. Whenever you attempt to add 'Monday' or 'June' Todoist assumes you're setting a due date for a task. It would be nice to add "April Reporting' without the system assuming the task is due in April.
Todist is the easiest way for me to stay organized in the various ways I've tried in the last 10 years.
Integrations with google calendar and the API they provide. the fact that you can share your projects and use it as a management tool as well as your own person task manager. the design is super easy to use
sometimes i wish i could have a calendar view of my tasks. they use to have that but then for some reason it discontinued.
project management, personal master actions list, team project tracking and assignments. it keeps me and my team organize and on plan.
Everything. This task management app/software is the best.
There isn't much to dislike honestly. I guess the one thing I wish it could do was be even more customizable in the date selection. I'd like to be select specific days to of the week to put tasks, like the same task reoccurring Monday and Friday of every week. Right now I could only do every Monday, and then make another task recurring every Friday.
This is my task management site.
It's the best to do list tool I ever tried. It's simple, fast and I like it. I really appreciate the fact that it's designed to be unobtrusive in my tasks and very minimal. The fact that you can access it via everything (even my Apple Watch) makes it something that I can't just take away from my toolbox anymore. It's amazing.
Nothing. The tool is great. I'd like to keep it like it is forever. I heard from Twitter that they are planning to add more features but I'm super satisfied by the current state of the product. An example is the fact that it's missing a calendar. Honestly I don't feel that this is a big deal for me!
I have a busy life. Todoist makes it less chaotic! I put everything there. From personal to work stuff Todoist helps me staying organized.
One of the features I like most is that when you add a youtube link as a note it saves it as the title of the video rather than "youtube.com/watch?v=...".
I have to wait 5 seconds after writing a note to be able to close the tab/window so it saves.
Rapid note taking, article saving, etc, on mobile and web
It's super easy to set up and has all the features I could want (tags, lists, calendar integration, ranks, reminders, and so forth!)
I actually can't think of a negative. They are just a task manager. They did so good, I wish they did other things as well like into CRM or such?
Prioritization of my tasks and not taking on too much each day.
I used at least 6 or 7 different task managers and all in all... I'm always back to Todoist. It's the simplest, yet complex, with all the features neede + great design and seamless sync + multiple integration possibilities. The best out there.
There is nothing I dislike in Todoist. Really.
It's the best way to organize my daily/weekly/monthly/yearly plans without actually focusing on the system but through easy possibilities to adapt the system to my needs.
1. Having the ability to organize projects in multiple levels is super useful 2. Natural language is so amazing .. I can't remember a time when I used my mouth in this tool. You can write whatever you want and todoist will translate that into relevant date and time 3. Project colors is something important for me to distinguish projects / areas 4. You can write your tasks using the markdown as well 5. Labels are one of the most important corner stones of any task management system and Todoist done this beautifully 6. Filters are one of the best features in Todoist 7. Today and Next 7 Days view are so important in my day flow 8. Integration between Google Calendar and Todoist in 2 way sync is WOW 9. Recurring tasks are so important in my flow it gives me the power of not forgetting something which needs to be done periodically. Amazing feature. 10. Postponing a task specially if it was recurring is amazing and smart. 11. Easy to add labels / projects on the go if they don't exist in first place
1. Reminders are so annoying 2. Location Reminders are not working! I don't know why 3. Actually price is a bit high because the trial/free plan will not give you a lot you will have to pay eventually
1. I am not on top of my day 2. I organized my life in terms of areas and now I rarely forget something 3. Having integration between my todoist and my calendar gave me a high level picture of my week/day in one place.
I am able to assign tasks to multiple team members. I can add lengthy notes to each task. This enables me to save time from having to contact them by phone to explain things. The list created becomes an agenda for meetings or calls. It is easy to create new projects and team members that tasks can be assigned to.
I wish I could move due dates to a new date or team member by a bulk method.
I needed to be able to keep an effect to do list that I could discuss with the client and with team members and keep track of it to demonstrate movement on projects.
Todoist is a brilliant way of tracking your whole to do list. It is very flexible, with the ability to organise tasks into projects and using a series of tags. Deadlines and reminders can be included, with a smart schedule function if you don't get things completed on time! It can be accessed via phone & iPad as well as online, so it's very flexible. Tasks can be added directly from gmail, using the chrome app, so you can keep track of emails. Finally, it looks great. Your tasks are clearly organised with colour coding and different views, for example by project, by date, by importance.
Nothing! I really can't think of any downsides to using Todoist.
Todoist helps me keep track of my own work and deadlines and that of my team. It makes me much more efficient, and really importantly helps to ensure that things don't get forgotten. For example, I add tasks directly from gmail to Todoist so I can schedule reminders, either for work I need to do or where I'm waiting for responses from team members or colleagues. The ability to organise work into projects and sub-projects makes Todoist very powerful.
It has got nearly all the features you can ask from a task management service. Also, integrations is a strong point of Todoist. It has a two way Google Calendar sync, also integrates well with Zapier.
Everything is going well however, I'm not able to see what I've checked off in the free version. Sometimes a task will get accidentally bumped and marked as done on my phone, and I have no way of going back to retrieve what it was without paying.
It offers the ability to easily organize projects and sub-projects as well as breaking tasks into smaller steps under one heading. It does take a traditional list format. Assigning task to specific team members has made it easier to manage complex projects and tracking accountability.
I like that ToDoist is different from other todoist apps since it provides easily managable to-do lists, which can be ordered into categories and sub-categories, easily rescheduled, and customized with colours, dates, labels, and categories by hand or by special commends while typing the task: well designed to be quick in use!
Personally, it does not offer more sub-categories than 3 or 4. I wish it were possible to have more sub-categories. But it is not that worrying, since it also makes sure that I categorise everything more efficiently with less sub-categories.
I write all tasks that pop-into my head into the To-doist 'inbox' after which I can order them per category or schedule them. That way, I know that all I ever thought of doing is in one central place, and I know that tasks are scheduled where they need to be, and I can also instead to the tasks per 'project' or per 'category'.
Simplicity. Todoist works the way you think it should work. You can create projects, set tags, and if you want you can go very deep in customizing how you report or display your tasks.
Learning the markup took some getting used to. But it's like learning how to copy and paste with a keyboard, once you learn it it becomes very natural.
I would manage over 100 tasks at any given time. Sometimes, I had things I was "waiting for" from others, now I can tag those tasks and pull them all up very quickly. Often, I had things I needed to talk to someone else about, so I can tag those with the name of that person and when I see them pull up all of the tasks I need to talk to them about. The best was tagging tasks according to context, for example, I have a tag called Traveling that I can click and all the tasks that I can do while traveling are displayed. Great for finding something to do in a cab or on the way to an airport!
I love that you are able to keep a digital to do list! It sends email reminders and when new things are assigned to you!
You can't really assign others to do things
I have used this for many different projects to help stay organized and accountable.
Todoist is an excellent task manager, that you can keep around everywhere you are, due to supporting many operating systems and reliable integrations with mailing and calendar solutions. The data synchronise instatntly across every device, so multi-device use is convenient. Besides, it has an efficient interface in the form of "todo list", so you are able to break the task into subtasks, which simplifies following your advancement. Users are provided with an excellent collaboration tool, that makes working in a team more efficient, as you can assign tasks to a specific person, follow their progress and attach files and comments.
The interface is transparent and modern, but if developers add some customisation options to meet the requirements of a specific person, it would be marvellous. Moreover, there's missing a time axis or other calendar feature, that would enable users to check deadlines and time basis quicker.
Personally, Todoist is a tool, that permits me to increase my efficiency, as I can organise my private and business life in one application. It helps me to get into beneficial habits such as reading books, exericesing and doing additional projects.

This application offers you to be strictly organized and especially that you do not forget your activities and tasks, I am pleased to have discovered it since I do not make an effort to keep an event in my mind, always everything it does for me.
