V2 team took me through the onboarding process very patiently. The option to access either through a web browser or the V2 app is very convenient for remote work. User interface is fairly intuitive. Multiple admins can be assigned to the account. Chat feature for any issues is great, with usually a few minutes of wait time.
Microsoft Office Suite is not included in the setup, so opening any Excel or Doc files is out of the question.
Had a huge lag issue with previous service (Right Networks) and V2 runs much more smoothly. Main purpose of the cloud network is to host QuickBooks Enterprise.
V2 Cloud helps us as a company to log into our database quickly and efficiently with none to minimal difficulty. I recommend V2 Cloud to all corporate offices big and small.
There is nothing to dislike about V2 Cloud, as it is very beginner-friendly, and customer support is beneficial and attentive. Although, I will say that it is bland-looking to the artistic eye.
V2 Cloud helps our company input data easier and keep track of information in a user-friendly manner. Our database is easy to use, easy to teach to new employees, and efficient.
V2 Cloud is very simple to set up and start using. It took me about 5 minutes from signing up to set up my first server. I like that you can do RDP from your own computer or simple using the web interface to log into your hosted machine.
There is no downside unless you're not technical. In this case, customer support is like one click away in chat and they help you instantly. I think only one time, I had to wait about 5 minutes for support. Online chat support is great since it's 24x7 and US-based.
Problems I'm solving: Having to purchase a physical server, then host it myself. Benefits: Saving a huge amount of money and time from having to get my own physical server. If you add up all the costs associated with a physical server: the server itself, warranty, software, a rack (if you need one), network cables, switch (if you need one), electricity, IT support - you're paying a lot more for that than just simply hosting it at V2. You'll save tons!
We have a unique need for what we do which often requires a lot of support. V2 has been phenomenal in providing top-tier support around the clock
There maybe a solution for this, but I wish there was a way for us to send remote-controlled commands or get alerts on specific things like if a google chrome window closes, we get a notification on slack as an example.
V2 is allowing us to provide secure services to our clients through each of their virtual instances.
I like how this allows everyone to work remotely without compromising security. In a remote company with limited resources, you can't always give everyone their own laptop but you can launch a virtual desktop that is secure. Saves money in long run.
Some employees on my team complained of bandwidth issues.
It allows for a remote workforce that remains secure.
User Interface is very easy to use and reposnive. Tool is very secure and robust. It is available on mobile abd desktop. Easy to access and troubleshooting remote system very easily. Also customer support is incredible it resolves the issue on the spot. It is cheaper then others solutios available in the market.
Sometimes lags when internet bandwidth is poor. It doesn't support copy past text. Otherwise it is perfect solution for access system and troubleshooting.
Easy to install software on remote system very easily. It saves lots of time and money. It boostup productivity and reliability. Easy to access remote device at any time at any location using the mobile application also.
It's flexibility and security that lends itself to securing data and information.
None, I think this software has so much potential
Information security, having all access to my business documents being secured and saving to my staff personal computer.
V2's Technical Help and Product Help in by email or over Teams.
I would have liked to use my Business Microsoft 360 rather than switch to Microsoft's Enterprise System.
The ability for a User with a Mac to access my database and operate mathematilly on it; Definitely more productive
V2 is faster and more reliable than our previous hosting solution for QB Enterprise
I haven't found any downsides compared to other hosting services
V2 works great for hosting Quickbooks Enterprise
Almost immediate action by the tech support staff if doing covered hours.
Nothing to dislike at this time. The services offered are exactly what we need.
Cloud hosting for a Windows Application that we are using.
The onboard service and response time have been phenomenal. We have been pursuing a managed cloud server for a long time and have been through many trial periods. This was the first service that was truly helpful in getting started.
Not much to dislike at the moment. You do need to have some computer knowledge to be able to effectively set this up, but you don't have to be a computer scientist or anything.
Remote work for employees has been my biggest concern. I've been worried about the security behind letting employees work from home but this system has alleviated all of that. I'm also sick and tired of worrying about windows updates and backups. This service helps manage all of this for me.
Setup was very simple and straightforward. Billing and pricing was very transparent, which allowed me to deduce my overhead easily and explain to management. Representatives were very helpful in answering my questions and providing me guidance to their platform. They allow a lot of flexibility on their platform to tailor their services to my needs.
There were some trial and error involved in regards to setting up the VM (but that was prior to their initial call). Changing some of the VM settings require scrapping an entire VM and rebuilding it, but I found that out early which reduced my frustrations.
We have one particular user working remotely, and I am concerned with their access to the internet; stability and security-wise. V2 allowed me to spin up a VM which air gaps what the user might require and our network. I realized that the platform can be utilized for a lot of different purposes that I intend to explore.
When using competitors VMs They lacked a good portal and other management tools for my users. With V2 Cloud we have an all in cost regardless of CPU usage that provides me the management tools I need to quickly add/modify/troubleshoot users. They help me keep a budgeted VM well managed and after using many other providers I am glad to have found V2
There isn't too much I can find to dislike. The cost of additional memory seems a bit steep but if I compare it across the board at other providers its not far off. They atleast give you the option to fully customize your VM by tweaking things like memory instead of forcing me to much more expensive VM I won't use to capacity in order to get the extra memory I am seeking.
We are running a cloud-based Java warehousing application for internal use and to 3rd party customers as well. V2 has tools to help seperate and manage both internal and external clients.
Easy deployment, with reasonable rates. Was able to get up and running in under 1 hr.
Nothing to complain about. I havent come ACROSS ANY ISSUES YET
I run a mac household and software for business is PC based
Really fast virtual machine. Allows me to run iMacros - as a user of an M1 mac, having a virtual machine with windows software is great for running these systems. Also runs really fast and works easily in the background.
Pricing is expensive. The cheapest virtual machine is $40 a month, and if you want to delete and create a new one, its another $40. If you want faster service and better machine performance it runs at $70.
Was able to easily run windows only software, and managed to create all my iMacros workflows easily running them in the background without taking too much of my machine's CPU.
I love that v2cloud offers public and private ip addresses, this allows us to work around certain issues with flexibility
I wish I could pause payment on a computer I'm not using. I had a computer I didn't use for a few months and just decided to destroy it, but I would have kept it if I could just pause it, or pay an insignificant amount to keep it.
I can't get into much detail due to NDA, but we are able to solve microbrand security issues. With multiple computers, separate workers can be held accountable for positives and negatives.
I love being able to host our QuickBooks software on the remote desktop and be able to get access to it from anywhere and on any device. Our version of QB is not available online. I also love how seamlessly you can print or download from the remote desktop to the local printed/PC.
It does seem like it times out relatively fast. I wish you could set the sleep time so you didn't have to log in so often. Also, it has an issue with downloading and saving Excel files to the local PC. I am not sure what is up with that.
We love the full and complete access we have to our accounting software from anywhere and any computer. This has allowed us the ability to work remotely, share access between employees, it allows us to shift between computers easily. The benefit has been great.
V2 Cloud is a much cheaper solution compared to Amazon Server. They have all the most important features that we needed for a server, without having to make a complicated setup.
Until now we didn't have any bad experience with the server. Maybe they could have better prices for storage in the future. The prices are not bad, but because they do all the setup, it can be more expensive.
We are a construction company and we used Amazon Server before. For each user, we had to pay almost $600. Now, we pay a fraction of this price, with the same benefits. We are very satisfied
V2 is simple, easy to use, and is a rock-solid platform.
More memory is needed to support team environments.
Our team needed a rock-solid virtual desktop environment that was low cost and simple to use. V2 delivered.
It was effortless and straightforward to set up a virtual desktop, although I did have some issued setting up 2FA for a user this was quickly resolved by the excellent support team over at V2.
Although I had chosen a specific data center, the IP showed up as a different location than was expected. However, support resolved this with a quick message.
We wanted a secure service for remote workers to assess their tools from any device at any time.
