V2 Cloud Pros and Cons
- Data centers span four continents
- Only takes10 clicks to get your server running
- Has team cloud and individual cloud-based options
- API access in higher plans
- Slight lag is noticeable compared to normal desktop
- Sometimes logs users out without notice
Easy spin up/down of devices. Straightforward pricing. No issues with uptime. Good RDC latency.
Pricier than new competitors like Office 365 Windows Cloud. Stand-alone connection application doesn't have a lot of the RDC connection customization options.
Secure remote desktops via VPN for geographically distributed start up company.
The performance of my cloud PC from V2 Cloud provided noticeably better performance than a similarly priced version from Microsoft's Windows 365 Cloud PC offering. The ability to select a specific data centre is also beneficial - something that Microsoft's Windows 365 Cloud PC doesn't currently offer on its Business plans.
To access my cloud PC via the Microsoft Remote Desktop app on macOS involves first launching a V2 app, logging in, and clicking a button to launch MRD (which also requires login) so the process could be streamlined further.
The main problem this solves for me is the ability to run Windows 10 and x86 apps on a MacBook Pro with M1 chip without having to jump through licensing hoops and installing a virtual machine like Parallels Desktop. It has the added benefit of providing redundancy to my IT stack since the Cloud PC operates offsite.
The support is top-notch. Super easy to upgrade, add users, find your invoice, etc. Easy to add new VMs as well.
I do not have any dislikes at this time.
When our Customers would like to be on the cloud and still use our Enterprise version of the software, this is a great choice for us. We are not responsible for the hardware or server upgrades. It is very affordable and V2 works great with us to provide for our clients.
Easy to work on, and weak network does not affect severely.
Unable to use Microsoft office on remote computer.
Managing my remote businesses is easier, I can check daily activities without having to travel.
Connection speed and remote software options
Its a bit expensive and does not have GPU
I can keep some processing in the background on a cloud machine while I work on my main computer
Easy interface, knowledgeable support, and automated snapshots all make for a excellent hosted solution.
I haven't found any issues as of yet. Works as I had hoped.
Moving my clients to a cloud solution has never been easier.
Ease of access, using the service anywhere.
Invoices must be autopaid. Scary to have money on the line like that.
We are using this service to run infrastructure for our smaller clients who cannot currently afford a full fledged server solution.
We wanted a simple product to help with our virtual server needs. This was a life saver and has been really useful.
The shortcuts that work on desktop, such as Alt-tab etc. do not work, maybe they do but we have not been able to use it. But no major issues
Virtual computer and server
It has great features which is vital for storage and vitalization.
It can be at times hard to navigate throughout this software.
Changing to a new software vendor
Ability to log on from anywhere on any computer
Difficulty in downloading photos without delay
Ability to log on remotely from any computer or phone
Simple and easy administration, fast deployment of cloud desktop
Integration with Mac, pricing is a bit expensive but for certain use cases can be beneficial
desktop as a service for contractors
I like that it's fast and have never had downtime. Pricing is reasonable and customer support very reponsive.
After more than a year of use, I haven't encountered any downsides.
I use it as a remote desktop, as a backup to my laptop use when traveling or on the go. I don't have to go through all the verifications when logging in from a new locations.
V2 Cloud is mainly for small companies, it can be easily managed, it has a very stable and fast support, it allows me to install any software without altering the computer system.
I have no complaints at this time, it has served me for what I have required without any problems, I have been able to share data with other users and also access them without complications.
I have been able to provide our users with the management of some softwares from anywhere and from any browser. In addition, it provides confidence to our clients due to the quality of work that V2 cloud allows us to do.
Consistently available, reliable, and superior support when needed.
No Linux desktop is available at this time, or I am unaware of it.
Availability of my own desktop from wherever I can open a browser.
Pricing and ease of use seems better than the competitors. I have not really tried their regular online or phone support yet. It may be OK but please make sure it is not provided by their "Cybersecurity team".
They need to speak with my customers so in the future they can try to cut me out. They said they can't confirm I am who I claim to be but I sent them copy of my current United States passport and front and back picture of the credit card they used to sign me up. I could have sent them also current California drivers licence but Emmanuel Amuzie was being very rude.
I am trying to solve Cloud based windows hosting for my customers but their "Cybersecurity team" will not let me. I have not realized any benefits from V2 Cloud WorkSpaces. Only aggravation. Plus they should not be using the word WorkSpaces for their product and this name is trade marked with another company.
