Ease of use and simple, clean interface. Reliability is good. Price is on the mark for what I need. I've tried a lot of hosting solutions in the past and Wistia is definitely the best I've seen.
When I need to share media for review outside my immediate team (with folks who don't have Wistia accounts), it's generally been problematic and we've had to use dropbox or another platform.
Safe, secure hosting of content in a reliable way. It also allows me to share content with my team securely and track viewing stats / usage stats, which is very useful.
Ease of use and integrations are nice. Making edits has been easy as well (video SEO does not appear to have been a priority before my arrival).
Organization of files seems a bit scattered and allows for too much duplication.
Clean video player and interface for our website and landing pages, easily customizable to our needs.
Reasonably priced, good customer support and upgrade from hosting on Youtube or Vimeo. Also like the reporting on views.
Pretty satisfied, so not much comes to mind that I dislike.
We need a professional way to host video content (ie not YouTube) and we want to track views (lenth, location, etc.)
Converts my training videos fast! It is a great way for me to upload and share the recordings back with customers.
Nothing, the tool seems to be a great solution and offers nice customization.
Providing Recordings of Trainings for customers to view.
It is really easy to upload video content onto the platform and then get embed codes to display the videos on our other sites.
The organization of the files could be cleaned up a bit. It would also be nice to have a "tile" display of the videos in each folder.
We host all kinds of videos that are used with our customers, as well as other videos used internally for training. Storing the videos in one place makes it easy to have a source of truth when videos are updated or changed.
Flexibility to gate/add custom CTA's. I also love their blog and emails. They have great tips for not just video, but marketing in general.
The analytics are not as robust as I would like, and it is difficult to strip out IP's of our full team (we have people that work remotely and their IP address sometimes changes or is not stripped out from analytics.)
We want insights about who is viewing our product videos and videos from our sales team. Wistia easily helps us organize all of our videos by project, make updates, and get analytics. They are easy to embed on landing pages and in emails and look great.
I love the ease of use of the product. The fact that the players are mobile friendly is big for us. Pricing fits right in line with our budget. Truly a fully featured solution for hosted videos.
I would like to see better integration or more integrations with the product, specifically with Act-On Marketing.
Our marketing incorporates a ton of videos. Having a solution like this to generate leads is fantastic.
The features are very helpful, and the addition of editing capabilities is great. Also, the ability to see how many times my lectures are viewed allows me to keep stats. The user experience is pleasant as well.
Only thing I can think of is the editing is a little clunky. When editing out at the beginning and end, sometimes I have to do it twice because the first time doesn't take.
Where to host my lectures and giving me the ability to see the number of views. Editing also is a nice plus.
Easy to use and their support chat is very helpful and quick to respond.
Integration with Marketo could be more robust. Hard to track which video was watched.
A place to host all video.
Some of the positives of using Wistia for hosting include: - Shareable video links that don't advertise other videos - Allows good embedding options and customisation
A couple of the downsides to using Wistia include: - some of the custom options for colours, etc, could be improved to suit the brands we work with. - analytics on basic plan is very limited
Wistia gives us a stable video hosting solution with the ability to embed and link to videos without advertising or being shown content from other video creators.
The Marketing team is really happy with it using the video editor for corporate and external purposes.
I don't know what to say about this, basically is doing the right direction
The quality of our videos were getting better, the mkt team use them for corporate and external use and they can save and share with the other users.
Hosting everything in one place and adding thumbnails
artefacts on upload including line down side of image
Keeping all footage together
Wistia is excellent to use when you need to collect basic analytics on content. It's also really intuitive to customize and looks professional for end users.
For internal use cases, capturing emails is painful
Embedding videos into g drive doesn't give us analytics like views or time spent viewing. Wistia allows us to capture that.
Administration is easy and straightforward
More reporting capabilities would be nice
A flexible video/file hosting platform
The overall service and support from Wistia has been very good. I've had their service for over five years and it's one of my primary tools for video hosting. I would highly recommend.
There has been some recent changes that appear to hide some tools maybe a more premium price point. For example, I'm not able to change the color of my play logo anymore.
Video hosting on my website. Video education. Video sales. Best practices on how to help our clients build a video library. They also now offer podcasting support. While I have not used that feature, it's good to know that I could integrate that into my membership.
The ability to easily find the necessary asset. The ability to upload a new version of the file without losing any stats (unlike YouTube, for example). We research the analytics a lot. It's good that the information presented is easy to comprehend. We also love the ability to create chapters. This gives our customers the ability to jump directly to the desired part of the video
Sometimes the processing of a new video takes longer than anticipated. There are minor glitches in the settings. We always upload our thumbnails for the videos. I can recall at least 5 cases when the thumbnail wasn't uploading and I kept getting an error. The concepts of projects and grouping aren't very intuitive honestly speaking. It took some time to understand how to move items between the projects.
We're hosting our webinar recordings and tutorial videos there grouped by category. We can also easily categorize our tutorials and get the statistics to evaluate the impact of different educational assets.
That it is easy to use, easier to customize than hosting your videos on Youtube
Not much to dislike! It's easy to set up and make changes to your videos.
To customize the videos we have hosted on our website
Customisation in the same platform and almost instantaneous closed captioning
Non that I can see so far. Perhaps this survey with minimum words required ;)
Funnel all videos to a public platform like Youtube. Feels more secure and appropriate for my company
Wistia is a handy place to store and share the library of videos that multiple team members work with.
When a coworker sends me a link to download a certain video, I will try to log in after following the link, but after logging in, it takes me to the main library page instead of to the same video. It makes it difficult to find that particular video again, so I have to remember to log in first, then go back to the link sent to me from a coworker before I can download it.
Wistia makes it easy to integrate videos into our marketing efforts.
The ability to have a location to host videos without having to keep them in a folder.
I don't really have anything that I dislike while using this site.
The problem of usually hosting files on local computers and sending those via email. With hosting the videos on Wistia I can just send a link to the video instead.
