1Password does a great job of syncing across devices. The UX is very similar and familiar regardless of the platform being used, which makes it easy to switch between them. The permissions and sharing features are also very well designed and have covered all of my use cases so far. I also like the way letters, numbers, and symbols are formatted for easy reading.

The things I dislike are all done in the name of security. It's probably not fair to complain about them, but for the purposes of full disclosure: you are automatically logged out too quickly and you have to use a special key in addition to your username and password. These things make the product more secure, but are a noticeable interruption to my workflow. I also do not like the browser plugin because it requires having the native app install as well. At that point it makes more sense to just use the native app.

Improved data security by not sharing passwords in Google Docs. Password management now requires much less overhead, while passwords are still easily accessible by the people who need them. Important passwords are also still accessible after an employee leaves.

Simple to use, has the best user experience and UI on Mac and iOS.

The Windows app needs some work, it has some bugs that make the app seem like an afterthought.

Remembering passwords across multiple websites, and I have two vaults-- one for work and one personal.

I like how easy it is to access and fill passwords. The combination of native app and browser extension makes it simple to find my logins with a keyboard shortcut or right-click. I also like that I can backup my passwords to third-party cloud storage, and keep them synced over multiple devices without having to trust 1password to store the data itself.

Other password managers allow you to automatically fill logins, 1password doesn't seem to have this capability. The keyboard shortcut/right click isn't hard by any means, but I do appreciate the auto-fill feature in similar apps.

I can keep my accounts secure by using unique, complex passwords without having to memorize them.

1Password has made it possible to use multiple secure passwords for different accounts and be confident that you’ll remember the password when you need it.

The ability to store secure files and other features requires a premium account. Which is only a minor disadvantage considering the application is well worth it.

Easier accountability of passwords. The ability to store passwords makes working with multiple accounts more inherently efficient.

1password is great for keeping all passwords in one secure place. Also a great random password generator, and place to keep other information such as passport numbers etc.

Sometime i get annoyed having to login everytime I use it but I know that's for my protection.

All of my passwords are consolidated within a single app, which is convenient when you have multiple sites that require a login.

The app isn't the most intuitive with keeping your sites and passwords updated. Most of the time you'll need to update information on your own, manually.

With 1password you can share the passwords with family members and friends. 1password is $50.00 and can be used across 6 computers. Ideal for family in such situations. Parents can lock the password from their children editing the password or accidentally deleting the passwords. Its not just passwords, you can save financial documents or even credit card info as its very secure yet user friendly application.

Its not free unlike other applications and has a cost associated to it. It has single point of failure. if your master password is lost, you might pretty much lose everything. However that the case for every application. It would be if it has 2 factor authentication which sends a text message to mobile or to an email. I noticed issues with password sync across devices.

Since my family is macintosh or apple friendly, this application plays an important role. We can share it with the kids and still not let them speak out passwords. Can have software against multiple devices such as ipad, iphone, laptops and much more. I can even save a 20 character long password and still dont have to worry about losing the password.

This program helps you to secure passwords to multiple websites. But that is not all that it does! The best part is that it keeps track of any data you enter into the computer. Including bank account information and credit cards. All this information is kept secure and at your fingertips!

This program is pretty complex. It can do a lot of different things and therefore it does take a while to figure out how to navigate everything and the extra feature it has.

This program is so all-encompassing that it is great for businesses. With the magnitude of information that most companies process, the ability to have this information at your fingertips is a great advantage.

The clear GUI works very well. Multiple vaults is also great.

The price is a bit steep. Setting up a central password storage is a bit difficult if you don't want to use 1Password for teams.

We needed a central password store and we got that with 1Password

I like that I can securely store my passwords in one place and autofill passwords from the app using face ID for other software

I dislike that the autofill function is so sensitive to URL. If I manually add a password to 1password but do not input the full website URL, sometimes the password is not recognized when I tell the app to autofill from 1password. Instead, I have to search for the password within the 1password app. It would also be nice if when I make a new account password I could automatically save it to 1password like you can with your Keychain

Hard to safely share a password securely with outside people. They need to install a 1password which is a pain when you need it only to get a password.

It makes it easy to manage your collaborator passwords without creating a document that gets overshared between team members.

1Password can be used to store any information securely.

The interface is not just ugly, it's cumbersome to use.

The problem I'm solving is the secure storage of logins and passwords. The benefit is that it's easy to create secure passwords and not have to memorize them.

Just having a consolidated and secure place for my passwords is invaluable.

Chrome's password manager has just made it so much more convenient to use their built-in browser system. Also, the handling of "logins" when creating new accounts is confusing.

Before I was using the Chrome extension, it helped me secure unique passwords for all my account.

that is an online solution and syncs automatically.

for entries you don't have that many fields , eg custom fields . using keepass on a personal level i found that is imposibile to move from it to 1Password as that transition results in losing lots of information

Here are my gleanings: 1. This works better if you open up the 1Password site, log in and then select the website you want from the list rather than going directly to the desired site and choosing to let 1Password fill in details. You can go that way but if you logout/close your browser, then you have to log in with 1Password again. I was doing that multiple times a day and it didn’t seem very efficient. 2. As Kevin mentioned, I found where to change the AutoLock in my account settings and adjusted the time to stay “unlocked”. Y You must keep that browser or a website open or it will lock again. 3. I was glad to see that when I needed to change either a username or password, that 1Password made the updates and saved the new one. I was a little concerned about that, as some of our sites require routine PW changes. 4. This weekend I moved a few of my saved credentials to the GTO shared vault. I had to look up instructions, as it wasn’t quite “intuitive” to me. Glad I did, as that informed me that if I simply “copied” these to the shared vault, any changes made to credentials in one do NOT sync in both places. So as recommended, I MOVED them rather than COPIED them. I can still access when logged into my private vault as they are shared. 5. I have not yet redeemed my personal “family” vault…still on the “to-do” list. 😊 6. For work I use two different browsers for different sites…just a preference I’ve had. I saw that 1Password “presents itself” slightly differently in each of these: CHROME & MICROSOFT EDGE even though I set up the extension as recommended.

The software allowed me to use a variety of different passwords without me actually having to memorize each and every one.

Currently, I have yet to find something that I have an issue with.

The benefit that this adds is that it makes the ecosystem more secure. Without having the user actually need to remember all the passwords and their associations to which websites, it makes life easier.

I have a lot of passwords and some of them need to be changed periodically, love saving them in 1password!

It is a work horse solution that has been around for years and has proven to be effective enough to get by with managing website passwords.

On occasion the helper application will not start. It has had upgrade issues where it has taken several attempts to successfully upgrade the software. Sometimes it is unable to save account info like email address when saving login info for a site. There is no easy way to manually add sites.

Effectively managing passwords to important websites without having to think about it much. It also has served as an adequate password generator.
