We've been using Bamboo HR since 2017 and honestly it has been amazing! It is to user friendly and they keep bringing out new features! Would honestly recommend it!
We didn't use it to track time and attendance because of the extra cost for my company.
We generally use BambooHR for primarily Talent Management tracking. All of our clinic managers LOVE that Bamboo is easy to use and they can log on and review candidates right from the "hiring" tab and make notes and email them all from the same place. Also the onboarding is amazing and you can customize it per province or job title.
I love the user-friendliness of the software. The use is very intuitive and pleasant to the eyes, this makes for wide adoption of the solution and allows managers from across the company to collaborate properly.
We are a Canadian company; unfortunately, payroll cannot be processed directly through the same software. This causes a few integration challenges. Another element would be the notes in the employees file is one big box, a few smaller areas with we nice.
All the areas mentionned above are centralized in one app which is amazing. Also the phone app is great which makes for some work being done on the go a huge asset.

We switched to BambooHR a few years ago from a very manual system, and it has significantly improved my life as an HR professional! Managers and team members love using it, I can provide reports and insights when I need them, and of all the different systems I looked into, BambooHR is easily the most user-friendly interface.
The only real down-side we've found with BambooHR is that it's very much an American company. We are based in New Zealand, and there are some functions that don't work as well for our unique context. However I've found that the benefits outweigh these disadvantages!
Collecting all data in one place, from initial application through to termination and everything in between, has been extremely helpful. We also now have better visibility into a number of HR areas.
I love how easy it is to navigate between the tabs and employees. It is clearly set out so you have all the relevant details to hand immediately.
The holidays are calculated in hours, not days, which is confusing. Unless I am unaware that this set up can be changed...
Complies all employees date in one easily accessible platform
Bamboo is thorough and easy to use for HR, managers, and employees. It allows HR to keep accurate records of all employee data plus it gives the employee access to certain records that HR wishes to be viewable for them. The time off portion is also very helpful.
We use another timekeeping system that is supposed to tie together with BambooHR and it does; however, when I have any issues, neither side is able to help me even though they integrate. I have to rely on our web developer to fix any issues.
The performance management portion saves us tons of paperwork and time. It's very convenient compared to what we did in the past. We also love the applicant tracking system portion. We track candidates' progress and use it to send emails and offer letters so another HR employee can come in and pick up where the other left off if needed.
The reports are very helpful. Nothing every slips through the cracks

We are a relatively small organization with 30-35 staff. Prior to introducing Bamboo, it was laborious to manage HR files and processes. Bamboo has simplified and standardized our approach to HR management. The ability to document within Bamboo files has been invaluable.
There was a relatively steep learning curve for management and staff. I'm not sure we are using all the features to their greatest potential. We have considered using the performance module for our annual reviews this year and there are some limitations that make the process more challenging for us.
Simplified and streamlined documentation. Time off tracking is simple and helpful. We used to track vacations on paper/excel. This has saved countless hours. We also use clock in/clock out features which helps us gauge (at a glance) who may be working too many hours and needing support.
Easy to use but also lots of options to configure to suit your needs. Also lots of add on options if you want to use it to manage performance reviews, time tracking, employee satisfaction surveys etc. Very helpful reporting function.
You need assistance to configure certain things and it can take a while to learn how to do things - a lot of manual set up involved.

The best thing about it is how easy to learn and use it is. We started using this and within a few days, without any additional training, my entire team was able to make full use of it. It has excellent applicant tracking and management capabilities. I also like the reporting system. Lastly, a shout out to their customer service team. They offer excellent support and were always helpful whenever we contacted them.
Payroll could definitely use more features. I feel like if you are a growing company, you might want to invest in a dedicated payroll software rather than use whats inbuilt.
We are using this as our ATS/HRMS system. We also used this for our Payroll for a brief period of time but since then we have started using a different software for our payroll requirements.
Elimination of paper tracking of things and having to create/use spreadsheets to track things.
I cannot think of anything in particular that I dislike.
We were able to eliminate using paper timesheets for approximately 100 employees and I can get all time info from one single report to process payroll. Also eliminated paper requests for PTO for all staff and tracking when/who was going to be off.
Time saving website that helps organize all HR aspects for my company. Removes the stress of managing and maintaining all employee's time off and amount used.
I would say the mobile app could use some more work to get close to the ability you have when using the website.

I really like how the request tool works to manage PTO, Sick, and other types of leave. The shared calendar view allows everyone to see who is in and who is out quickly.
I do think that BambooHR could improve by allowing each user to customize the alerts you get for who's out as we all have different preferences for our own employees. Also allowing you to select other employees that you work with would be helpful.
Connecting everyone together on schedules. I like how you can use the iCal feed to integrate the feed directly into your work calendar as this helps with planning meetings.

Easily one of the best HRIS systems out there. For small and medium businesses, it offers a complete package of capabilities with so much thought and effort behind each little feature. Also, the fact that it improves each month is impressive.
Not much. If there are limitations in the software, they have a development team that is constantly listening to feedback and improving/adding new features. So if there are glaring issues or things that it cannot do, they usually will get it patched or enhanced. The only thing I don't love about it at the moment is for performance feedback to collect anonymous replies. It's literally the only thing preventing my business from adopting the feature, as it's something very important to leadership.

As an IT Employee, I love this, as it shows every employee of our company, their role, their joining date, their work anniversaries, their birthdays and who joined recently in our organisation.
Nothing to dislike about this app as of now, everything can be found at a place, what we want more than this as an employee.
Self-assessment of our work is the best part. And it contains all the files in a place, starting from the Holidays list to the policies of the company, our benefits, our payroll everything.

Not very comprehensive, there are a lot of things that could add value to the service. Things like automated communications past the first few weeks, tailored journeys for new hires, etc...
