Breezy HR Expert Review

Breezy HR gives unlimited users, unlimited candidates and a branded career site away free — and restricts the free plan to one active job opening. Open a second role and the price goes from $0 to $157 a month. There is nothing in between. But that $157 then covers unlimited positions, so a company hiring twenty roles pays exactly what a company hiring two pays. It is an unusually clean model in a category that normally bills per recruiter.

  • What it is: An applicant tracking system with a branded career site, 50-plus job board distribution, and hiring automation.
  • Best for: Companies hiring several roles at once who want to add every hiring manager at no extra cost.
  • Pricing: Bootstrap free; Startup $157, Growth $273, Business $439 per month on annual billing. Verified July 2026.
  • The honest catch: The free plan allows one active pool or position.

What Is Breezy HR?

Breezy HR is an applicant tracking system covering the full hiring pipeline — a branded careers site, distribution to 50-plus job boards, customisable recruiting pipelines, candidate questionnaires and automations, interview guides, scorecards, employee referrals and eSignatures.

Breezy HR’s pricing page on annual billing, showing Bootstrap free, Startup at $157, Growth at $273 and Business at $439 per month, with a Custom Pro tier.

The commercial model is the interesting part. Users are unlimited on every plan, including the free one, as are candidates. In an ATS market where per-recruiter seats are the norm, that means hiring managers, interviewers and executives can all be given access without a per-head conversation.

Five tiers: Bootstrap (free forever), Startup, Growth, Business and Custom Pro (quoted).

How Breezy HR Works

  • Unlimited users on every plan, free tier included.
  • Unlimited candidates on every plan.
  • The free plan allows one active pool or position.
  • All paid plans allow unlimited positions.
  • Annual billing gives two months free — about 17%.
  • Feature tier, not volume, is what you pay for.

Breezy HR Pricing

Captured from Breezy HR’s pricing page in July 2026 in US dollars, reading both billing states.

Plan Annual (per mo) Monthly Saving Positions Users
Bootstrap Free Free 1 active Unlimited
Startup $157 $189 16.9% Unlimited Unlimited
Growth $273 $329 17.0% Unlimited Unlimited
Business $439 $529 17.0% Unlimited Unlimited
Custom Pro Quoted Unlimited Unlimited

What each tier adds: Startup — unlimited positions, background screening integrations, candidate automations and questionnaires, customisable pipelines · Growth — automated reference checking, interview guides, scorecards, employee referrals, eSignatures · Business — multi-path advanced questionnaires, assessment integrations

Bar chart of Breezy HR effective cost per open position on the Startup plan: free for one position, then $78.50 at two, $31.40 at five, $15.70 at ten and $7.85 at twenty.

What actually decides your plan:

  • The only thing the free plan really restricts is concurrency. Bootstrap gives unlimited users, unlimited candidates, a branded career site and distribution to 50-plus job boards — and caps you at “one active job opening or candidate pool at a time (others can be closed or archived)”. For a small company hiring sequentially, that is a genuinely complete ATS at no cost.
  • The second opening costs $157. There is no intermediate tier, so the step from one concurrent role to two is the full jump from free to Startup. A company hiring two roles pays $78.50 per position; one hiring twenty pays $7.85. The model rewards hiring volume steeply.
  • You are buying features, not capacity. Positions, candidates and users are unlimited on every paid plan, so Growth and Business exist purely for capability — reference checking, scorecards, referrals and eSignatures at Growth; multi-path questionnaires and assessment integrations at Business.
  • Unlimited users is the quiet advantage. Most competitors meter recruiter seats, which discourages involving hiring managers and interviewers. Here you can put the entire interview panel in the system at no marginal cost, which is exactly the behaviour a good hiring process needs.
  • “Two months free” checks out. Startup falls from $189 to $157 (16.9%), Growth from $329 to $273 (17.0%) and Business from $529 to $439 (17.0%). Two months out of twelve is 16.67%, so all three round slightly in the customer’s favour.
  • The tier ladder is steep in absolute terms. $157 to $273 is a 74% increase, and $273 to $439 a further 61%. For a small company those are large steps, so establish which specific features you need rather than defaulting upward.

Who Should Use Breezy HR

  • Companies hiring several roles concurrently. The clearest case — the flat fee gets cheaper per position the more you hire.
  • Teams wanting hiring managers involved. Unlimited users at no extra cost, on every plan.
  • Small companies hiring one role at a time. Bootstrap is a complete free ATS for sequential hiring.
  • Businesses needing structured interviews. Guides, scorecards and reference checking at Growth.

It fits poorly for companies hiring exactly two roles occasionally, where $157 buys little more than concurrency; for buyers wanting a gentle upgrade path, since the steps are large; and for organisations needing assessment integrations on a budget, which require Business.

Honest Pros and Cons

Strengths

  • Unlimited users on every plan, including free.
  • Unlimited candidates at every tier.
  • A genuinely complete free ATS for one role at a time.
  • Unlimited positions on all paid plans — volume costs nothing extra.
  • The two-months-free claim is accurate, at about 17%.
  • 50-plus job board distribution and a branded career site, free.

Limitations

  • One active position on the free plan.
  • A $0 to $157 cliff at the second concurrent opening.
  • Startup to Growth is a 74% increase.
  • eSignatures and scorecards require Growth.
  • Assessment integrations require Business at $439.
  • No intermediate tier between free and $157.

Breezy HR Alternatives and How It Compares

  • Recruitee is the closest collaborative competitor, quote-only with a five-post entry limit.
  • Greenhouse is the structured-hiring specialist for larger, process-driven teams.
  • Workable publishes its pricing and suits small to mid-sized companies.
  • Lever combines ATS and candidate CRM for mid-market hiring.
  • JazzHR targets small businesses at a similar price point.
  • BambooHR and Personio cover the whole HR function with recruiting as one component.

The Verdict

Breezy HR has the best-shaped pricing in this category, and the reason is what it refuses to meter. Users are unlimited on every plan, including the free one, as are candidates. Applicant tracking systems overwhelmingly charge per recruiter seat, which quietly discourages the thing that makes hiring work — getting hiring managers, interviewers and panel members into the system. Breezy removes that friction entirely, and it does so at $0 as readily as at $439.

The free tier is correspondingly serious. Bootstrap gives a branded career site, distribution to 50-plus job boards, unlimited candidates and unlimited users, restricted only to “one active job opening or candidate pool at a time”. A small company hiring sequentially can run its entire recruiting function on that indefinitely. The catch is concurrency: the moment you need two roles open at once, the price goes from $0 to $157 a month, with nothing in between. That is a real cliff, and it is the single decision this pricing page asks you to make.

Past it, the economics improve fast. Every paid plan allows unlimited positions, so a company running twenty openings pays the same $157 as one running two — $7.85 per position against $78.50. Growth and Business are bought for capability rather than capacity: reference checking, interview guides, scorecards, referrals and eSignatures at $273; multi-path questionnaires and assessment integrations at $439. Those steps are steep — 74% and then 61% — so identify the specific feature you need rather than climbing by default. Credit on the billing detail: “annual pricing includes 2 months free” is accurate, working out at 16.9% to 17.0% across all three tiers.

FAQ

How much does Breezy HR cost?

Captured in July 2026 in US dollars. On annual billing: Bootstrap is free, Startup $157 per month, Growth $273 and Business $439, with Custom Pro quoted. On monthly billing those become $189, $329 and $529. Every plan, including the free one, includes unlimited users and unlimited candidates, and all paid plans include unlimited job positions.

Is Breezy HR’s free plan actually usable?

Yes, for sequential hiring. Bootstrap includes unlimited users, unlimited candidates, a branded career site and distribution to more than 50 job boards. Its one restriction is concurrency — “maintain one active job opening or candidate pool at a time (others can be closed or archived)”. A company filling one role at a time can run its whole recruiting process on it at no cost.

Does Breezy HR charge per user?

No. Users are unlimited on every plan including Bootstrap, which is unusual in applicant tracking where per-recruiter seat pricing is standard. That means hiring managers, interviewers and panel members can all be given access without increasing the bill, whatever tier you are on.

How many job openings does Breezy HR allow?

One active pool or position on the free Bootstrap plan, and unlimited on every paid plan from Startup upward. Because positions are uncapped once you pay, the effective cost per open role falls sharply with hiring volume — $78.50 per position at two concurrent openings on Startup, and $7.85 at twenty.

Does Breezy HR’s annual billing really give two months free?

Yes, and marginally better. Startup falls from $189 to $157 a month, a 16.9% saving; Growth from $329 to $273 and Business from $529 to $439, both 17.0%. Two months out of twelve is 16.67%, so all three tiers round slightly in the customer’s favour against the advertised claim.

"Great ATS"
What do you like best about Breezy HR?

Breezy HR is a gem when it comes to Applicant Tracking Systems. I appreciate its user-friendly interface, making the hiring process a breeze. It's like they read our minds – the system not only meets our needs but keeps evolving based on user feedback. The commitment to continuous improvement is a game-changer, reflecting a genuine understanding of user experiences. It's a win-win for both the HR team and the candidates we're bringing on board.

What do you dislike about Breezy HR?

One tiny hiccup with Breezy HR is that changes hinge on user votes for developments. Sure, it's a bit like a democratic process, but our personal wishlist might not always align with the majority. Still, the silver lining is that things are in a constant state of evolution. It might not be a perfect match every time, but hey, at least they're on the ball and making strides

What problems is Breezy HR solving and how is that benefiting you?

Breezy HR is a lifesaver for us in the HR game. One key challenge it tackles is helping us keep tabs on every candidate navigating through our interview process. The system ensures that no one slips through the cracks, providing a streamlined approach to managing candidates from application to hire. This not only saves us from potential organizational chaos but also elevates the candidate experience. It's like having a personal assistant for every recruiter, making sure we're on top of our game

What do you dislike about Breezy HR?

I wish that the "read email" option showed me when they read it.

What problems is Breezy HR solving and how is that benefiting you?

Breezy helps us not have to sift through resumes and reach out to each applicant 1 by 1. It is very helpful that it emails the applicants for us as soon as they apply. It is also helpful that I can create different stages to organize the candidates.

"A Game-Changer!"
What do you like best about Breezy HR?

I've had the opportunity to implement and use Breezy at two companies. It's my go-to ATS. Breezy's interface is intuitive and user-friendly. Navigating through the system is a breeze (pun intended!), and I could easily set up and customize my hiring workflows, templates, etc. Breezy is a collaborative hiring functionality, so hiring managers and interviewers can easily navigate the platform. Breezy also has a fair and sensible pricing model. You won't find yourself stuck with an ATS that charges inflated prices as your use of the platform increases. It's also important to highlight Breezy's Customer Support team. The support team is responsive, knowledgeable, and timely. They're so quick to answer my questions.

What do you dislike about Breezy HR?

Nothing comes to mind. Breezy has successfully grown and been used with each company I've worked for.

What problems is Breezy HR solving and how is that benefiting you?

The platform centralizes all candidate information, making tracking their progress through each stage of the hiring pipeline easy. It will become your source of truth - from task management to scheduling. Breezy does everything you need.

What do you like best about Breezy HR?

This is the 2nd company I have worked at and introduced to Breezy - I love the simplicity of the platform, the ability to launch an ATS and careers page in a very short time span and the amazing support I have had whenever we have had questions or queries.

What do you dislike about Breezy HR?

Nothing springs to mind - anything I have wanted to do, I have been able to

What problems is Breezy HR solving and how is that benefiting you?

Second time I have introduced Breezy to a company I have joined; both scenarios, I have been hired to set up a TA function to cope with high volume across multiple locations and Breezy has been essential to making that happen. The platform offers me the chance to launch a careers page and supporting ATS in a very short space of time - the platform itself is easy to use and intuitive, so has been easy to embed in the team. Ultimately, it has helped us shift away from relying on paper-based CVs so we can track and monitor progress, its allowed us to improve the candidate experience by ensuring candidates recieve notifications and communications and the automated functionality has reduced time to hire and negated the need for additional team members.
