We've been using Zoho People, Zoho Invoice and Zoho Recruit since about 2016. The Zoho suite works quite well, especially the interface between these components. I like the flexibility of being able to add elements and fields. There is quite detailed security available (role-based) which is helpful.
Some of the role based security is a bit complex and doesn't always behave in the way that I would expect. The "employee" view in "organization" doesn't always show all of the fields that I select, which is annoying but not a show-stopper. Overall, the software is very good.
We use Zoho People as our staff database. It helps us to keep stuff organised. We keep our records in there and it works well. We also use it for our performance management which works quite well too.
Zoho People helps keep track of tasks, events, and schedules. It also acts like a cloud storage platform where you can upload your documents for easy access. The UI is excellent - and works fantastically with Zoho Suite.
Zoho People requires a steady internet connection to function correctly- it is a fantastic software that helps you keep track of your schedules. I have no complaints - excellent software.
Zoho People lets me take care of everyone's schedule and tasks. I can easily communicate policies and other important information to my team without hassle. The information is quite organized and it has increased the level of transparency in the organization.
I love the app available on my smartphone that allows checking-in, holiday requests and more. It's quick to load and very user friendly
I wish there was an addition to view accumulated annual leave and a place to view allowances or memos for particular aspects that staff can access. Also would love an easier method of communication internally as the chat feels a little clunky.
Solving annual leave, and attendance of staff
I am using Zoho people as a user. I can surely say that it is one of the finest employee portal. Mainly using it for attendance, leave tracking, holiday track, daily check-in, check out. i also got the notification of my colleagues birthday. Zoho people is accessible from mobile which is also helpful when you are not near to system
The calculative hours of check-ins within the day are quite tough to understand the number of hours in a day.

Very easy to use app. Beautiful design and look. Dashboard has all necessary links in the right place. I like the clock in and clock out feature. Leave application and approval process is made relatively easy compared to other products. Zoho people helps HR to communicate latest updates to staff in real time.
There is nothing I dislike in using zoho people app.

Zoho people have a very exhaustive list of features like attendance management, leave management, tasks management. There UI is simple and easy to understand.
Payroll being not part of Zoho people, and for payroll, you have to use their Zoho payroll tool. Managing compilance is difficult in zoho people.
We are using Zoho people to manage various aspects of employee management, from onboarding an employee to their exit. Zoho people helps to automate all the HR process like sending reminder for attendance approval.

The pricing structure works for our small business. In fact, with the Zoho People we are currently using the Free version. I am the only one in our small business that needs access to the HR so it worked out well. For years, I've managed people and HR concerns with Google Drive and Google Sheets. Not the most technical method of doing so, but it worked and was accessible from everywhere I go. I work from home but also from many other locations with my laptop and I loved that access. A former coworker recommended we check out Zoho products, and Zoho People was my first Zoho product. I like that I can separate my full-time workers from my part-time workers and these two from my contractors. The time in/out function is very helpful, and I especially like the remote/phone app for this feature. Employees can clock in from the field when on service calls.
The terminology was a little hard to understand at first. It's more of a converted English, which is understandable as the product is made in a country outside of the USA. There are a good bit of items that I am still learning to use, but I realize there is a lot of customization offered that I just haven't figured out. I wish there were a payroll integration with the product, that would make my HR journey with zoho complete.
Keeping track of employees in a small business. I've used spreadsheets for years but we simply could not afford the big picture HR programs out there, and frankly they were overkill for our five employees. Zoho People is affordable and customizable to use the functions I want.

Trying to do hr as a small business owner can be confusing. With zoho people all myvhr is in one place. Much better than spread sheets. Its secure. Mobile and very accessible.

The stability and features of the mobile app and the lack of homogeneous development from the rest of the Zoho platform. We currently have deployed about 12 apps from zoho and each one has it's preferences in different places with different icons and words. In general it's hard to get use to one and then track back were each one of the customization menus are. Our core zoho product is zoho projects, and that one is well used by everyone at the company, when users switch to a different app from the zoho ecosystem that are less used to use then they struggle to find the options. I would suggest to zoho, as have already done in the past, to take ALL of their apps and have a team of interface + usability experts to make look clean, simple and homogeneous. That will take Zoho to a complete different level.

I like the simple accessibility of zoho people. The integration of zoho payroll with it makes it more useful. Simple login-logout process, KRA page, attendence details, etc are useful
Sometime in KRA section the 3 or 5 points rating system will not work instead of it NA is mentioned. In the the attendence regularisation everytime the date and time needs to be added, this is irritating.
Zoho people help me to check with my performance Monthly, quarterly & yearly. Its daily login oogout features are useful. Data Visual details of Calendar section are also useful and also can made better if possible.

It is helpful for the employees to easily declare Tax exemption investments and see the Tax reduction instantly. The Charter Account also can easily manage tax for employees
It's simple, basically, it's easy to use. - UI again is very simple and straightforward. - Leave application is also pretty straightforward. - It gets the job done.
Well yes, the product is simple. But there are a couple of suggestions. - If the UI is more advanced it will be more interesting to use. - The team hierarchy page is not amazing. - You find bugs here and there. - It's not a perfect product, and a lot of work can be done.
As a user for me zoho people is helpful with leave tracking and application. It's seamless and then it also helps to understand new people joining and other basic details of them.
Zoho people is used by all staff members for different purposes, but mainly for human resource management. It has a cool feeling to it, especially the app. It's simplistic and the dashboard contains all the needed links and buttons to direct me to what I need. I use Zoho People as a staff member for annual appraisal and managing my yearly Leave options. It is a very simple CRM tool that connects HR, Management, and staff together for sharing updates and managing performance.
The only complaint or dislike about Zoho people is that the app is not as complete as the web platform where more accesses and functions are available. The look looks good and simple but can offer more in relation to its web.
