How easy it is to find candidates that have strong backgrounds
You have to clear your cookies every day for it to work
A benefit would be finding quality candidates
I like the easy use tool features. When I was being trained on it I found it very easy to understand the features and what not.
I didn't like that this was able to be used by all departments because it was not customizable to specific needs
He were tracking projects with in the company and also houses a running list of our clients, SOWs, MNDAs, and company contacts
It's fairly easy to navigate, the tearsheet function makes it really easy to keep track of candidates with certain skillsets in certain areas, and the mass mail function makes sending out emails extremely fast and easy.
Candidate search function could be better - you don't always find people who match your search string.
We use it as a way to keep all of the recruiters on our team informed of what each other has been focusing on that day, what candidates they've contacted, and progress they're making on open reqs.
Nice user interface. Very simple and intuitive.
It has some bugs that I did not expect. A bit limited in it's functionality from what I thought but you can add 3rd party solutions.
Simplicity. Previous system was VERY complicated.
Integration with Gmail. Database searches. Customer support.
Would like to have more ways to slice and dice the database.
Business problem: finding candidates with specific skill-sets and background.
Iveused it for 10 years. I really like the functionality of it and the accessibility.
Nothing I can think of. Theyโve had a lot of updates that I really like.
It is pretty functional for what we need.
Bullhorn has smart Integration to pertinent software apps
Bullhorn has a higher cost than their competitors
It provides our recruiting department a centralized software to maximize standard processes.
It has most all of the features we need...candidate module, client contact module, client company module, job req module, etc. Has a number of helpful integrations...to background checks, references, tech screens, and job postings.
The systems does not "flow" the way we expect or would like. Seems kind of "clunky". Also, there is no mobile app (they do have a mobile version of their online portal...but we would have preferred an actual app).
Tracking all of our recruiting and sales activity.
Its has a great shortlist functionality we use a lot for talent pools. Also, it is not overly complex. East to use note and attachment functionality for each consultant record. Their new Sourcing Center is an improvement to database searching and display,
Adequate timely and on-the-mark support and help desk is a reoccurring issue.
We need access to shortlists or talent pools and we also need a system thats is straight forward as far as database searching for consultants.
easy of use, ability to customize for each users preference. Great for creating customizable reports for jobs/candidates/other factors in tracking performance.
speed is an issue, when multiple tabs or features are open or if too many users are logged in it can be slower then normal.
ability to create a pool of candidates that is accurate and easily accessible.
Bullhorn makes it really easy to parse in new candidates and client information, all without tedious external options. With the new features like planner and tasks, it's easy to stay-up-to-date with communication efforts and events.
The software is a little clunkly, and although it's a newer version, it seems a bit outdated. While the platform is web-based, it fails to run smoothly through a mobile platform, and often times, the loading times are a little sluggish.
Recording necessary information to ensure that all previous phone calls, notes, emails, are safely and accurately reported for future reference. It makes all future candidates much easier to screen. With the new laws set to take place, regarding salary history, Bullhorn makes it easier to negotiate for proper salary offers.
Being in sales I like the cloud call feature.
Allot of clicking to add notes and information.
Cold calling has become much easier using the cloud call tool.
Having it as a medium to organize my consultants
When it does not work properly. I often have issues locating people in bullhorn when I search by name
organization
Ability to customize for business needs is huge for any organization.
We recently signed up for a new tool (Canvas) and its difficult to get support. There are not enough people on the help desk that have the knowledge to help with the tool.
We have been able to streamline the posting process, limited the amount of internal papers we were previously using. The ability to have all your data in one place is huge.
Customizable and highly searchable. Keep discovering new ways to filter out what I'm looking for.
Not the most user friendly. Somewhat of a learning curve to get to know the searching capabilities. Not a lot of automation offered.
Works well with Agency recruiting firms where there are a high number of recruiters working in the same candidate pool. Lot of collaborative tools. Captures a lot of data for stat tracking.
Bullhorn is a powerful ATS with great Boolean searching capabilities and good workflow customization options.
Bullhorn has struggled to implement a reporting solution that is as good as the external products available. Automation projects done through Bullhorn Professional Services can expensive.
We use Bullhorn as our ATS to store all candidates and track candidate activity against jobs. It's both a candidate database and a recruiting workflow tool.
It keeps track of candidates, contacts, jobs, placements, etc. very well in the system so you know who has contacted whom throughout all the years at the company. It finds who the duplicate contacts are so you're never submitting or talking to someone without knowing if someone else in the company has already done so.
It doesn't link to your outlook or any other emails besides a bullhorn email, so it's confusing for our clients to receive emails from two different emails. When we submit candidates or set up meetings with our clients, it has to be done in the bullhorn email.
Keeping track of all records of who we've spoken with, what kinds of jobs we've had, how long it took for us to fill jobs, how many clients we have submitted to our contacts, which companies we are working with, and many more. It also solves the problem of duplicating contacts extremely well. It also helps each employee keep their pipeline extremely organize with the "tearsheet" tool.
I like the user interface. For the most part, you can use the search engine easily (despite the fact that you have to spell an applicant's name EXACTLY right) and the it is user friendly. The color scheme is definitely a plus as well because it is easier to read text as opposed to other sites.
I really dislike the fact that you need to be very precise with your wording when searching for applicants. Mistakes happen, and it should be able to pull up applicants who have similar spellings. I do understand the reasoning why but it would be nice to search and get results that are close to what you need. Also, there needs to be an easier way to edit interviews. I had to call customer service to figure out how to do it. There are too many steps that you would not intuitively know to find the edit button!
The primary problem I'm solving using Bullhorn is making sure that notes are always being filled out. For applicants with extensive or multiple notes, it would be nice to be able to sort through them better
Bullhorn is very easy to navigate and very user friendly for our new employees.
sometimes it is slow, and "thinks" for long periods of time. Integration with other softwares such as Talentwise took 3 times longer than expected.
We mainly use BH for data storage. It is great for recruiters and sales.
The user interface is the easiest CRM I have ever used. When you open the cloud software, everything is right where you think it should be. Adding, editing and removing information is very simple. The customer service is great to work with and they are usually very helpful with questions. Users/admins also have a lot of flexibility with the fields and mapping of the different modules you plan to use.
When we first on-boarded with BH, our client advocate wasn't very helpful with the assistance of getting up and running. I had a long lead time and needed extra time to work on getting everything up and running --- it would have been nice to have an advocate who understood that - unfortunately I felt like I was rushed through the implementation process and could have done a better job customizing the program before users got into using it. Slowly I am working on updating and modifying the layout. The reporting is very simple, sometimes that can be a disadvantage.
Organization and reporting. We were lacking the ability to track opportunities in anything other than Excel, which became very messy and not very user friendly. With BH I have the ability to manipulate the information and present it in a fashion where it is C-Level. Staying organized is easy with BH, because everything is at your fingertips.
