Compare Bullhorn ATS & CRM with other popular tools in the same category.
Bullhorn is consistently making strides - I like using a product that does not settle. I really like the simplicity of creating a Task List and creating Tear Sheets. I use the Task List as a daily calendar of activities to be completed. I can easily refer to the Tear Sheets when recruiting for specific positions. I also like that it is web based and can be accessed from my phone when I am out of the office. The dashboards are especially useful as well.
Bullhorn is a great tool. My only dislike is the way that recipients see an email when it is sent as a mass email. I believe it comes from a Bullhorn address, rather than own email.
Keeping activities for a variety of marketing and recruiting tasks. Staying organized is easy with Bullhorn. The benefit of greater organization is more efficiency. Also - managing the work flow of projects is especially beneficial. It solves the problem of team members knowing where where things are in the midst of a project. The dashboards also provide help to managing personal and team performance.
Bullhorn allows for the automation of several key recruiting processes. The tools within the ATS allow recruiters to maintain great relationships with their candidates easily and effectively.
The reporting tools are rigid. If you want any customization for your reporting it's going to cost you design and hosting fees on top of your Bullhorn licenses.
Candidate relationship management, sourcing, back-office support, timesheets are all managed through Bullhorn for our firm. The automation has allowed us to minimize the time.
You can easily incorporate Bullhorn into your every day work life for organization- whether it be to personally collect and sort candidates, or have a platform to track a job. You don't have to be very technical either, since it is easy to use. I personally like the tearsheet function for collecting candidates in one spot!
I disklike that the tabs can't be opened in individual windows. Even though you can have multiple tabs open in the single Bullhorn tab, I think visually I like it better when there can be multiple windows tabs. There was an error with parsing resumes directly from an email, but find that whenever there is an error they seems to fix it quickly and efficiently.
I think it keeps everyone organized and on-track to placing candidates when used daily.
Organization is key. All of your contacts and companies are saved in customizable "favorites." Call lists can be easily created using the handy "tearsheet" feature too.
We use it in a sales capacity along with our recruiters. It is limited for sales professionals because Bullhorn CRM is the sales counterpart, so having to use staffing and recruiting software does compare to jamming a square peg on a round hole at times.
Bullhorn solves the problem of forgetting past candidates that may fit a future job. Storing candidates files allows you to search key words when a new job needs to be filled, and a previous candidate that didn't get hired for a previous job might fit the bill, and bullhorn makes them readily accessible using a quick keyword search
Intuitive to use. Simple layout with easy to understand color coding. Candidate records are laid out well. And in general the verbiage used is very easy to understand what is being asked of you. Monster API integration into bullhorns UI is also super great!
I wish they had a better mobile site available and or a mobile app. Recruiting is an industry where you will frequently take calls in the car, out on lunch etc. to be able to document that away from your laptop would be phenomonal
Used Bullhorn at a previous recruiting agency and man did i not realize how good I had it when it came to our ATS. Bullhorn was easy to be trained on, and get up and running in no time!
I like that it has the ability to keep your contacts and leads information securely and has an unlimited amount of database capability.
It can be difficult to track sourcing correctly since a lot of time it has to be manually entered. Integrations with other programs takes a little while.
We are using this system to keep all of our leads, contracts, assignments, etc streamlined and the benefits of having it is everyone can log in at anytime throughout the company to pull information.
Bullhorn houses all possible information as it has candidate profiles, client profiles, contact (manager) profiles, leads, etc. It also allows you to enter information and share it internally by adding sending emails to individuals and/or distributions lists. Very useful for storing and sharing information internally. Also the search capabilities are very robust and allow for some deep drilled down searches
Nothing really to dislike about this CRM as I find it is a lot more functional than some of it's competitors
Housing our database of candidates and their information. able to do robust searches to bull up specific candidates is very helpful!
What I like best about Bullhorn is you are able to search for past candidates you have worked with. The program stores their contact info for easy access in the future. I also like you can also search for candidates using Boolean searches, their phone numbers and/or emails.
The only issues I have had with Bullhorn are more user error. You can search for candidates via email and if you have a space in the front of their email address it sometimes will not be able to locate the candidate.
We are able to located strong tech talent for our clients within the database. We work with many candidates on a daily basis and some can get lost. Bullhorn makes it easy to track past candidates you have worked with.
Bullhorn allows a simple access to all sent and candidate profiles makes my job effortless.
Pulling data to sync could be more efficient.
Matching top tier talent wit our clients; I've made lots of placements using bullhorn.
Great resume parsing, excellent LinkedIn RPS connectivity, great for candidate activity tracking
Searching for specific characteristics can be difficult
Much better at tracking candidates from sourcing through placement and follow-up
I like that Bullhorn is easy to use, the UI is great, and the process of keeping track of candidate records, notes, actions, and interviews is seamless.
Sometimes not every team member records their information or proper data.
We are a technical staffing agency so we are keeping track of candidates and where we are active and who we have interviewing / in - play with our clients. I've used 3 other ATS' in 8 years, and I can hands down say that Bullhorn is the best for the industry. It syncs with email, and you should be able to tell information on candidates just by clicking on their record cards.
Ease of use - intuitive interface. Best CRM I've used. Quick search is a very handy feature
Mainly the formatting issues on certain profiles. Needs to be a bit more consistent
Organizing candidates by relevance, I find it does a good job picking up the bouillon searches I run
It's really efficient and way better than some of the others I have used in the past. I think it's a great way to keep all of my candidates in order and detailed. There are also a lot of more hidden features that I've figured out over time and they've been additional help to our teams.
It's tedious. I wish that it was more like Salesforce in the sense that it would track just about everything for us. I realize there are emails tracked places, but there are a lot of features that just make it messy. We also don't have all of the info it asks for when we add candidates so we end up with a ton of garbage in there. Additionally, the mobile use is TERRIBLE still. It barely functions on my iOS. The dashboard is messy and has gotten worse over time but I no longer use it.
We have used this to easily create rules and definitions around candidate ownership and made it much more efficient when people are competing for it.
I like how easy it is as a tool to use within the work place. Using it as an ATS has been both efficient and worthwhile long-term due to it's ability to track information and candidates. What this tool also does is track ownership within the tool and date and time stamps on emails sent from work addresses. This makes it easy to go back into the tool to find information from way back when.
Sometimes, the tool is delayed and will not load. I will have to restart it which is inconvenient when you are in the middle of adding a candidate or job to the tool. For example, when I am adding a candidate, it will not load as quickly as it should.
The business problems we are solving would be to have a unified system to input data. Our organization has offices around the world including India and around the US and so having one system for everything is most helpful and conducive.
Resume Parser and online timesheets and commission automation is fantastic.
Nothing- it is much better then previous product
Recruitment
The ability to customize our solution and integrate with our HRIS, and 3rd party API interface build.
The transition to Lighting leaves a few things broken
Highly Automated ATS. Full automated solution with various vendor API integrations.
The seamless integration with Salesforce workflows, responsive customer support, and ability to customize.
I wish that questions sets integrated with reports in a more functional manner. Because of this, we rarely use them.
We were trying to increase the ability for our recruiters to collaborate. Chatter has allowed seamless communication and sharing of insights about candidates. Leveraging Ebsta keeps our full history with a candidate in the contact record.
Bullhorn is user friendly and pretty quick.
Some parts of navigating existing candidates can be hard to understand.
I'm helping people and making connections.
I personally love that I always feel confident and safe in BH. It saves all of my notes-theres never any glitches and the kicker-its easy to navigate!
Some times it doesnt take my resume information I down load properly
BH allows myself and my colleagues to keep tabs of who has talked to who candidate wise so we arent calling the same people. The benefits are accuracy and organization .
Bullhorn is an extremely simple system to use. It is very very user friendly. I came from a different applicant tracking system that we not easy to use and coming over to BH was fantastic.
Sometimes it can be a little bit clunky and slow - but it's a HUGE database so I understand. For the most part I really do enjoy the system
I am able to keep track of my candidates in the recruiting world, better than any other system I've experienced. I can't imagine working in the recruiting world without it.
I like the way the work flows on the life of the candidate. Tearsheets, Daxtra, templates are also very helpful and easy to use.
Sometimes it gets a little sluggish and sometimes the ranking doesn't make sense. For example, when I put in a search string, some resumes will populate without one of the words being on the resume and be at the very top of the list.
Making quick contact before the competition does. A lot of benefits keeping candidates organized and tracking them to the appropriate recruiter.
The versatility of this program makes it a great resource for staffing and recruiting and it integrates well with Monster.com and Outlook. I also really like that you can adjust the system settings so it works best for what the company needs it for. Very easy to communicate with other Bullhorn users from within the system or by linking to outlook.
Better integration with Outlook, expensive integration options, printing anything from Bullhorn is inefficient and does not work well. Would be nice if there was a help manual or training document for the system.
Applicant tracking is efficient and easy to navigate.
It is very easy it is to navigate through Bullhorn. I love technology that helps keep me efficient, and Bullhorn does just that!
Bullhorn is the first ATS system that I've used. I have heard stories about others and I am fortunate that I haven't run into any issues.
I speak to several candidates a day. Staying organized and ensuring appropriate follow ups are key to getting my job done. Bullhorn helps me streamline my processes and keep everything in order. I'm a huge fan of setting up reminders through the system as well.
CRM functionality for full desk, full cycle sales. Reporting is accurate, easy to use and great for keeping teams motivated.
No ability to parse profiles directly from LinkedIn.
Recruitment
The absolute ease of the UI on this product. I find the colour coded tabs help me keep my clients and candidates organised.
I don't love that the password you have to remember is really long.
I work as a recruiter. Finding the best possible candidate, and filling a role for client satisfaction. Bullhorn lets me keep on top of multiple open orders at the same time.
User friendly, easy to navigate, able to add on various technology to adapt with company needs - very excited we are in the process of switching over as I have used it in the past and out of all the ATS and CRM systems I have used in the past this is by far one of the top!
Only concern is that you can do mass emails and I just think that yes it saves time, but it takes out the personal touch.
Saves time in all aspects from sales, recruitment, management etc. There are so many different options of and reports that will just enhance business.
BH is user friendly and easily navigated. IT makes my day not as consumed with trying to input data. Probably the easiest user friendly system i have even used. You can modify it as well to cater your business.
Sometimes it times out around 3 or 4 pm and gives you a file folder saying "aw snap" it really makes me mad sometimes :)
solving staffing problems by having an awesome database which we go to first.. makes the day quick
I love the integration with SFDC, it is easy and smooth and fully searchable.
Sometimes it is a bit clunky but overall it is very good.
It has streamlined our recruiting practices.
Bullhorn has saved us time and money by incorporating our offline processes 'online'. Working with Bullhorn's Marketplace partners has meant that from the time we place a job advertisement on the web to setting up our contractors (and them completing timesheets) is now completely online with zero offline paperwork. Great customer support throughout our time with Bullhorn has made it easy when we want to do something new, or if there's an issue we face. Nothing seems too much trouble for the team at Bullhorn
This is a tough one! Sometimes when we have (what we think is) a great idea, we see there is a lag between raising this product improvement to it becoming live in production. Being in Australia, the localisation of the product to a little while (US format fields etc) but this has now been resolved. Reporting has been a small challenge - we would like full control over the reporting module. We hear that there is a new and improved reporting tool in the wings, which we are very happy about so it allows us to fully manage this part of our business All in all, not much to dislike!
Peoplebank wanted to have a configured system which allowed us to realise the benefits of putting our entire recruitment process online. We achieved this and have been able to work with the team at Bullhorn to make continuous improvements to our Bullhorn environment.
Ease of use and multiple world class features
Nothing.. Meets all of my needs and then some
USe as a CRM and ATS as well as Back office solution
