Butter gives our team the ability to use a wide range of configurations and images for content and keep them separate for each of our customers in an easy to manage way.

Butter has helped us quickly change content across a variety of websites and then clone the progress that we've made whenever needed for additional sites

It's super easy to setup and use in development, setting up keys to identify content, and quickly viewing a example response from the api buttercms dashboard gives you confidence to implement the calls in your codebase and map the data structures to the relevant places.

We haven't run into anything problematic just yet! :)

We've decoupled the addition/updating of marketing/dynamic content from our different teams, from something that only the development team would be able to do previously with new releases, to something the marketing team can do at any moment.

CMS has been an amazing tool for both our marketing team as well as our development team. By using Butter we are able to efficiently create and update our website.

I have not experienced any issues so far with Butter. When I do come across an issue the Butter team is always available to help and they also have a plethora of resources one can utilize.

ButterCMS is super easy to integrate on an existing site. Their processes to build a blog with just a simple command in the console is super helpful. Plus, abstracting all that "developer stuff" and giving content creators their own place to add content is incredibly helpful for any company serious about their blog. The built-in SEO is also great.

It's best for those who publish content regularly. If you're not pushing out content at least weekly or are not serious about growing your content marketing efforts then you may want to look at other solutions.

I wanted to be able to publish content without worrying about spinning up a nice text editor, customizing all my SEO, and doing all the work that comes with developing a high quality blog in RoR. Butter makes all that work easy peasy.

Butter CMS is an excellent tool if you want to make your blogging effective and much easier! Definitely recommend it + really good customer service. We do not have experience with another CMS tool.

I had trouble once when the uploaded picture and video file didnt published well on our website. but it was solved later, and since that it works without any problems.

The best benefit is that once we needed to write articles related to our product, Butter CMS provided us an effective way how to create easily a blog on our platform without any need to code our own solution.

It is a very user-friendly tool with an excellent interface. Even if it is the first time you use it, you will find your way around very quickly and make use of its many features.

It is a fantastic tool used mainly by team members without coding experience. Coding experience is not needed; how awesome is that! So I might need to use more to find some negatives.

It is extremely easy to create or update content with Butter CMS. This means the speed when pushing into production drastically improves, and the team can invest their time in other tasks.

I love how easy it is to use, I was able to learn my way around the platform very quickly and easily. I especially love the Butter Support Team, they have done an amazing job in helping us make big changes that would have taken us forever to do without their help. They always get back to me in a very timely manner which I greatly appreciate. Nikki in particular is so very kind and has been a tremendous help in helping us overcome obstacles.

I have yet to experience anything I don't like about butter. We have been able to accomplish everything we need without any issues.

We have been able to publish our content very easily. We are able to publish Blogs, E-books, Glossary pages, and more! Our team produces a ton of content so butter makes it pleasantly simple to put those together and schedule them out to publish on our site.

Our company's experience with ButterCMS was excellent. Our website was hardcoded and we decided to add content and resources long after we originally set it up. It made it so much easier to get started with content and SEO without having to do additional coding. I recommend them to others in a similar situation.

As above, it made it easier to get started with SEO and content marketing for our site. Our domain authority increased a LOT once we started producing content through ButterCMS.

It makes sharing blog posts quick and easy! One of my favorite platforms to use for blog posts so far! My favorite thing about ButterCMS is that I can schedule posts to stay on top of all of my tasks. The scheduling out ability that ButterCMS has lets me plan for more content in the future.

ButterCMS has so many great tools, but one thing that I would like to see changed in ButterCMS is font sizes of header 1 and header 2 to look less alike once the blog is published. Sometimes when I am reading posts all day I have a hard time telling the differences between the header because the sizes seem so close visually.

We can post quality blog content to our website and ButterCMS gives us the ability to have our blogs looks professional and well organized with visual no issues.

I've only been using ButterCMS for a short amount of time in a localization project, but I'm so grateful for the ease of use when translating our current pages in English to International languages. It breaks down each line of text, making my verification and translation tasks quick and smooth.

Maybe I need to use it longer than a couple months to find out, but don't have any suggestions at the moment.

For my specific team, we've been tasked with taking all our current landing pages and localizing them in multiple languages. This is a huge undertaking with multiple people reviewing every page (the individual CSM, management and marketing), but with Butter CMS, it cuts out the stress and difficulty of such an immense, but very important milestone for our company.

Butter CMS has a very user-friendly interface. It’s easy to add and work on content pages for our website. I really love their language options, which makes the localization process much easier.

ButterCMS is a great product that fits all our company needs without having too many bells and whistles that complicate the product or the UI. What I like best, though, is the customer service. They've helped us do many projects or simplify the projects. Butter has added features when we've asked for them. They are super responsive to questions. Our company is now using Butter across 7 different areas of our business and it's been such a great partnership.

The user management was very difficult to manage but then Butter went in and completely updated the experience.

We use ButterCMS as a way to display dynamic content, creating entire pages hosted by Butter, including a microsite, and our blog is all housed in Butter.

The small learning curve for onboarding. Customizable for our business needs. Supports internationalization and localization for content. An excellent choice for your Headless CMS needs. Smooth like Butter ;) Support is also quick responsive and willing to help in many scenarios.

Would be great to have a better way to migrate content for environments. A typical challenge we face is having a Staging and Production instance and moving content from STG to PROD, which has been somewhat cumbersome, however, the support team has many times kicked in and assisted with this migration of data, so kudos to them and their support team!

As a headless CMS, this allows us to cleanly separate our Code and Content, giving our Product Owners and Growth team the ability to update content as they see as necessary without the need to engage with a developer.

The customer support team is highly responsive and willing to help me in any way. Especially when it comes to data migration from one environment to another environment, They are more than just helpful. Friendly UI to manage contents

IT would be great if there's a way to migrate content without asking the customer support team. But Them being available to me and supportive was super helpful.

Dynamic content with simplicity to support SEO without having to re-deploy our apps, I could change the customer-facing content quickly with a friendly UI that enables non-technical people to manage the platform.

As admin, using ButterCMS to manage a website and blog is straightforward and easy. Our dev team enjoyed working with their technology, and any changes I need to have implemented can be done so quickly. But the absolute best is the personal touch and responsiveness of the support team. Even when we've struggled with some issue, they went above and beyond the help.

The platform requires more technical knowledge to implement changes, but that's what the developers are for.

Website and blog management.

With only a little bit of our developer time, we built a powerful "curation" feature on our site that allowed our Content team to rapidly create new landing pages with curated video content on our site. Support was solid, as the ButterCMS team quickly answered any questions I had. In my opinion, the Components module is the most powerful part of the ButterCMS platform, and while it's a recent addition, it can supercharge what you are doing. Also, the price is very fair versus some of the competition who attempt to gouge your marketing budget.

I found the initial marketing kind of confusing – as some of the marketing sounds like there are no software engineering resources required. That is misleading. To do the initial integration and develop the actual ability to display content on the site DOES take engineering work, design, and custom code. Not a ton, but not trivial either, as you need to do design and development work. However, *after* the team builds what is needed, it's very flexible to change the content if they've done their job well. The Ruby library also needs some help as it's a little oddly built.

Helping our content team build landing pages using reusable components that our design + dev team created for them. It's made it very easy for our marketing team to build out new campaigns without needing developer resources.

The CMS has everything you need to publish your content in quickly and easily. There's no faff with ButterCMS. And if you do need any help, they are always on hand to help you via their livechat.

No real downsides to ButterCMS; it does everything we need it to.

We needed a CMS to house all our content that had fast load times and didn't need a lot of development time to implement. ButterCMS fit the bill perfectly.

ButterCMS helps to save the time and effort of developers by removing the requirements of making deployments and allowing our marketing teams to make updates to our site quickly. The system has been well developed, making it seamless for developers to create components that non-technical staff can understand and translate into details for our site. The support team has quickly dealt with any issues that have arisen.

Signup was confusing when I accidentally signed up with my account instead of waiting for my company to invite me. The superb support team quickly rectified this!

It removes the requirement of developers to make changes to the site and therefore saving time and effort for developers. Allows marketing teams to make immediate changes to the site and rearrange it as they see fit.

Very responsive customer service. Butter CMS has made me feel like they value feedback and really want to help me succeed with their product. I asked a question, and they responded quickly, made some suggestions, and even arranged a Zoom meeting to discuss my needs in detail. They even decided to implement a feature that I requested, and kept communicating with me through the process. I've never experienced that from a company before. That service builds loyalty, because even if there's a bug or feature that doesn't exist, I have confidence that they will listen to me and try to help me find a solution.

The api is less complete than I was hoping for. (But that's getting better!)

Adding content to whatever framework you want is extremely easy with ButterCMS. I am very impressed with this workflow, and will recommend ButterCMS in the future.

There are certain features that are missing that would be desireable, but Nikki from ButterCMS is extremely welcoming on any feature requests, so I feel assured that feedback is listened to and considered.

We were able to create a generalized PageType with a bunch of "components" (writeable data groupings) that can be added to a "page" at will. Through this, we created complementing React components that would render each of these page components and consumed them in a constructor that would then render them in the order added in ButterCMS. This allows us to create any page we want via Butter, and then it will immediately be added to our website.

It was really easy to get started and retrieve some response from the api.

I wish there's a way to get a timestamp of every publish, and the ability to revert back to a specific timestamp to restore previous changes.

We needed an easy way for administrators to update the content w/o needing to push code to our repo, and butter CMS provided that.

The best thing about Butter is that it's so easy to use. The layout is very simple and easy to navigate. If any problems come up, their team has incredibly fast response times. Nikki was super helpful and friendly.

I have yet to come across a downside with the platform. Any questions I've had were immediately answered on the chat.

Butter allows the company I work for to post blogs on our website. Our company blog is the driving force behind our marketing team. It's great that Butter allows our entire team to be on the same page as far as what is published and what is scheduled.

ButterCMS is easy to use for everything. We built our site on Jekyll, and then we use Butter to interface the editing for every single page. Regardless of the type of page, we can use Butter to interface with it, so our marketers can change the text. Home pages/blog pages/etc. anything. We can easily use the source code feature to write in add-ons such as calendly, or signup forms, so we can even build those kinds of pages easily.

Page limits! We hit the page limit a few times, and had to upgrade. Our strategies are really ambitious though - we're talking 10,000 pages or so. However, in butter's defense, they reached out to give us a special deal on mass-produced pages, and they reached out to offer that without us even asking. So good job guys!

The problem butter solves is it gives marketers the ability to edit webpages made of any design. So it's not only blog pages, but all pages. It also is a great blog editor.

Before ButterCMS we were using Wordpress with the ACF plugin to store data for our marketing website. And our dev team needed to spend a lot of time in WP to create pages, adjust fields and then pull the data through the APIs. What I really like about ButterCMS is that our marketing team managed to really quickly understand and learn ButterCMS and after first setup from the dev team, now they are able to create their own pages and collections without devs involved. Which really saves a lot of time for developer where they can focus on actual development and not content creation. The second part is their APIs which are really easy to understand and use. We were able to pull the data in a couple of minutes without any strange or unexpected results. Would really recommend this CMS to any team who want to quickly and efficiently develop their marketing websites. And their support is top notch!

These are not dislikes but more like "would be nice to have feature" (or wishlist for future development): - can't move content between environments - can't add an existing page to the page type - although you can have multiple workspaces, what I'm missing is pagination on the workspace (some workspace can have a lot of collections) - more content filtering options on the API calls - when updating component in the library, all page which is using that component should be updated (not just pages with the same type) - missing custom fields on the blog posts

We've migrated our marketing website from the Wordpress to ButterCMS as we've realised that by migrating we'll be resolving couple of things: - marketing team will be finally able to create content on their own - we won't need to run separate server to host our files (images, documents, videos) - we won't need to run separate CDN - all data will be in one place (previously some data was in Wordpress while other data was in our CRM)
