Compare Cloudflare with other popular tools in the same category.
It is integrating with all other Cloudflare services and together they all work perfectly.
We don't really dislike anything, even the pricing is reasonable.
We use it at work to speed up some websites.
I like how Cloudflare is an all-in-one service. They build solutions that work for small businesses to large (enterprise) businesses.
I dislike the limitations on DNS configuration as well as some strange limitations on the API unless you are using the Enterprise plan.
Caching content on the edge and enabling security issues before they reach the origin.
Easy of use and control over the data is very easy. less costly than other CDN providers.
nothing as of now, have been using it more than 7 years and will keep using
Edge cache, reduced cloud bills, customer performance and availability of our services even when backend is down
The CDN feature is really helpful, I have able to upscale up the website speed under 1s from 10s, it just works amazing, and it's free. The Analytics Dashboard it provides is just awesome to understand the monthly data and bandwidth usage by the website and scale up the site and optimize it. It also has a dashboard to see the Browser Insights and an overview of how fast is the website in development mode and in real time.
Few of the features Argo is categorized to premium would like to try first on a trial basis before purchasing sadly that option is missing in Cloud Flare. During the initial setup, DNS propagation takes time to reflect and the First analysis on the dashboard takes time as well. CMS Integration need to serve more features.
Making CDN(Content Delivery Network) make the website load fast in the different regions based on the request, Analysis of the visitors based on the country and get some insights about how fast the website is loading and optimize the website based on that.
Free Cloudflare SSL certificate, which is trusted by everyone using the internet and is highly secure. Once a Cloudflare plan is set up on a website, one does not need to worry about renewing the SSL certificate or set it up for the first time. Cloudflare is extremely user-friendly that it does things that should be done without the user having to worry about.
Cloudflare should improve the account settings page in the user account dashboard. Like a user should be able to independently change their email, password, or add a phone number, etc.
The nearest data center serving a visitor of your website using the geographical advantage is the best ever thing that can happen to your website performance especially when a typical shared hosting is there.
I have been observing the performance and security of my client's websites for three years. When I build a website or e-commerce, website speed is critical. Website performance is the first step to gaining credibility from your website visitors. It should not be overlooked, especially for online stores. E-commerce websites have more images than personal websites or blogs. Online stores with slow access will reduce the trust of your potential customers. Your e-commerce bounce rate will also increase. It will hurt your e-commerce rank on popular search engines. Security is the second factor I always consider. Not all my clients use dedicated hosting. Some of them choose Webhosting without powerful DDOS features. They are retail e-commerce owners. I don't want to burden them with extra costs to improve their web security from attackers. The good news is: Cloudflare can solve these two crucial problems for free. My clients have never complained about their e-commerce performance. It has been three years since they use Cloudflare's free plan. Cloudflare has many servers spread across almost all countries in the world. Cloudflare features fast and secure internet content delivery. CDN allows super-fast data transfers needed to load WordPress websites and e-commerce content. Another factor that increases website performance is traffic filtering and converting web pages into static content. The cache system on the CDN will reduce significantly when many visitors access the page simultaneously. The sophistication of this feature will save hosting resources and bandwidth. My clients who use shared hosting with limited bandwidth are delighted with the information I explain in detail. They don't worry about getting a "Bandwidth Limit Exceeded" message because many bot visitors attacked their site. One more thing I like about Cloudflare is that it doesn't include a credit link, even though we didn't choose the PRO package. I've used another Free CDN before so that I can compare it. Imagine, you can get many great features of Cloudflare for free. So, it's not a surprise to me that Cloudflare is becoming a top-rated CDN service.
If you choose a free package and want to switch to another hosting, then you must understand about IP Address of your new hosting. It would be best if you changed it manually through the DNS settings menu. Some users may be inconvenient to do it, especially for new users that have not yet experienced using a CDN account. Cloudflare's free plan disables users from customing their nameserver. When my clients need it, I will advise them to upgrade to the PRO plan. Problem with modifying web themes. If you modify the themes on e-commerce or blog engines, it will not automatically make the changes you can see in real-time. For example, you change the background color of the header or website logo. You need to log in to your Cloudflare account to modify cache settings on the Cloudflare dashboard. If you don't have direct access to your Cloudflare account, It is a small problem. You need to contact the Cloudflare account holder to custom it. Everything in this world always has two sides. There is pros and cons side. However, the two cons that I mentioned above are not the main problems that often occur by Cloudflare users. Besides web developer, I am a full-time blogger since 2012. Cloudflare is the best choice for better website performance.
Cloudflare has been protecting my client's website from thousands of bot visitors and attackers. Cloudflare makes my client website never down again. Cloudflare is the best choice for better website performance.
This website allows you to use a proper CDN without paying for it, if you need further assistant or premium options, you can always pay for it. However, as far as I have been using it I have no problems with it. Cloudflare allows people worldwide to see your website from a near server and not from your original server unless that user is close to you. Is easy to set up and if you use WordPress there are thousands of plugins that can work great with it. But, make sure the plugin has a Cloudflare integration.
When first I make the settings I needed help and my hosting provider helps me faster than Cloudflare itself, they took so long to answer me back, that I almost lose hope. Either way, the problem was actually on the hosting settings, so I got the client service that I needed. The Cloudflare website isn't easy to read for people who know nothing about CDN and that kind of stuff, so you may want to read a little about what you need and maybe look into videos explaining how to set it up.
Basically allows me to show faster information from my blog to readers around the world, while I'm still struggling with a faster load, Cloudflare has helped me already with it.
Cloudflare makes it easy to config the optimal DNS and CDN services without complicated server configuration. We also love that the base services are free. They always seem to do what's best for the consumer and the internet. Any time there is an issue they are transparent about what is going on and when it will be fixed.
Among the average consumer, it's still mostly unknown so it takes some explaining sometimes when we want to move a client's DNS onto Cloudflare. Also would love to be able to add users to our account for only single sites so that our clients can have access to their own DNS without having to create a bunch of Cloudflare accounts.
We have hosting companies that only use CNAME's for configuring sites on their services. This is a problem when you want to have the root domain (non-subdomain) be the primary URL. There are very few services that can provide CNAME records on the root domain. On top of that, we get improved speeds (CDN), DDoS protection, and many other small tweaks that are a few clicks away without a complicated server setup.
Cloudflare is very easy to use and it offers many free services like free SSL, CDN, DNS. It also helps secure your server thank to the ability to block DDOS.
The free plan plan limits 3 page rules. I hope they can increase the limit. Others are very good.
Free SSL and CDN. I always points my domain (from Namecheap or Godaddy) to Cloudflare to manage all the domains in one place. It saves a lot of time and effort when you need to adjust the DNS or update the DNS records.
Its free version is also offering cdn services along with https certificate
When i optimised my website it reflects changes in css
Making secure my website , along with i can block users whom i don't want to access, country wise i can block users
