The set up is quick and friendly, I definitely prefer Cloudflare's cleaner interface to other CDN dashboards which seem cluttered by comparison.
Figuring out the differences in service levels takes a little digging, the tiers could be more clearly explained during the sign-up flow as opposed to just being on the marketing page.
I want to ensure my website stays up 100% of the time. I utilize caching and DDoS prevention. The free SSL is a real boon too!
I really like how quickly it was to set up and get running once I had figured out how to do it. I used it on a SquareSpace site that loaded some very large images. I wasn't happy with the performance of the site until I started using it with CloudFlare. Images loaded a lot quicker, especially once the cache had warmed up. I also though the dashboard was really simple to navigate and understand.
I haven't encountered anything thus far that I dislike. If I had to say something, it would be that it wasn't 100% clear that the CDN was working but after some playing around with the dashboard and running some tests on my sites webpages, I could see the difference.

The best thing about Cloudflare is it made my website really fast to load and it was really easy to use.
CloudFlare hasn't help me with scaling issues. It helps with static files and front-end performance, but can't do anything to scale my application tier.

Cloudflare is one of the best choice for me when its comes to Firewall, security and CDN performance. I used Cloudflare for a long time to enhance website performance and secure website.
Cloudflare is known for security and performance but I don't like its routing issue in free plan. I used it with Cloudflare APO but very disappointed with its routing. It delivers content from far data centre(e.g. delivery content from Europe or Singapore for Indian users sometimes).
Cloudflare has best firewall and CDN nodes. It secure my website from bad bots, and malicious activities and also enhance performance via its global CDN.
It's easy to use, and there is a free tier
It's not very flexible when it comes to configuring subdomains to work differently.
It's useful when you want to hide your servers real IP.
I like the complexity of the website optimisations.
The speed at average when used in the United States is not as good quality.
Only that it is expensive.
The dashboard is filled with advanced settings and easy to read information. There is a decent amount of FAQ and Help pages
On-boarding support is non-existent. If you have an issue setting things up expect a period of extended downtime. Ticket responses are inconsistent. Sometimes a reply within 5-10 minutes. Other times up to 50 minutes for a response. A definite push to getting people onto Enterprise plans despite the jump from Business to Enterprise being $200 - $5000 per month simply so you can access telephone support. Perhaps that is why the rest of the support is so poor.
Nothing yet. After first day we have had to disable the kit as it was not functioning properly.
I like this DNS because it's free and has better protection than Google's Free DNS. Good for websites.
This DNS has many drawbacks and inconveniences. It causes problems on sites that use Cloudfare as a security measure, such as G2. It also makes it harder to pass website captchas, especially Google captchas, than using your ISP or Google's own captcha service. For example, you may have to select all the images with a fire hydrant or complete a picture puzzle with the whole fire hydrant, motorcycle, etc. Bottom line: bad for website visitors.
It's not solving anything for me. There are other free DNS options available to use instead which have a lot more going for them like adblock and malware protection. However, they too can be blocked by some sites or make it even more difficult to complete captchas.
Automatic image compression, Automatic Web Application Firewall, and easy to implement Content Delivery Network. The overall product offering is great but very expensive beyond the first level.
Customer Service is Awful! Even for the Paid version! We became locked out of our account, because of a mistake that we made. When we asked for support, it was impossible to get the problem resolved. The support staff didn't read the notes on the ticket, didn't understand what was going on, gave solutions that didn't work at all, were just completely incompetent. They took 3-4 days between some responses and overall were uninformed.
DDoS Mitigation and CDN delivery as well as speed improvement and reduced bandwidth
This is one of a amazing WAF i had seen as a soc analyst which is best apart from others... As a soc analyst i get no alerts for any comprise of applications... Totally great
There are limitations on configuration options in comparison to some other providers
It almost filters all malacious traffics especially ddos..
Cloudflare WAF makes managing a WAF simple, for both high touch and low touch configurations. Integration with terraform makes itfit into a mature environment. Customer Support has been excellent as well. I have gotten quick and straightfoward answers for all my tickets.
Cloudflare still experiences outages, and you must engineer your set up to easily "de-flare" during these. Because of this you don't want to have them as your DNS provider, instead using their alternative domain management.
Cloudflare WAF ensures we meet our compliance requirements. It provides confidence with internet exposed endpoints. We can geo-lock endpoints to prevent unnecessary traffic and risk.
Its very good to use and have low latency all over the world connected CDN point.
Price should be as per business need and give some discount to users.
I am working in Music Company in which we delivery steaming music to end user, so Cloudflare solve low latency problem in our business.
Loads content closer to user, reducing latency, increasing availability
May get penalized by Google as cloudflair inject code into http header. It may also deliver wrong version of page.
Web load
Highly security and fast service. Best Services Provided , and easy to use Customer support is top notch
Sometimes, Cloudflare DNS can down and gets distinctive problems.
Cloudflare provide some goods services like save from crashes to website, and increase page loading
its service is fast compare to other platform , and its easy to use. Its security is high and many feature available in their platform
Sometimes, Cloudflare DNS can pass down or revel in distinctive problems. This can cause you to have hassle connecting to websites.
Cloudflare DNS is a fantastic company that can help improve your on line presence in some approaches. It can accelerate internet page loading, guard websites from crashes, and protect towards on-line threats.
Setup is very easy. Websites loads faster.
No negative point from my side. Everything is ok.
The proxy DNS helps in protecting my site from DDoS attacks. Also, negative effect during high traffic.
CloudFlare DNS offers Simple Ways of Making a Website more secure & Faster for Free. It has an extensive range of technological features & good documentation. The Setup part is straightforward, One needs to update the nameserver of their domain, and boom Cloudflare is ready to use.
The free plan lacks customer support, which is understandable as they need money to run. Apart from this, I don't have any complaints.
I use Cloudflare DNS to make my site more secure, e.g., using the free SSL certificate of Cloudflare, and DDoS Protection. Using Cloudflare DNS+CDN makes my website faster, decreasing the loading time of my website by a significant number.
In today's world, bots attack or bot traffic is very common for businesses, this is where Cloudflare service comes, it helps in managing bot traffic by using Machine learning algorithms to intelligently identify and avoid it, in turn making the business more optimal and robust.
Detection of bots by using Machine learning algorithms can be improved a lot, currently, it's not accurate, and some areas may not need identifying of bots attack but it still does check all which can block urgently wanted things, and also cost of service can be reduced that can bring in a smaller business.
Things in business can be a lot more complicated with bots also being a factor, one can leverage 3rd party services to ease things, this is where Cloudflare comes into the picture and helps a lot for the backend server. Configuring this tool in my way is also the best thing it offers because we can leverage it based on our needs, in turn increasing the productive time of fellow people.
The service never falid. And it is Uptime is 99%. Very reliable
There is no sreoius downside with it. I did not faced issues that caused by this service.
Cloudflare solves dns secuirty problems of my business. Cloudflare dns offers advanced secuirty with built-in DDoS mitigation and DNSSEC.
I ended up leaving GoDaddy DNS after more than few DNS records seemingly disappeared or were edited by GoDaddy Support. Cloudflare offers a clean interface for managing DNS records and lots of great security features for our hosting.
I wish they had more pricing tiers to make the DNS product more resellable.
Secure DNS management and security are the primary features I use on the platform.
