We use Cloudflare as our CDN to increase loading times on our websites and reduce bandwidth. So far Cloudflare is rock solid and super fast.

There was some downtime last month. When Cloudflare goes down all our websites also experience downtime

Our webserver was running out of bandwidth but Cloudflare took over this problem.

Cloudflare's CDN help boost in speeding up our site to our visitors from wherever they are. With their global cdn servers, it stores our files thus when a visitor visits for example, USA, the nearest cloudflare server will serve our cached files to the visitor, thus also reducing our bandwidth usage. We also have set cloudflares page rules to cache certain files for the longest time period. We also use their Rocket Loader feature to asynchronously load our javascript files for faster loading. We also enabled Brotli compression as we are using an SSL for our site, and Brotli compression is faster than gzip on ssl/tls connection.

We would like to try their Polish and Mirage feature but the pro plan is not really suitable for the earnings we have right now, so no ROI.

Faster website loading and also DDOS protection.

With Cloudflare, we save bandwidth almost 30 to 40%, because it caches most files that we have, and serve it through one of Cloudflare's servers when a visitor arrives. With Cloudflare, our site is also protected from DDOS attacks and further enhanced by Firewall rules which we can set according to what we deem best that works for our site security. Another new feature of Cloudflare is Cloudflare Registrar which they offer the lowest domain prices ever.

With Cloudflare Registrar, there are no registration options for new domains, only transfers.

Cloudflare protects our site and also speeds up our site compared to only using our own server.

Security: 1. Acts as a reverse proxy hiding our site IP address to protect our server from prying eyes. 2. Firewall rules - We can set how to block, deny or allow bots and other users. 3. Page rules - Block certain bots on specific pages. 4. DDOS Protection. 5. Free SSL. Site Speed Optimization: 1. Offers html, css and js minification. 2. Rocket Loader - asynchronously loads js for faster loading. 3. Brotli Compression for SSL. CDN: 1. Caches our sites files, serving cache content to our visitors thus reducing our bandwidth and server usage. 2. They have CDN servers around the world in almost all continents, which is excellent for global targeted sites.

So far, there is nothing I do not like about Cloudflare.

Our site caters globally so we need a CDN to cached our content on other sides of the world and Cloudflare does it well.

I like how Cloudflare combines protection and speed optimization without even setting up all those settings within your website. The process is so simple that you just submit your site to Cloudflare and they will give you a new nameserver to save in your domain nameserver settings to route to their network. After, the nameservers are globally updated, which usually just a few hours or max 48 hours, you are good to go. I like how Cloudflare acts as a new layer in front of your website, hiding your real server ip from prying eyes, and also protecting your site against ddos attacks. You can further enhance your protection by tinkering with the Firewall Settings within your Cloudflare Dashboard. Within your Cloudflare dashboard, there is also a page for Speed Optimization, which is a very great feature to set up.

I'd like to try their Railgun feature but its too expensive.

Cloudflare offers a free and fully rich-featured CDN service. It protects your website from DDOS attacks and also acts as a reverse proxy to hide your websites original IP from attackers. It also offers 5 Firewall rules in the free plan to further enhance the security of your site. It also gives you 3 Page rules options to further speed up or also secure your site. It also has speed optimization features. It now has a Brotli feature, it's like gzip compression, but works better on ssl/tls enabled sites. It also offers a feature which asynchronously loads your javascript files called Rocket Loader, for faster loading of your site. And not to forget that they already have a free SSL to make your site more secure and trusted.

We have been considering upgrading to Pro or Enterprise for some time now, but it's quite expensive and we think we could not get a fast ROI if we purchase it.

We are on 'cost is base on data usage server', and with Cloudflare caching our contents, we are paying less for our server.

Cloudflare is full of features even for the Free Tier and any small to medium website, with global reach, needs to have a CDN and Cloudflare is the best choice. It is the best choice as it has over 200 CDN servers around the world, that is 200 locations that cached your sites files for faster loading. Cloudflare also offers optimization features for speeding up your site, like Brotli compression if you use SSL, (which they also offer a Free SSL for your site), minification of html, css and javascript files, and Page Rules, where you can set a certain page, (static works best) to Cache Everything. Cloudflare also offers one of the best securities any CDN could offer. Firstly, it acts as a Reverse Proxy, which hides your servers real IP address. Secondly, it offers DDOS protection. Lastly, it has a Firewall Rules page where you can further create settings to harden your security. With this features alone, and to think of it, it is only their Free Tier, you already get too much for your website.

I just hope they'd offer Polish for free, (conversion of images to webp, a new image format that is more compressed than jpg and png), as Litespeed already offers webp for free.

Our site is more secure than ever and it became faster than just settling for the optimization features within our server.

Cloudflare CDN speeds up your website as it caches your files on all its global servers and when a visitor visits your site, all the files cached from a Cloudflare server nearest from the visitor will be served instead of getting it from your own server. This caching of your sites files also minimizes the use of your sites host which also saves your host from more usage. Cloudflare also offers speed optimizations such as html, css and js minification. It also has Page Rules where you can cached everything. You can also protect your site with more configurations using their Firewall feature. They also offer a Free SSL. All this, you can get from the Free Plan and usage is unlimited.

Their free ssl does not say that your site is registered as your site but it says cloudflare.

Website speed from different locations are good with Cloudflare, unlike when we are still not using it.

It has a massive global network, around 180 as they advertised, which makes your site load faster globally as it caches most of your sites files. Cloudflare also has features that no other CDN's have. They have a Rocket Loader feature which speeds up your site by asynchronously loading your javascript. It also has a minification feature to reduce your css, js and html file size for faster loading. The greatest feature that they have is DDOS protection. A must have for any sites as any hacker who might end up choosing your site for attacks might happen anytime.

Based on my experience, I had a hard time setting up my desired settings for the firewall rules and page rules because it took me some time to understand all the settings that they have.

Since using Cloudflare, I am more confident that our site is protected from DDOS attacks.

To further speed your site, they also offer various other features such as HTML, CSS and JS minification, Argo, and Railgun! They also have Mirage and Polish for image optimization, which is the reason why they gave me access to our team's Cloudflare account.

Because of it's vast features, our developers spent some time consuming testing out every options which works for the site, because some of the features does not really work well with the servers other features.

I used to manually convert images to webp for browsers that support it, but with Cloudflare Polish around, all it takes is just one click to perform the task.
