Crazy Egg is very easy to use and we can visualize the activity of the visitors to our website. Through this, we can review the quality of our website. Crazy Egg does not require any coding skills to set up.
Honestly, there is not much to hate about the crazy egg.
Crazy Egg helps me to know the quality of my website. Mainly the heatmap feature in it lets me know where the visitor clicks are the most. not only that, you can directly see the activities of the visitors that come and give you an idea of what to keep attractive on your website and what to change.
How is it to understand at all points a customer journey on our website thanks to how well its Heatmap feature works.
I feel that A/B testing could definitely be more polished. The PageCamera feature is a bit clunky as well.
It is low key one of the easiest ways to get customer insights and allows us to see if our current testings are working as intended, allowing us to delve deeper into analysis that sometimes are more complex than just whether a customer makes a purchase or not.
The software is very intuitive and easy to use. If you can't figure something out right away, the help center has answers to all the questions you may have. They also host webinars on different subjects to help educate us on the different functionalities we can use.
So far I have not come across anything I dislike about CrazyEgg.
CrazyEgg is helping us figure out internal and external traffic within our corporate website. It is also showing us visitor journey and where they are going and spending the most time, this will be helpful so we can decide what pages we need to add more content to or re-design.
Easy to use and very intuitive. I like how segmentation works.
I would like to spend more time with a product specialist to go over reports and insights
AB testing, choosing the best alternatives. We've been able to achieve greater conversions. Heat maps are great and we've been able to identify some bugs with session replays.
The snapshots offer a variety of ways to track how visitors are exploring and using your website.
I think it's a little pricey for small business for subscriptions.
We are able to view exactly how users are interacting with our website and what is drawing their interest. We've made several changes to landing pages based on the results from Crazy Egg.
Crazy Egg is super easy to set up and it is always well received by team members. Additionally, it is far more user friendly and easier to digest that Google Analytics in-page tool which is why I think its worthwhile to invest in this tool if you can.
It would be nice to have the option to pay monthly vs annually. Additionally, it would be great if they rolled out more visualization features.
We are able to better understand how to make improvements on our site based on the heat maps. It provides an unbiased view for the team to learn what may not be working well on the site.
I like the variety of visualization options. Heatmap, boxes, dots, etc.
Wish it would occupy a bigger part of my daily analysis. The product is something I only check in on every couple of months.
Benefits - better way of identifying what resonates with customers, I have learned a lot about user behaviour on websites.
We like Crazy egg better versus other packages we have used. However the overhead in terms of slowing the site and costs have us only using it sometimes. It is a great tool and presents the user information in ways that help you make good decisions.
Causes your site to slow down too much and over time costs can add up.
Getting more engagement to web sites.
Great for generating conversion test ideas based on where visitors are clicking and scrolling. It also offers the ability to segment new vs. returning visitors and where visitors are coming from, which is critical.
There are a lot of other similar tools on the market that offer essentially the same service for free. Heatmaps are good, but they still only provide a small piece of the buyer journey. As for the product overall, it's very good.
Conversion optimization. I've been able to visualize what visitors are doing on my sites, which helps a lot.
The heat-map is great, it is very convenient than the map is color coded, so it takes just seconds to get useful insights. It is also very useful that by clicking the dots on the map you can see exact amount t of clicks.
I needed a tech person to help me to integrate CrazyEgg with our website. I did everything by following the instruction, but it did not work. Fortunately one of our tech guy did it within seconds.
CrazyEggs helps us to understand our website's users' behavior. We can see not only what pages are the most popular, but also what particular content on a particular website's page is more relevant to our audience and what content has to be changed or deleted.
It's very easy to use, just a little bit of code needs to be added to your website or landing page software and you can use it over and over. This tool, especially the scrollmap, helped show us where people are dropping off on a landing page and what sections need to be removed or improved.
I wish you could use this on an email template so you could see where people are clicking on your email.
We are able to see if people are clicking on things that should be linked (aka an icon that is there for visual purposes). And we are also able to determine where people are leaving the landing page. We have used this tool as "evidence" that certain landing pages need to be updated and where.
I like the data and charts that are easy for everyone to use.
It would be beneficial to see more ways on how to use the information and what to do with it moving forward.
Seeing where customers click within our webpage.
Shows visitor clicks in many ways including confetti and heat maps. You can use this data to improve your site.
You need to create snapshots of pages, so, in my case, it would be of either article pages or the homepage. It's a bit burdensome to create a snapshot of multiple articles and isn't worth it. We mostly use it for the homepage to make it more user-friendly.
We're trying to optimize the site so it's user-friendly and visitors read more content.
Easy to integrate with Optimizely. Confetti helps to visualize clicks by segments - device, new/old visitors, campaigns, etc. Low price (for small websites that need only simple heatmaps)
Limited visualizations - CrazyEgg doesn't offer attention maps or mouse movements like other services. CrazyEggs offers only heat mapping, we prefer using less services to get more information (session replay, funnels, formas analytics, etc)
Mostly we used CrazyEggs due to its easy integration with Optimizely to get heatmaps from different variations while running A/B testing. Those heatmaps were useful, however we really missed some other informations like mouse movements and attention maps.
Crazy Egg has the possibility to be such a powerful tool. It's very easy to add the javascript snippet and to export results. One thing I love is that Crazy Egg allows you to download snapshot results in a convenient zip folder, with different files laid out. Each snapshot also features the conditions (time frame, number of visitors and actions and site name) right there on the file, which is nice for providing context.
The interface is rough. ROUGH. Their menu options are hidden and often times you are left wondering "OK, now what do I do?" For example, if you reach your limit of screenshots, they bring you to a screen to delete screenshots but you can't do it one at a time, you need to select all before they will give you the option to delete. Also the "in snapshot" menu can be really confusing.
I am helping to solve the problem of confused website visitors - making it easier to find roadblocks visitors face when they are looking to complete a conversion. I help clients make money by making the customer experience a better, more logical one. Removing clutter and sharpening site messaging. Besides the obvious financial benefits, I have achieved the added benefits of improved usability, site performance, cleaner design and consistent messaging during all steps in a site's sales funnel.
I like the fact that CrazyEgg is very easy to use.
There is nothing I dislike about the tool.
With CrazyEgg we solve the problem of not knowing whether our website visitors click where they need to click in order to get them to the next step in their journey on our website.
Simple integration. Fast results that are easy to understand by all partners. Affordable service. User friendly experience - limited learning curve.
Native app options are not available. Video download would be a nice feature. A/B testing is not that easy to use. High level reporting would be a nice to have. Best practices newsletter would be a plus. User flows would be a life changer - see AppSee
Testing the success of new features. Validating customer or client requests.
The Crazy Egg interface is super easy to use, and the snapshots it generates are powerful. They provide actionable insights by showing us what's important to our users so that we can help give them more of what they want and less of what they don't. We've been using this tool for over eight years and continue to find value in it!
The main downside is that setting up snapshots is a manual process. Pages that are viewed by users aren't automatically tracked and stored, so you have to set up each page you want captured. We've had our interns work on this though, which has helped with the amount of time and effort a program manager would have to spend on setup.
Crazy Egg snapshot results help us quickly and easily identify what's most important to our users because they are so visual, and we often use it in conjunction with our web analytics tool. For example, when we've noticed in the past that our search bar is red hot in a Crazy Egg heatmap, we look in our web analytics tool to see what they're searching for from that page, and then we adjust the page content/creative to include what they're looking for.
What I like best about Crazy Egg is just how much data you can get from this site. I love how you can easily see exactly where your users are viewing your site and how it allows you to see videos of exactly what a user was going on a webpage.
There’s not actually much I dislike about Crazy Egg. Though if I had to give one aspect I didn’t love, it would be at first it felt a little tedious getting everything set up. Though once you get used to how the site works, overall, it’s very easy to navigate and use.
The problems I was solving with Crazy Egg, were that we needed to gain more insight about how our users would actually use our website. We wanted to know exactly where users were spending their time and what aspects of a webpage would being viewed and clicked on the most. This overall aspect also ended up being the major benefit, when we would see certain areas on a site that didn’t get much attention (by viewing the heat map), we were able to make changes to our site & test if that made a difference.
