it's super easy to view our studios schedule and see what projects myself and team members will be working on. It allows us to easily coordinate on projects and show our clients our availability to book in future work. It also allows us to overview the hours we have worked for each client and easily bill them for our time.
It can be quite clunky to reorganise projects and can sometimes be confusing to understand the reports section as there is a lot of information to process on the one page.
Float allows us to easily track our work load instead of referring to and from different email chains and allows all our clients and colleagues to have one space where we can view what needs to be done and have a live preview of commitments running through the studio so anyone can check and it will be up to date instead of having to ask around.
Float helps me prioritize my day, week, and even month. I can also see what the junior designers are working on.
Nothing off the top of my head... I'm not adding projects on Float though.
Juggling a bunch of different projects and meeting deadlines. Float makes it easy to plan out months in advance.
Especially in a work from home era, Float makes it easy to see who is available to take on new projects and what everyone is working on.
There aren't any features we dislike on Float!
Time management and scheduling problems!
Does exactly what it needs to do to help me keep track of each day and week, broken down into each project and task within a project. It has all the fields I need, such as how long something will take, a field for additional notes, the project name, and the task name.
It can be a bit slow to open a new or existing task, but that may be more my company's internet speeds than Float itself. I also wish you could see tasks that get deleted from a Float, as things have been accidentally removed multiple times from my schedule (by myself or others) and we have no way of knowing what was there before.
No problems really. Benefits - It's very helpful to visually see how much time you have dedicated to each project as well as what things you are working on for the day. It's also very easy to see at a glance whether you are overbooked for the day so that you or your Project Managers can adjust appropriately.
i love how it keeps me organized and i can see everything laid out.
having to scroll through the other employees to get to my schedule is kind of tedious.
I am able to see which project is important, how long it lasts throughout the week and how long to work on a certain project. It helps me prioritize things better.
This software is extremely easy to use and helpful
To be honest, there is nothing I would improve about it
Time Management, Organization, Scheduling
It is easy to use and the interface is clean and simple.
The iPhone app is clunky and slow. If this was improved the user experience would be much better.
We are using this for booking editors in our post production team for commercial and internal jobs. We can add links to briefs in the notes field which makes life easier and we can create projects using job codes provided from our production team.
It has a simple interface and is very easy for anyone to use. New joiners can jump in straight away. Makes life easier.
Nothing really. We are working on it talking to our accounts package.
Workloads and resourcing.
Able to see the availability of the team.
Sometimes had issues logging in to the web portal
Able to let the team know when I have a low workload, plan on taking leave or when I have no availability.
User-friendly interface. Simple and clean.
More sort capabilities would be helpful.
Snapshot of team members assignments when it comes to travel and PTO-related items
Simple to navigate and very clean interface
Does not save filters, have to reapply each time opening

The dashboard is simple, understandable, and clean. It makes me ease for me to keep track of our daily tasks. recommended!
I have not yet encountered big issue; design and user experience are all good.
It makes me ease for me to keep track of our daily tasks. recommended!
Float works great in allocating and control resources across different projects and service calls.
Would like to see an hour rate associate per resource
Resources are now confirmed and everybody know the status and when resources are available. Works really great
Speed, Ability to quickly amend schedule
sometimes frontend glitches when resizing
productivity of our team easy to use interface
Can see the live schedule of my allocation on the projects / teams. Can view the aggregate report of my past, current, and future allocations. Simple user interface and easy to navigate.
Hard to report the actual incurred time against the scheduled. Sometimes less easy to locate other projects.
View my live schedule and ongoing allocation, helping for planning, scheduling, tracking, reporting, reviewing, and retrospective.
A week-at-a-glance view has been proven as a way of improving individual productivity, time management, and performance -- this is why so many electronic planners and hard-copy planners are organized this way. Having a team view the week at a glance also confers similar benefits, as well as the accurate resourcing of projects, work activities, and the time of those people performing the work.
E-mail notifications could be a touch faster.
I am better able to structure my days by seeing what projects I have in store for the week.I am able to focus on quality time and to stay on the right path.
Ease of integration with Microsoft Outlook Allows for quick review of personnel assignments, what projects and/or milestones they are supporting, to then let managers assign available personnel as needed to other projects and/or milestones.
Integration with inhouse resource management software.
Allows managers to know whom is working on what, and who may be available for assignment - Resource Management.
The fact that's it's extremely intuitive to use and fast to organise my team's workload is a massive help in the design planning meetings. The drag to expand or move playfulness of it and the auto-fill of repetitive job forms really speeds up the whole process. The user friendly UI design is also an added bonus!
None so far. In truth we're only using it for top level time management, and I'm sure there are some great features for managing individual projects from the concept to the finish line.
We were introduced to it by a freelance Project Manager who had used it at her previous workplace. We instantly realised it would be best used for all client facing work planning, so adopted it straight away.
The software looks very sleek and modern. It is also very easy to use
I havent experienced anything bad about the software yet.
It has replaced a very dated spreadsheet and has made life a lot easier
I like most about Float is the user friendliness. Its simple to use and very clear to see what bookings you have in the upcoming weeks. I use it every day and its the main piece of software I use as a Project Office Coordinator organising around 90 peoples planners can slightly chaotic at times but Float makes it that bit easier!
Everything about float is great only one thing I would potentially change is how a 'status' is shown on someones day. Make it slightly for obvious to see rather than a small triangle.
I am solving the problem of having to organise 90 peoples planner with a quick, efficient piece of software.
