Frase is a content optimization software that also works as a chatbot tool, however, both features are sold separately. It also uses AI to optimize content and can reliably improve your content development to help outrank the competition. Frase’s outline builder is known for creating intelligent outlines perfectly optimized for target keywords and FAQs. It has great analytics and comes with real-time topic scoring. Content optimization workflows are included and are scalable depending on business needs. You can also easily import content from URLs and Google Docs can easily be integrated.

I use Frase most frequently for creating content briefs. It has made giving writers I work with a clear set of instructions a breeze, as well as analyzing top competitors. I also love the features Frase offers for optimizing content and the way it incorporates NLP. I use it almost daily.
The file organization system could use a bit of a refresh, and I wish it was a little faster when moving between documents. It's a small thing though compared to the overall power of the tool.
One of the most frequent tasks I do for clients is giving them content briefs. Frase has made this super easy. It also makes it easy to provide clients with quick, simple improvements they can make to existing content to improve search visibility.
The SEO services are better than Surfer but the AI is a crucial addition to the software. The combination of the two is an incredibly powerful combination for any marketing professional.
I wish there were more tools for books or lead magnets than there currently are, but there are workarounds at the moment. Lots of support from the community for these tools.
It's helping me solve the problem of creating articles for SEO and also lead magnets. The data it pulls form the SERPs is really great and the outline feature, along with the AI is incredible.
The thing I like best about Frase is its holistic approach to content marketing. You can literally conduct your entire SEO plan directly from inside Frase with an integrated Google Search Console account. So many marketers start with keyword research and proceed with spam, all the while forgetting why they have a website to begin with. I purpose you start building out your site content with a focus on sales and company message, next, access GSC for keyword improvements, and finally, optimize the content with Frase.io. You can then use Frase's tools to explore new keyword opportunities, get all the research, draft, edit, post, rinse and repeat. Best of all, it's super easy to use!
I wish there was more integration between the SEO data in their "SEO addon" and the artificial intelligence. The AI could learn from raw data how to prioritize headings and questions, and it should be able to detect, prioritize, and remove duplicate titles, otherwise, well, it's not very intelligent :) I wish they would prioritize the AI to make their initial product better (research, briefs, outlines) rather than investing too much in AI writing features. The process workflow needs improving too, they have "outlines" before "briefs," and that doesn't make any sense. Outlines should be created using data from the content briefs.
Content marketing is handled 90% by Frase, because of this, we're rapidly AND EASILY creating strategic spam-free content that ranks. My writers are producing better content at quicker turnarounds thanks to this technology.
Frase's artificial intelligence-powered writing has been effective in automating content generation, such as content briefs and competitor research. Their customer service is not only helpful but personable as well.
It would be nice if we could have unlimited AI writing without the add-on.
Content creation and SEO research have been much more efficient.
Very easy to use, especially generating blog outline and generating the content from the h2 and h3 tags using AI writer with the community tools
Nothing that I can think of. Frase meets my writing requirements
I was heavily dependent on freelance copy writers for my blog until last month. Now with Frase AI I get SEO optimized content that needs very minimum tweaking
Besides being an affordable tool for small cpy, it's set of tools is not only impressive right from the batch. I'm justv two months on the go with it, and already they have made public a new bunch of add-ons that facilitate and deepen my grip on my content writing. Having been forced by the pandemic to have to write all my content on my own now, it is now as if I'm again surrounded by a bunch of coworkers giving me new ideas on what to write AND how to write it best suitable for going up the ranks. And guess what: even in GERMAN !
Honestly: nothing. They are giving good (and short!) video intros into their tools. They contact you for help without pestering you all the time. And if you need help, they're just there.
As described above, having to write all on my own now, in a niche market, my range of contents gets wider, as they propose new and other questions users are searching for. Like Ask the public but with more depth, as they are showing you the best ranking contents behind those questions, and propose even to rewrite it with their AI.
It is a powerful tool for generating high quality, informative and dynamic online content for my blogs. It feels like the Future is at your fingertips.
So far, I have not found any significant downsides. Fact-checking AI content seems obvious, but the quality and quantity of output surely outways a bit of time spent checking.
Headlines, titles, blog topic outlines, SERPs for subject topics and keywords. Having so much information at your fingertips is outstanding. The community templates help generate helpful content.
I use the automated brief for every brief that we do, and we've done more than 60 blogs using these briefs and a copywriter to base their blog on it. It cuts the time to do a brief down to a few minutes, where before it would take me about half an hour or more. Then you can share a link to the editable doc where the copywriter can see the brief and start writing, checking the optimization score while they write to see if they're including all the keywords and topics you want. We also use the SERP scanner to optimize existing blogs every so often, checking the topic scores and competing blogs for things we can improve.
Sometimes it needs a little more guidance to add relevant keywords if they can be interpreted in multiple ways. So it's good to check the brief to make changes if needed.
I was spending a lot of time doing research to send briefs to the copywriters, and Frase cut this down by more than 200%. The benefits we realized is first of all a huge time save per week. The blogs we published and optimized using Frase.io have since started ranking for multiple #1 positions within our domain, sending in relevant traffic that converts.
I like how fast you can do research based on topics & popular questions and how easy it is to optimize content against top articles. Also, love the AI powered chat bots - the Answer Engines! They are easy to implement and site visitors love them!
It would be great if you could compare content from two urls side by side.
I research and create SEO optimized blogs and newsletters for clients very fast. I also implement intelligent answer bots (Answer Engines) into websites using DUDA platform. Frase integration with Drift works great when chatting to a real person is desired. We have implemented an answer engine into a website to answer COVID-related questions in addition to the website own questions/answers. Site users are very pleased to find all the information they need in one place!
The content briefs and optimisation tool have streamlined our whole approach to content creation, allowing us to produce better-optimised content, pre-publish, with greater confidence that we're giving search engines every opportunity to reward us for topic proximity and reader value.
There's not much I don't like about Frase. Looking forward to the UX and UI develop and improve over time.
We've taken more responsibility and onus away from clients, in creating guidance and briefs for writers, and can now offer improved services around content optimisation.
5/5 stars for Customer Service, Tool usability, SEO optimization, writing, and idea generating. It's really that good.
Sometimes I could use more notes that pop up to help you know what step would work best, next. Which tool should I use in the software to get x result and a how to video link right on the feature. It would save time and quickly jog my memory with how to use it and get better myself.
I write several blogs and have used countless tools. So far, Frase has offered the best solution to instantly writing SEO-optimized content. The tool can get you 60-80% of the way done in an article with the AI writer and H2/H3 articles that it pulls from. This is a huge competitive advantage.
I struggle writing content for my site and this has made it easier to develop strong articles from the resources available. I have avoided writing because I would get stuck after the first paragraph and Frase has helped reduce that feeling. I tell everyone about this tool whenever they need some content help.
There isn't much I could say that is negative about this tool. I have enjoyed it after writing a few articles. The SEO-addon is extra but I feel there are other tools and keyword planner that can provide that information without having to use the one provided by Frase.
I am solving content writing for my blog. I am able to provide thoughtful and in-depth content that could take me months into days.
It connects directly to google search console and gives actionable recommendations, identifying quick wins which can te=hen be executed using the AI writer and much more.
Nothing to dislike here, just a bit of a learning curve as we had never used any such tool in the past.
Monitoring content improvement opportunities and taking the right actions.
Gives great H2s, KWs, and content ideas. I enjoy enhancing the reference content I find to improve my own. The upsides are that it's easy to use, easy to optimize content, and fast. I don't find myself waiting around for long loading times, which is great. I write a lot of content in a day, so this tool helps tremendously.
Some sites don't load properly. This isn't a huge issue, but it's a bit confusing as to why some of the imported content won't load, even though the URL is structured similarly to other URLs.
It helps to make content writing go more smoothly. It works for all types of content, from legal issues to medical content. Basically, it provides a very workable framework for the end product.
Researching the Internet so you can make your content optimized for the SEO Gods is FUN - said no one ever! Frase.io still does not make it fun but makes it a whole lot easier and quicker so I can get back to doing more fun things. Okay, seriously though, Frase.io allows me to click my mouse a few times and I will have the tools & information I need to begin constructing my content. If I were not such a control freak, I would be able to quickly create a content brief and hand it over to a writer to craft the content for me. One thing that many do not know is that Frase.io continues to add functionality. Just recently they added an SEO tool and more recently an AI writer. If Frase.io stopped adding tools right now I would still believe this is my best investment in all of 2021.
Frase.io is not the most user-friendly tool - at first. Most of the time I'm pretty good at bypassing any manuals and get right into using any new application, not so with Frase.io That being said, there is this place called YouTube that with a bit of searching, answered any questions I had about how to get going with Frase.io. Plus, Frase.io has several bite-sized tutorials on their YT Channel that really help out.
The biggest problem Frase.io has solved for me is the time-suck I was dealing with pre-Frase.io. The time it took me to research for a topic then copy & paste snippets of text here and there and search some more was enough to discourage the most strict workaholic. Frase.io allows me to enter some text and push a couple of buttons and there is my research all in one place and with the additional tools on hand, I can have a complete and optimized article ready to go within an hour. That same article with even less quality would take me 3 or 4 days before Frase.io.
The depth of the content outlines and briefs generated with just one click. It would otherwise take me at least 15 minutes or more if I were to do it manually.
Not really dislike, but something that could make it even more valuable: localised keywords based on the country I select. Believe this will be available in the future.
Main problems: manual and time-consuming content research. With Frase, all of that is automated plus there's even references available based on competitors.
Frase is an excellent content research product at an affordable price point. Customer support is also very courteous and helpful. I recommend Frase highly!
I wish that their AI writer was stronger.
Research
The SEO feature and the content briefing are very helpful
German search results are not always accurate
I was able to maximize my workflow and copywriting output by the factor 10 - sometimes even more
For me, it is about data. Frase gives you the data. It scans the top websites and lets you know what you need to do to be competitive in your article. before Frase I did this manually!! No Frase does it automatically and better than I did it.
There is not much if anything. I use Frase daily; I interact in the Facebook group and as yet I have no genuine concern or grievance with the product or the team.
Better blog content, better optimised content for SE, for customers on my website. In today's SEO world you have to write for both man and machine Frase gives you a fantastic streamlined platform t do this.
When it comes to reviewing your text or writing new optimized content, nothing beats Frase.io. It is simple to use, and you can share your work with anyone at no cost. At Prostarseo.com, we service over 100 SEO clients without any long-term contract. We have tested most tools available out there and always come back to SEMRUSH for tracking and strategy and Frase.io for writing and editing content. I personally wrote a 5000 words blog recently in less than 2 hours with Frase.io. The AI is one of the best on the market and the price of the full package is truly competitive.
The tools could be improved 4 ways: 1- Make the AI better for other languages than English. 2- Have the opportunity to add our own list of entities and LSI in the optimized section. 3- Rank the topics in order of importance in % and propose a zone where to use them. (h1, h2, etc.) 4- Improve the SERP scores by taking point 3 into consideration.
By using Frase.io, you can achieve better optimization of your content in a much faster way than with other tools. The use of the software increases the productivity of the team and the quality of the recommended topics is unparalleled.
It's really fast to create outlines and optimize content. Everything is clearly arranged, making it quickly accessible. Frase offers a lot of information on a single site, so there is no endless clicking for gathering information. Everything is in one place, the Optimizer function is really really great, so far the best I've seen, and I tried a lot of different tools. It's also the best for creating an outline. Frase gathers the first 20 SERP entries and arranges them. So it is easy to collect all the data you need for creating your own post. Another tool I really like is the import function to optimize existing content. There is also an Google Search Console connector, which is really handy for even more data. 10 out of 10, thanks!
The Frase AI writer is not as strong as other AI writers. I don't use it on my Frase subscription.
Frase helped me create Outline like a pro. Fast and quick, with all the information I ever needed on one single site. I also optimized some of my old articles with Frase.io and they rank in Google now as well!
Frase has saved me a lot of time in optimizing Insurance-related website content for clients. The AI writer is its best feature!
Honestly, there are no weak points for me.
Being able to analyze what my competitors are doing with their content has enabled me to rapidly deploy SEO-optimized content that outranks them!
It's pretty amazing to use Frase when I'm creating new content for online courses or writeups. Frase pulls the top results from Google, but it also pulls related questions from Quora and other sites...and then the editor lets me create an automatic content brief from the content that I want to include. Not having to do all the research from scratch each time is a HUGE time saver and pulls things I likely would have missed.
There is a bit of a learning curve. There is so much data it can sometimes be easy to get a little overwhelmed. But the UI is decent and regularly getting better.
The main thing Frase solves for me is research for content. My time spent finding material for a topic has gone way down. Their SEO Addon option also has an impressive AI writer that really helps with initial drafts and wording ideas. Given that writing isn't my favorite thing to do, Frase has removed a lot of the struggle.
- customer service is impeccable - I seldom use the write-for-me tool but my favorite is the optimize feature - I appreciate how Frase helped me become a better SEO writer - they listen to customer feedback and do something about it - the Facebook group community is very professional, and a safe place to get help without being "bullied" by mr/ms. know it alls - I got my Frase Certified Expert Badge last month, which is a great accomplishment for me
- my billing cycle which is actually my fault, The timing is off because I took advantage of the half-off deal of their SEO add-on 2 days before my payday. - there are glitches, especially when the top 10 SERP results include forums. But often, providing the background context solves the problem - I had trouble looking for the Log Out button, but was too shy to ask.
I write blog posts in the pet niche. I love using Frase because it compliments the other tools I use for writing. Furthermore, I was able to gain organic search traffic from zero volume keywords because of the Optimize feature. As a service provider, I am afraid of AI writing tools because I'm scared to lose my job. But I realized that it shouldn't be the case. Frase has helped me become a better SEO writer. I hope that others would feel the same.
Creating content outlines and briefs is so easy with Frase. I actually enjoy planning content and drafting outlines now.
The Answer Engine limit could be set a little higher. It's pretty easy to burn through if your site is getting a lot of hits.
Speed and quality of content production. It's been a massive challenge and this is the first tool that, so far, seems to have solved the problem
I'm in love with Frase! I never thought I'd say that about a piece of software, but Frase.io has made such a big difference in my business that I can't imagine life without it. I've been with them from early days and seen it come along in leaps and bounds. I used to spend hours researching and writing content briefs, but Frase has made it so much easier. I can now do it in minutes, and the quality is excellent. The AI writer is really, really good at generating quality copy with a click. The best part is that I can now track how well each piece of content performs, so we can always be improving. Oh, and the Facebook group is brilliant, they are always sharing new ideas and templates that I have to try out! And when it comes to getting quality content, there's just nothing better out there. I've tried a lot of different content creation tools and services, and none of them compare to Frase.io. This tool is changing the content game, and I can't recommend it enough. Try it for yourself and see how you like it. I'm sure you'll be just as impressed as I am!
Nothing really, but my least favorite thing about Frase is that I have to take my content and check it for plagiarism elsewhere, then manually put the final version into Wordpress. Would be nice to have this all in one place please!
Frase helps me generate high-converting content in minutes, not hours like it used to take me. Their copy is top-notch quality and has helped me save money by not having to outsource my content writing needs. The optimization feature is fantastic for keeping my content at the top of Google's search results. And the analytics have been eye-opening in terms of seeing new opportunities.
Amazong contebt produced thru various input options. I soecially live the ay it analyses our input, background context and specially tonns of amazing templates to create content.
To be honest, nothing. Just there is expection for more and more awesome featurees ro be available. As a user, I could only expect more and more templates.
Developing fastert content and research is the best thing that happened after using frase. Using power of templates create. A lot of new potentials in content was created using frase and this solved the problem of conetent and idea creation. Frase also helped to to create amazing marketing copies that I use in landing pages and CTA
I love how Frase makes it so easy to research and write content. Frase literally saves me hours and helps me write better content. You can also build a super scalable SEO process around Frase. Their brief tool is the best that I've seen. I also love everything that they are doing with AI and tracking of content. Frase is really starting to blow some of the competitors away.
The only thing that I dislike (which is very minor) is the process of getting content into WordPress. Frase provides you with several export options. But a direct integration would be nice. Or, some way download the document as a word doc. As of typing this you can download the doc as a PDF, HTML, etc This is not a deal-breaker though. It's just a nice to have type of thing.
I'm using Frase to help me with the following: - Speed up time researching content, creating breifs - Writing SEO optimized content and adding in all of my secondary keywords - Optimizing existing content - Tracking content and finding new content to optimize When I really start to double down on SEO in the future, Frase will be key in helping me build a scaleable process with other writers.
SEO seemed like a foreign concept to me, as I hadn't worked in or near copywriters. I wanted to create unique prospecting content to support my role as an account manager and Frase has helped in 2 ways. It is an educational tools - by that I mean you can experiment and make mistakes while finding your own content creation rhythm. Second, the tool has developed at the front and back-end. More power and easier to use. Crazy combination! I should add a third - the Frase community. Generous collection of experts and amateurs trying to create better content.
Not a dislike, but Frase isn't designed for sellers, and as such needs to be adapted for the provocative selling approaches and business development content I try to create.
I need to write unique and personalised content in my business development activities, and Frase is a key component of my writing toolkit. When I write a draft, I immediately use Frase to help me refine the messaging.
