GetResponse is a terrific tool to send mass emails to groups like ours, an alumni network of thousands of people from my former high school. Messages are scheduled, and go out as promised.
There are a few quirks. Editing a template could be a little easier. Also, I should receive notification when a recipient opts to no longer allow contact from me. When trying to keep track of a few thousand people, more information is always helpful. When an email is invalid, it is dropped from my mailing list, but I don't receive notification of it.
The obvious benefit is the ability to reach a large group of people in one shot.

I have been using GetResponse for several years. It is easy to use, and I don't really want to make a switch. I'm not sure if there is anything better and as easy to use in this price range.
The only other software I am considering is Active Campaign. I know some people have switched to that. I think you can do tags and assign people to different categories easily. You can also do automation. Maybe you can do this with GR, but I haven't.
