I enjoy creating my mailing list. I wish it were an easier process but it's not.
Too many emails explaining how to instead of actual tutorials
Mailing list
I personally like that there's many features to customize your messages that you send out to your email list. Other softwares similar to AWeber didn't have as many features like this as AWeber does.
I'm aware that this is a common practice for softwares similar to AWeber, but I personally don't like the tiered pricing. To me, it feels misleading when it comes to the price because say I had 1000 email subscribers, but then a month later I have 5000, I'll be charged more than the month before. Personally, I don't like that.
AWeber allows me to reach my audience easily all in one software program.
I think what I like best is that it's very easy to use. It's not a complicated software
The RSS to email templates are poor and they can’t be edited using Aweber’s standard drag and drop email builder.
Segmenting data is relatively easy and you can use both field contents and user activity (email opens, links clicked etc.) to create your segments.
Features that allow you to correspond and send e-mails to your mail list easily, user friendly.
Limited templates and fonts. Limited design options.
Customer communication and sales. More engagement with customers regularly with minimal effort.
it had good automation at the time of trying it
There were limited template options to choose from that had nice pre designed designs.
collecting and nurturing leads
The core functions of the product do work and it does do what it says on the tin.
There could be more features added that other programs have. Also the UI is quite badly designed ascetically
Very easy to reach a broad blast of customer .
The ease with which you can can customize and preview the appearance of newsletters with colors and graphics
The interface was slightly confusing at first and took a bit of exploring and trial and error to understand all of the features
Email reminders and newsletter updates are simplified and streamlined. The benefits of writing all of the monthly emails at the beginning of the month and scheduling them to release later save so much time.
I liked that Aweber was easy to use when I was first looking for an autoresponder. The $1 first month was a nice way to test the waters before making a longer commitment. I liked the email automation capabilities that it brought with it. It was nice to be able to automate communication with my list.
At a certain point it got complicated to use for multiple segementations that i wanted to put people on. The tagging system isn't quite as developed as other email software providers.
Aweber gave me a foothold in the email marketing world. It gave me a list which allows me to communicate with thousands of people with ease. It's allowed me to automate email correspondence with my audience .
Aweber has an approachable, easy-to-use format for building newsletters. Sending to multiple lists is a huge plus.
The user interface is clunky, and it's harder to design a good-looking newsletter than with MailChimp and other platforms.
Sending mass-newsletters to multiple lists at once and rolling out new products with automation.
I like that it makes it easy to send a broadcast out to a group.
The drafting/sending is a little clunky.
Save time from sending out individual emails.
Ease of use, good layout, good customer service
Pricing, needs more features, could use more options
Email sufficiently and automated emails
I really like the low cost, and the help materials are also good. The best feature of all is the unlimited emails.
I would have really liked to have a trial before being forced to buy the service. There is also no Google analytics available and that's a big deal to me.
I solved the limited email marketing reach by using AWeber.
It allows us to be very creative and unique. The presentations are eye-catching.
So many features and can be very confusing and overwhelming.
Brief presentations for clients during internal/external meetings.
I like how it's easy, one pricing plan, and integration with so many other things
Haven't been using it too long to dislike anything yet
I needed to integrate PayPal easily with an email provider
Aweber created a free, 7-day email course called Your first 500 Subscribers. I learned everything I needed to know to grow my email list organically, from creating sign up forms that get results to driving more traffic to my company's website.
No dislikes at this time. I am satisfied with this product and service it provides.
I am growing my subscriber lists, driving more traffic, & learning new marketing strategies.
I can set up different lists easily and create nice looking forms with a choice of colours and fonts. It's easy to create a draft broadcast from a previous email.
There are some features which seem a little complicated, and I guess I need to spend more time to learn all the features.
I can collect emails to build lists for different segments. The benefits are I've set up a series of emails to be sent automatically, and this has helped with keeping people interested and eventually becoming a customer.
Customer support with Aweber was easy, most of the time they were just a phone call away and were able to resolve issues promptly
There is little flexibility with the email sending system. It is a very basic timed delay and not much extra customization on top of that.
Being able to send mass emails to our subscriber list was invaluable to our marketing
Easy to use email responder. Does everything I need it to with minimal fuss. Never had anything go wrong.
I have no complaints, everything is very straight forward
Sending out emails and autoresponders has never been more simple
Customer Support - it seems that they are investing in this and the AMs are interested in learning about a client's business and how they can grow their product. It's a luxury in the crowded ESP field to have the ability to have a phone conversation with someone - much less, someone who is aware of your email strategy and your business.
The product would benefit from development. I get the impression that they've listened to customers about their specific priorities and requirements. There are some mid-level tools and functionality that I expect to see in the next 2-3 months that will definitely help the product. They would also benefit from more integrations. There are a lot of integrations out there, 250 OK, ReturnPath, Litmus, EmailonAcid. The list functionality could also be evolved so that data is less siloed.
We need to communicate to our subscribers via email. We don't need to do anything too fancy but appreciate that what AWeber offers, works. We've realized benefits in terms of return traffic to our products and deliverability.
You could create webforms that you could integrate in your website to get subscribers and have an email automatically sent to them.
Inability to customise spacing in emails
A software that would have them in a database automatically once they submitted their info through a webform
