I don't like godaddy but unfortunately they appear to be an efficient one stop shop for my clients. They get their hosting and domains directly through Godaddy and are able to provide me with logins and from there we are all satisfied. From what I can tell they are competitive with pricing as well.
Well elephant poaching is on the top of my list as a deal breaker. . Customer service is ultimately unhelpful especially when you get into more of the techy stuff. Godaddy site builder is a complete joke and I have been forced to work with in these awful parameters a handful of times.
Creating websites for various businesses including occasional redesigns. Setting up email accounts, upgrading etc.
I used GoDaddy (or Go-D, as I called it early on) to buy my first domains. After all, that was the first service I knew to purchase them. (Must have been those commercials.) Anyway, GoDaddy is serviceable for domains, but its interface (and customer service) are a bit clunky. For what it is, though, it's great for what it is, but you'll quickly outgrow it as you become more web savvy.
When I first signed up for my website, I signed up for the domain with GoDaddy, and for the hosting services with it as well. I soon learned that the hosting prices went up. (Way up.) I also learned that the founder likes shooting elephants and posting the videos online. That was the end of GoDaddy for me.

I like how easy it is to get started and use the service.
Their purchasing process is designed to always try to upsell you on other services you might not need. Also the cost of domain is way over many other of their competitors and does not include free WHOIS protection. Their hosting service is not very powerful.
None
Use GoDaddy to buy already registered domains and sites. For regular web hosting, try something else.
GoDaddy is a traditional company that spend big money to attract customers in bulk. As a regular customer you will be facing problems once you log into the admin area. Since the admin area is not intuitive, even the simplest task such as (un)locking or transfering a domain name will be a difficult one.
We were trying to buy a domain name that has already been registered. GoDaddy served pretty well as a middle man. Unfortunately, they charge a recurring fee for access to registered domains. We didn't realize this, so we paid without using the service. Refund was not possible.
Go daddy has always been price competitive but sometimes you get what you pay for.
they make is difficult to find tools with there dumbed down interfaces
web hosting, corporate email
Godaddy is cheap enough for the domain name and website building and hosting.
I think the website builder is so difficult to use and the newer version is too limited. By now a giant like this should be a lot more user-friendly.
Website domain and website creation and hosting
Domain purchase was inexpensive and simple
Hosting is very expensive compared to other sites who offer a lot more and a better site builder for the cost
I needed a website which is why I originally used godaddy
Currently don't like anything this was an inherited vendor and are awaiting end of contract.
Site is not user friendly and get so many emails from them can never tell what the action item is I'm supposed to be taking.
Email and domains
Go Daddy has spent some time and investment at making a simple user interface and they appear to be constantly honing their user experience. They do offer value with their promotional pricing, too.
Constant up-selling and add-ons detract from the experience, however. Their support is also somewhat lacking. They appear to be immovable and unaccommodating in some regards.

Our favorite part was how they utilized photographers for their shoots to update our social media pages.
The downside was that our account manager wasn't too involved once we weren't new anymore. At least that's how it felt.
Unfortunately, we weren't able to solve many issues, which is why we left the platform.
The only thing I can think of is the price. GoDaddy is very price competitive.
The performance of their managed WordPress service is abysmal.
Their GoDaddy pro program is great. Solving the need of updating many Wordpress sites at once and backing up sites.
If you really aren't well-versed in searching for a domain, this is easy enough to handle. Type in the name you want, see if it's available and, boom, you're on your way.
Once you are in for a domain, there's a strong chance you may use other GoDaddy products. I'd rather stick with someone with good customer support and billing practices that don't leave you wondering if you got a good deal.
I know what I'm doing, so I don't need this. You can generally get a good initial rate, but the more you know about this, the less you want to deal with GoDaddy.
I'm a horror novelist. I use godaddy for every single aspect of my business. Work phone lines, emails, website and web hosting. Marketing, the whole deal. I like the convenience of doing everything through the same site. The website builder, you're on your own. I recommend hiring a professional because if you call them for help, they give you the run around and don't help.
They have a nasty habit of automatically renewing subscriptions, even if you said not to auto renew. Then they take 5 to 7 business days to refund you. They try to rip you off any way they can.
Trying to make more book sales, but I have ended up doing most of it myself.
Allows the user to promote their business and products in a user friendly way. The system is very straight forward
Too straight forward with limitations that doesn’t show all products
Marketing our products
It's easy to buy domains and the support is 24/7.
The hosting is unreliable and not a good value.
I like GoDaddy for buying domains for clients. They make this simple.
The initial pricing along with freedom to manage my DNS settings are nice. I like that there are plenty of additional services and features I can add on to.
The service is overpriced and though there are lots of features, which is appreciated, I feel like the entire time I have been with this service has been about the upsale. I receive way too many "deals" that are not related to me since I am not a first time customer, which is very disappointing. Also, their interface is simply not very clean and very confusing.
I am using the service as a DNS host and their uptime and service itself has been very good.
GoDaddy is very easy to sign up for, and somewhat straightforward to use.
The customer service at GoDaddy isn't very good. I've contacted them a few times for different issues (hosting, domain, and hosting/domain transfer) and I've had difficulty and lengthy call times on each occasion.
Due to the difficulty of the hosting/domain transfer, GoDaddy still hosts my domain name despite having moved to a new hosting provider.
I like the best their interface, their support if you are going to purchase. The support will be awesome and great if you are assuring that you have to purchase things in nearby future.
They own all the rights... your domain names can be removed from account a month before they expire.... They say unlimited storage or up to some 200 MBs.
Many people who are experienced never talk good about godaddy...I was wondering this as a beginner but now after staying 5 years with them...I have the same view. Godaddy is for small business ...may be not for serious.
Great way to purchase and organize your domains.
Support is very unknowledgeable and unhelpful, they take sometimes hours to resolve a problem, and communicate in very broken english that is difficult to understand.
DNS configuration
Nothing. GoDaddy service was appaling, the prices were too high, and it was almost impossible to transfer a domain out without calling support and waiting an eternity with the same short loop of super annoying "music".
Domain renewals are excessively high; you'll pay 300%+ more than competitors. Transferring a domain out is impossible with the website (very convenient business practice to keep you with them?) Support is difficult to deal with. When you eventually get through after an hour-long wait on hold. Difficult as the support person does not have access to areas they need to support you; they don't understand the request or do not respond in the case of email support.
The problem I was looking to solve with GoDaddy was my domain portfolio. Easy to register. However, the renewal and privacy prices are severely over the top, and I decided to move the portfolio to Cloudflare (I highly recommend them over GoDaddy for pricing, service and support - compare for yourself). This is where the real problems occurred. Transferring the domains out of GoDaddy without contacting support by phone is impossible. This takes hours; literally hours of my time have been wasted trying to transfer my domains out of their overpriced system, which seems to break with "unknown errors" when you're trying to transfer a domain out. That's awfully suspicious; it's as if they make it difficult on purpose to ensure 99% of customers don't bother going through the hassle. I highly recommend ANY other company for your domain portfolio. Save yourself time and money.
