I have been using Namecheap for years and the most important thing for me is that I know I can trust them with my domains, and that their behavior will always be fair, and that has always been the case for me.
The control panel is well structured and designed, but in some cases it did take me a lot of time and navigation to find the functionality I was looking for. This aspect can be improved.
I use them to register domains for business and personal use. The prices are fair, they have great tools for checking and purchasing domains, and it's easy to maintain the domains once purchased. I have complete piece of mind with relation to my domains.
A few months back I bought a domain on Namecheap and I must say that the UI is user-friendly. During the purchase, I encountered a problem and right away I was able to connect to customer care through live chat and they fixed my problem. It also has an option for domain auto-renewals and It will auto-renew my domain before the domain expiry date.
The DNS management panel of Namecheap domains might be confusing for beginners. The UI of DNS Panel should be improved
Through Namecheap domains, I can buy domains for managing my different businesses. They also offer different coupon codes to get instant discounts, unlike other platforms. They also offer domain privacy free(forever) for domains unlike other platforms.
Namecheap is both affordable and easy to use. I can find what I need at a fair price and easily manage it.
Namecheap is starting to spread out a bit, they need to stay focused on their core business to keep it the best around.
I just need a central spot to buy domains and manage them. Namecheap does that without a bloated interface with irrelevant information.
Affordable, secure domain registration and renewals.
Simple interface can make it difficult find advanced features.
I use Namecheap to register, renew, and maintain all my domain names.
Super clean and clear domain dashboard. I like having all my tools on one screen.
They sometimes "recommend" services in the middle of your list of domains, kind of like an ad.
None.
Their name is very fitting; they are indeed very cheap! They offer coupons on social media regularly too. Support is great via LiveChat.
There is honestly nothing that I dislike; they're incredible!
We now have a registrar that is competent, fast, and cheap - to buy domain names from
I have been a namecheap customer for quite few years and I love the fact they have affordable prices, an awesome support system, they offer free whois and DNS management. And yes they don't kill me with their renewal prices.
Talking about domains I don't have anything to dislike. I have been using them for years now and the have been good and helpful.
Namecheap offers one of the best competitive prices for a huge variety of domains spread across various tld's. They run some great offers every year during blackfiday/cybermonday. They also have various discounted promotions from time to time. The management dashboard area is simple to use. Overall it's my number one choice when registering domains.
Keeping aside the usual stuff like the ease of use, excellent customer service with quick turnaround and easy integration, what I like the best is the fact that they provide WHOISGUARD for free for most domains (.com, .net, .org, etc). This is extremely useful.
To be entirely honest, I haven't yet found anything that I dislike about this service yet.
This is my one-stop shop for all my domain purchases. I currently own 3 and all are through Namecheap!
They have great prices on domains and setting up DNS servers is pretty easy. Whenever I had problems it was easy to figure out what to do with a simple google search. They have basic settings and advanced settings as well and most things can be accomplished with their basic settings.
There isn't much to dislike except sometimes the loading time on their website is slow.
It has allowed me to quickly and easily buy a large number of domains for, what I can tell, is the cheapest price available and to easily set up URL redirects. It has also enabled me to list my domains for sale easily rather than going through a third party website.
I love namecheap because they always seem to have deals for transfers and use domain registrations, support is responsibly quick , I love the payment options that they offer, a wide range of payment options. A good list of tld on offer as well
Support can sometimes take sometime if the issue needs to be escalated, sometimes they decide to act on illegitimate copyright notices and suspend the domain as well as the account as a whole, I think they need to look in to see how legitimate those requests are
We have multiple of our domains registered through namecheap, quick and instant domain registrations
Namecheap has been my go-to product for domain and DNS management. I love the idea that I can manage everything in one place. Also, comparing this product to other registrars, I can proudly say that I can sleep better at night knowing that my domains are safe.
It’s really hard to even distinguish something I don’t like about the product as it works.
Domain management, reducing the clutter and easy way of managing DNS.
The price. Seriously, cheap being in their name isn't a joke. I shopped around for domains for a few development projects and their introductory offer and continued pricing could not be beaten. The processing time for domain updates is quick compared to previous companies I have gone through. They automatically enforce two factor authentication. They offer a very affordable whois blocking solution.
Their dashboard for domain management could use a little more polish or navigation hints. I feel like every time I visit I have to look up how to set up a new record again for my domain whereas that should be one of the key features I'm pointed to.
Cheap hosting for trivial domain entities. Whois lookup protection.
I think it offers good products and services, I only use the domain service. It is very easy to use and configure.
Sometimes they send too many emails to report that a service is due.
It offers economic domains and customers like that.
Namecheap makes it very easy for you to manage your domain names and other services. It also makes it very clear on their site if you have domains or services that are about to expire. Configuring domain forwarding on their site is also very convenient and easy to set up. Competitive prices!
Nothing! I haven't had an issue with Namecheap in the four years that I've been using it to host my domains!
I wanted to transfer my domain to another host, as well as purchase another domain.
I had all my domains with GoDaddy but couldn't take them anymore. GoDaddy's MO is to pull you in with great offers in the beginning, but when it's time for renewal they don't offer you any discounts and make you pay an exorbitant full retail price. Ironically, I'd gone to GoDaddy after getting gouged by companies like VeriSign and Web.com but GoDaddy ended up being just like them. I caught wind of NameCheap on several discussion forums. Turns out a lot of other folks were just as fed up with GoDaddy as I was. People spoke of the great service and the low prices--their standard prices were lower than what GoDaddy used to charge with a discount code, and they offer monthly emails with additional discounts to boot. I was skeptical at first, especially with the word "cheap" in their name. But I was pleasantly surprised. Their transfer process is very easy to understand and follow and their prices are great. I would comment on their customer service, but their processes were so easy to follow that I didn't even need to contact them.
You do need to have a certain amount of expertise in DNS to manage your domain names with their service. Since I'm somewhat of an expert at DNS I can't say I "disliked" this, but I can see how some might.
The need is simple--as a small business my budget is small to begin with, and I don't have the money nor the patience to pay bloated prices for features I don't need. I ended up saving hundreds of dollars by switching from GoDaddy to NameCheap with no loss in service.
One thing I like about Namecheap is that everything comes under one roof. You can search for domain, purchase them and configure everything quickly within minutes. Their minimalistic control panel with documented features allows you to set up and configure multiple domain name without even knowing anything. Their support is great as well. Their customer care is top notch with a friendly and helpful attitude towards their work. Response was fast and problems were solved quickly. Their site also allows you to use codes for discount while purchasing domains, which means that you're paying a full year of domain name for less than a cup of coffee! They've managed to bring everything under the roof for a new user like me.. Furthermore, I've been a customer with them for about 3 years and will continue to use their product for as long as possible.
Despite having a simple control panel, the control panel looks outdated. The fonts are too small and the UI just doesn't seem appealing at all. They had an overhaul recently for the design of the website, but not much changes were done.
I am just a student that is trying to build up my portfolio. Throughout the past few years that I have use Namecheap, they have never once failed my in regards to using the domain. Problems were solved quickly and absolutely no problems with any domain name routing etc. Everything works as per stated on their website.
Cool company and culture. Namcheap has a nice interface and fair pricing.
Not much to dislike, though some domain extensions could be more comparable in price.
Domain name acquisition for my agency and clients.
Namecheap is a great source for cheap domain names. It usually has the best rates of web hosts.
Namecheap is great for what it is. It delivers.
Use it solely for purchasing domains. Have found it very affordable.
User Interface Competitive Pricing 2 Step Verification 24x7 Live chat Free WHOIS Protection
I don't see any downsides of using namecheap, but..it will be great if they can offer more discounts like go daddy for New domain registrations
Simple User Interface to Manage Domains
Good, affordable prices, easy to use, experienced domain registrar
For some domains cheaper alternatives are available, no EU hosting for e-mails
Register most of my domain names
