Huge selection of available extensions from the main ones to local and regional TLD. Large selection of payment methods including crypto.
There are slightly cheaper solutions for the main extensions like .com, .net etc.
Namecheap helped buy domains/extensions from foreign countries in Europe.
The low prices are a solid pull to why I stay with Namecheap, year after year. The interface is straightforward to use.
The customer service seems like it's offshore of the USA, but it is always available, which is nice.
I wanted an easy way to manage my domains and have effective pricing.
I like the ease of buying a domain name, as well as the simple domain organization tools.
Namecheap's EasyWP, while easy integrated with a domain, has some issues with uptime. The FTP is also inaccessible with EasyWP.
I use NameCheap to host all of my domains, personal and professional. It's very easy to add new domain names and keep them organized.
Easy to use, transparent pricing, no hidden fees, no intrusive follow-up email advertising
Does not offer loyalty promotions and is often not as competitively priced as alternatives
Looking for a reliable domain provider. Benefited from having excellent customer support
I've had some times the occasional website went down and really just was only during a server update but their customer support has been very very proactive with reaching out to me and advising me that "your site's gonna go down since we're doing maintenance, but you will be well compensated for that matter"(the reason they do this is because they want to improve their service I guess),also quality of offered services like speed of connection is far the best in industry(Stellar Plan Plus),do not mention about all kind of promotion's.
Temporarily issue's when it comes to login and need to getting new password(happened to me at least 6 times),also not quite clear renewing cycle's system(still not readable in compare with old one) as well-you can't cancel just a few days before its expiry date as they want wait up to 65 days, which is nonsense, because sometimes customer cannot decide it's still being interested of keeping some domain two or three months before the expiration date.
Getting domains for cheap prices, hosting problems
I like the customer service, it is easier to navigate then my old hosting software GoDaddy. The cost is better in my opinion and coupons work more often.
I dislike it because my websites are slow now having added a third domain. I think a bit more guidance with how many domains can realistically be hosted on my package would have been helpful. I will probably get another package to host it seperately.
Not having to have all the tech answers, assistance with hosting, transferring domains.
Generally works without hassle, prices not too bad (renewals not crazy high like others)
Sometimes has problems with .ca. Payment system is clunky and creates issues with potential to not use credit you have.
domain registrar that we can stick with for the long term. Don't have to switch to someone else to keep reasonable prices.
The best thing i like about namecheap is its payment options. I have been using namecheap for more than 2 years to host one of my domains and everytime I pay using bitcoin.
I don't use it often since I only use it to host one domain which does not even have a website. Though the name of the site is namecheap, the domains costs the same as any other website and sometimes it feels it is more expensive.
domain hosting with bitcoin
*sometimes* They are actually cheaper than say, Go Daddy. But pretty much no. I can almost always save with Go daddy.
They do not live up to their name 75% of the time
There isnt any real benefit for me, usually if I get stuck using name cheap its because my client has already purchased their domain and its a MAJOR pain to move a domain once its registered and purchased elsewhere.
In General the support is good, are solve the technical problems.
The redemption fee is exorbitant 21 times the normal year fee, and they will terminate your domain before the expire day if you dont renew 30 days before expire. That situation can happend by many reasons: change of administration mail, mail in spam, autorenew fail due to expired card, etc. A risk that need to be considered before purchase a domain. The redemption fee is not written, and will change any time.
is not expensive.
Just Branding and Packaging that doesn't actually matter in hosting industry
All of it, I hosted a default Wordpress site, uploaded my logo and few contents and it keeps loading even the CSS and JS takes 17 sec approx to load Don't recommended me optimization I know all things better then most of you reading my review https://i.imgur.com/K11BcMX.png
none at all
They seem to do pretty well hitting their 100% uptime SLA.
Its a full bait and switch with your plans after year 1. They are worse than the cable companies. Prices go up 4x after the first year for hosting and 2x for domain registration - all for no additional value. With no additional value, it is simply a money grab. The kicker is the inconvenience to switch, which is why I would recommend not even using them in the first place.
Domain registration and website hosting
Reasonable prices, user-friendly interface, free domain transfers. Provides a free SSL certificate. Customer service through live chat.
High renewal prices - Some additional services may incur charges.
I transferred my domains to it due to the high renewal prices on GoDaddy
As the name suggests, they are cheap, but they don't compromise on quality. The service is secure with 2FA logins. I have used for over 10 years and never run into any problems.
As an Australian, I find their .com.au and .au domains over priced compared my local wholesale resistries. Also, as a reseller, I find their resller program overly complicated compared to most that just give you a wholesale price. The process for resllers was so cumbersome I just gave up and pay retail price. My review won't take this into account however, I will just base my star review on the componenets I do use, which is retail purchase of .com names.
Good place to buy and manage .com names
Simplicity. Support. Price. That's all I need to say. But, they deserve many other words and I will express my experience in a little more text. First of all, they have excellent support. I had used the chat option most of the time when I needed help. I don't have to have a specific problem, just a question, but they had a solution for every problem and answered any question. I want to say that it is really helpful to use the support chat, it's not just for chit-chat. I have two domain names there and use the free WHOIS for them. The Monitoring app had some issues, but they will fix them soon, maybe they are already done fix. I have to say that I am very happy with my purchase and experience with the Namecheap provider.
Hosting options is something that I will love for them to have better. Because, in that case, I will love to transfer all to them but for now, I cant fit in the hosting plans with just one WP site per plan.
I didn't have a domain name and I needed it for one reasonable price. I got it from them. They have all the domains you can imagine.
One of the most helpful things regarding Namecheap domains is that we can easily purchase multiple extension domain names at a reasonable cost since Namecheap offers regular discounts on their products. Even the renewal cost of domain names is affordable, so there are no issues with buying domain names through Namecheap
The thing I don't like with Namecheap is that at times they attempt to upsell their extra services or products while the checkout process, which is frustrating for me because is tends to make me lose my precious time with plenty of details that I'm not interested
The most helpful about Namecheap domains is that they usually propagate very quickly, which helps in making the site live immediately and we can start creating our site. Also the DNS management of domains is so simple and easy for us, no need to have any technical knowledge to maintain those.
I love using Namecheap because they offer some of the most affordable domain registration prices in the market and their website is user-friendly and makes it easy to search, register, and manage domain names.
Sometimes they try to upsell additional products or services during the checkout process, and it's annoying because it makes me lose time with a lot of information I'm not interested in.
The best feature of Namecheap is that it provides 24/7 customer support via live chat and email, which is helpful when I need assistance when I have technical problems.
Namecheap is the best domain seller because they offer discounts almost every time we visit, and I purchase a lot of domains from name cheap, and I also recommend them to others.
I do not see any issue with Namecheap, Namecheap is a good domain service provider, and they give almost a discount every month to their customers and also provide the good support.
Namecheap provides discount as per domain variants just like .com .org. and they applied the value as per their policy.
Namecheap is the best domain name service provider I have ever used. Rare domain extensions are available here. The last time when I was looking for a .college domain and I found it nowhere except Namecheap. It also has advanced tech & systems and the best thing for me is that it allows redirection without hosting which other providers don't. It also provides free privacy protection which most providers charge for.
Though the prices of the domains are shown in INR but final payment is made in USD due to which I have to pay forex & other bank charges. And also the UI is pretty old fashion.
Since Namecheap is built on advanced systems & the UX is just awesome. I was struggling with redirection and Namecheap made it easier for me without having a hosting plan. This way I can save a significant amount of money.
The best about Name cheap is we can get our domain names at very low prices by using the coupon codes they offered on regular basis. Also during their Black Friday sale we get more discount on their products either it is hosting, email packages or something else.
With the Namecheap domain we dont have any dislikes as we get these at low prices and can easily mange the DNS within their control panel. But they should focus on increase their customer service, which is slow in responding issues.
With Namecheap we have purchased a few of domain for our company as well as for our other subsideries. And we can mange these easily as their control panel is so user-friendly and easy to navigate thing within that.
