This is an all in package that provided decent styling out of the box, to take it to the next level you do need some CSS knowledge but this is not so hard to learn.
There is no way to change HTML or create some custom pages

The back end of the build was easy enough, and we like the end-users view as well. It had all the features we were after regarding analytics, clean look, communication pieces, and engagement from the end-users. We also like that we can copy events, so the build-out is easier on our end, and we also enjoy the chat feature within the platform to chat with their team and get a quick answer/help with the build process.
While not a downside for us, but it is all self-build. Which again, was not a problem for us as we were able to customize to our liking - but to learn the system for a short stand-alone event might not be worth it for some. That being said, it is easy to use the back-end systems once you get the hang of it!
We solved being able to produce one-day stand-alone events to replace our (pre-COVID) well-attended multi-day events and make up the revenue that would have otherwise been lost and our stakeholders going elsewhere for content. We also were able to keep our sponsors happy as well and get them additional exposure. Benefits = great analytics on users so we can build better events moving forward. Also being able to copy events over and over makes the time spent build less and less!
The in-built features, customization possibilities and a very helpful FAQ that gives very good answers and examples for best practices.
No major disadvantages encountered as of yet since the customization possibilites seem really good.

My team loves the value that InEvent provides to sponsors and to attendees through virtual sponsor booths, an interactive app, and many networking opportunities. Also, I greatly appreciate that InEvent continues to improve their platform and add really meaningful and beneficial features. Furthermore, their support team is incredible.
InEvent is lacking a couple of the high-tech features that make 1-2 other top-tier virtual event platforms so enticing, but for their pricing, I can't really complain. Their branding is very good even if it's not the best yet.

So we've been using InEvent for about a year now and have a pretty good feel for what it can do. Executive summary: it can do just about anything you need to as it relates to planning and executing an online or hybrid event. Just about every feature/capability you can want is here. Customer service is very responsive.
In some regards there are TOO MANY features that then become interconnected and make the setup process more complicated than it should be. The ability to customize templates is limited, as with most solutions in this space. Seems like any time you want to add a feature or something like an integration you get an upcharge. Email marketing capabilities could be better.
Our biggest need was to be able to conduct concurrent webinar sessions for our conference ... and make it easy for attendees to jump between them. This is certainly the case with InEvent. We also use the platform to allow people to register for the event after its live date and watch a replay. This functionality could be a bit more streamlined than it currently is.
The ability to customize the look and feel and functionality. There are many customizable features to make InEvent work the way you want it to. Also, online chat support is excellent. InEvent also performs well during an event, great-looking video, backstage, and interaction with participants
Features you would think are part of certain platform pricing levels may not be. Sometimes there are too many feature options to configure depending on the event type.
Being able to host a robust online event with a lobby and other networking capabilities.
We liked the ease of use for our attendees. The platform was intuitive and most of our attendees logged and accessed all events without any technical difficulties. The virtual lobby was also very customizable with many options to make your event unique. The networking features were also very easy to use and great to help with engagement at the event. We also liked the ability to schedule calls with the InEvent staff to get help with set up and questions answered.
Setting up the event on the back end of the platform was a little tricky for people with limited technical background. It was much more work than we actually anticipated. We also had some technical difficulties with streaming the day of the event that were attributed to Google. Since our event was also many people from many organizations, we also had some issues with VPN's and people being able to log in through their employers server. This was a little tricky to work around.
InEvent helped us hold a 2 day virtual conference originally scheduled to be in person. We had keynote sessions and breakout sessions. We were able to offer the event to our group as well as others across the country.

As the customization options are pretty advanced for a platform of this type, it may be hard at first to get a good grasp on how to adjust InEvent to your business needs.
Hosting an online event in a unconference format, which means that participants create their own agenda. Hard to do online, but InEvent helps with that :)
The platform is sleek and easy to use (for participants). There was quite a bit of a learning curve setting up the platform from an admin user stand-point but their customer success agents are very responsive and hands-on. InEvent has built a very streamlined platform where we can utilize videos, webinars, presentations, polls/chats/questions, conferencing options all in one place. As we are just beginning to experiment with virtual tradeshow/booth platforms, having these capabilities really help us communicate with our customers in the best way possible. Having video-conferencing as part of the platform without having to link out to Zoom or integrate another video service was a huge plus for us.
The sales process was a little hectic, albeit there was a time-crunch on our end to get the platform up and running as well. In the demo you will be taken through the key aspects of the platform but once you get into the platform, you'll realize there's quite a bit of a learning curve to get the event set up correctly. However, their customer success agents are super hands-on, communicative, and knowledgeable. Our agent ramped us up very quickly and even helped set up the platform.
As in-person events like tradeshows and live demonstrations are impacted by COVID, we were exploring different options to connect our sales team with customers and keep them engaged. InEvent's platform was a great solution for us as we can conduct 1:1 demonstration, pre-record our pitch, and book meetings with interested customers on the platform. We're starting our event in Q1 2021 so we will have to re-evaluate the benefits then. So far, InEvent has been a great partner in helping us resolve our most immediate problems.
