Compare Namecheap with other popular tools in the same category.
Affordable prices for top level domains, SSL certificates and hosting. Good support team and a very well documented process makes namecheap a big player in the domains and hosting space.
Some top level domains I'm interested in are not available at the moment.
It is easier to buy domains and hosting services here compared to most providers. Non-tech people will find Namecheap easier to use than many other providers, they have recently redesigned their user interface and that is certainly a plus.
- Very competitive pricing for domains, with coupons giving price reductions available often as well. - Domains come with free WHOIS guard, great for protecting your privacy and address online for individuals registering domains. - Simple and clear domain-management panel with free DNS and email-forwarding provided for all domains. No hidden charges or subscriptions enabled in the background. - Great support team with multiple ways of contacting them 24/7, including Live Chat and Support Tickets. - Ethical company that work with charities protecting rights of internet citizens, including the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF). - Provide other web services like web/email hosting, servers and SSL certificate registration, - Multiple methods of payment accepted, including card payments, PayPal and even Bitcoin. - Recently added 2 factor authentication for additional security of your account. - Android/iOS applications for managing and purchasing services on the move.
Nothing! This company has never let me down so far.
Allows me to register domains & SSL certificates for myself and for my clients.
Namecheap's web hosting is top notch. Their value plan packs a ton of value for a tiny amount per month. The first year is $10 and after that, it's $40/year which is less than $4 per month. I used this for a year and was able to host a dynamic Wordpress.org blog reaching over 5,000 viewers per day. I eventually upgraded to their Business SSD plan and I am amazed at how fast the server is and how quickly issues are dealt with. My website was moved from another host and online (DNS propagation and all) within 24 hours. You can't beat that! They have live chat customer support that is available all day, every day. Their customer support has great security so you know that no one else will be able to mess with your website.
I ran into a problem with the Business SSD server I was on at first. My website kept crashing and I felt like I was getting ripped off for the $20/month I was paying. That issue was very short-lived because their customer service moved me to a more stable server and it's been smooth sailing since then.
Namecheap is my web host. I use it to serve my Wordpress.org blog. It allows me to reach 5,000+ readers per day. I have grown my reader base with a stable, reliable, and fast web host at Name Cheap.
Namecheap makes it incredibly simple to find and manage your domains. For the most part, all domain registrars will have similar prices for domains, but Namecheap's service is what sets it apart. There's never a moment when you have to figure out something entirely on your own. They also tend to offer more promotions that a lot of competitors (such as a free ".me" domain for students), which makes it easier to get into their system and "test drive" it before buying more domains through them.
The only real downside with Namecheap is that it doesn't offer a lot of country code TLDs. Even though I would want to register a ".ai" domain, for example, I'm unable to use Namecheap. As certain TLDs become more common, it's likely they'll be added to Namecheap's catalog, but it can be frustrating in the meantime.

I like the two-factor authentication and has a nice dashboard where I can see all the domains I own. Every domain has it's own manage options where I can change the DNS configuration or redirect to another domain if I need it. You have the hosting options if you want a cheap hosting and have a private email option. You can add products to your domains if you need by example: SSL Certificates. You can add apps to your domains, You have a free "Namecheap Uptime Monitoring" app that helps you to see if your domains have been down in some time. I like the grace time when your domain has expired, you have some time to pay it. It has a very nice design that helps a lot.
By the moment, nothing that I don't like it about Namecheap. The service and Q&A are very good, if you have a problem you are able to ask them at any time. They are very receptive with every kind of persons.

The convenience of having our domains all in one place is amazing. The billing is easier, the support is easier, and seeing it all at a glance makes it easy to plan web access to our different sites.
Reports often available only via email and that email often doesn't go to the person who is needs the reports. The admin interface is dated-looking, not that it needs to be smooth and sleek, but it's certainly not modern.

Simple domain registration without hidden fees and bloated prices. I don't have to search around for coupon codes every time I buy and I don't feel bad using them like I do with GoDaddy. They don't pester me with upsells and the interface is current and easy to use - it doesn't hide options and press me to add services every time I click on something. It's actually designed with a focus on what the user wants to do instead of the best way to make another buck. Refreshing. We've used them for both domain registration, SSL, and WhoIs protection. All work as expected.
Not much. It's simple, affordable, and dependable. It could have better prices, I suppose.

I love all of their tools available, such as the website builder and the built-in ftp client. Their packages are also very reasonably priced, and have multiple tiers that allow me to build websites on a budget. They also offer services that are as good as or better than larger hosting companies.
I have yet to experience anything that I disliked. I do get frustrated with their billing system from time to time, but it is really not that bad.

Namecheap is one of the best domain provide on Google. I am using it since 2017 and it works awesome. Till date I have bought around 6 domains. Best part is it has almost almost all second level domain extension. It gives a wide range of domain extension to choose. Its UI is so user friendly that I don't have to hire and freelancer to setup my domain with server. I can do it on my own.
Nothing to dislike about it. I have never encountered any issue in purchasing domain or payment system. Its customer support is very friendly and fast responsive.
With the helps of namecheap I can easily but qm my business website online. And with the help of domain privacy free extension I can hide my contact details from spammers.
The best I like about Namecheap is that it offers good discounted prices, especially during the Black Friday sale on their all products. The control panel provided by Namecheap is easy to use and implement. Also, the customer support is great as they are capable of handling your all issues and available 24/7.
There is nothing to dislike with Namecheap domains right now, they are working great for us.
With the use of Namecheap, we purchased several domain names for our company as well as for our clients at very affordable prices. Managing DNS with Namecheap is a very simple and easy process. We can also integrate domains with any other hosting servers easily.
