"Easy to use for many purposes"
What do you like best about Namecheap?

I like the ease of buying a domain name, as well as the simple domain organization tools.

What do you dislike about Namecheap?

Namecheap's EasyWP, while easy integrated with a domain, has some issues with uptime. The FTP is also inaccessible with EasyWP.

What problems is Namecheap solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use NameCheap to host all of my domains, personal and professional. It's very easy to add new domain names and keep them organized.

"Almost Flawless Domain/Hosting"
What do you like best about Namecheap?

The process of obtaining a domain and hosting a site is straightforward and streamlines for quick and easy processing.

What do you dislike about Namecheap?

I wish the renewal processes was a little more clear when you not only have a domain, but are hosting as well. It seemed easy to get the two mixed up. Each expires at a different time.

What problems is Namecheap solving and how is that benefiting you?

As an organization Namecheap has allowed us to effectively host our sight without issue and at a reasonable cost. It has allowed us to get more pertinent information out to the people who need quick access.

"Best domain registrar out there, though still not ideal"
What do you like best about Namecheap?

As far as domain registrars go, namecheap has one of the best interfaces out there. The switchover from the old design to the new was a bit odd, but most of the site now look modern and sleek. The prices and TLD options are competitive with every other registrar that I've looked into. In the end, this is probably the most important point. A minor thing that does end up being quite nice is that I've found that changes to DNS records propagate quickly through namecheap -- not sure if that's just confirmation bias or a real effect, but when I've noticed it, it's been a pleasant surprise.

What do you dislike about Namecheap?

While namecheap's interface is nice compared to other registrars out there, it's not without its rough edges. When you compare it to a site like DigitalOcean, there are clearly user experience issues. A lot of things are more complicated than they need to be; this is partly due to the oddities of DNS records and the like, but there are clear ways it could be improved. The only other downside is that not all TLDs are available, especially international ones. It would be nice to keep all my domains with a single registrar.

What problems is Namecheap solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use namecheap to manage our domains. The costs are on par or cheaper than other options, and I find namecheap's interface easier to navigate than other registrars.

"Cost effective Domain Name registration"
What do you like best about Namecheap?

Namecheap provides one of the best values available for domain name registration. The web interface is easy to use. Additionally, they provide good online help and documentation for typical services that they provide. The SSL certificates are also competitively priced.

What do you dislike about Namecheap?

It is not possible to use their DNS service for a top-level apex domain with a PAAS such as Heroku. This is due to the fact that the domain name must map to a fixed IP address.

What problems is Namecheap solving and how is that benefiting you?

Domain name registration. SSL certificate purchase.

"Best domain management site"
What do you like best about Namecheap?

Namecheap offers a great search interface, which let's you survey the different domains you can buy based on a text search, including all the new TLDs like .club and .xyz. It's also fun to use it, with little gems like offering a .space domain as an "outer space deal!". Namecheap offers better prices than the competition in some TLDs: I just checked and it's a dollar cheaper per year on a .com versus Godaddy (although the later gives you a first year discount). Their management interface is clear and easy to use, and they have an extensive knowledge base, where you can find solutions to all your domain needs: DNS, hosting, emailing, etc. Finally, they remind you to renew your domains via email with plenty of time, and in a concise manner. This way you won't find yourself with an expired domain in your hands!

What do you dislike about Namecheap?

During the domain buying process, they offer you services for free, like WhoisGuard or SSL. However, after the first year is over, you have to remember to deactivate them, so that your bill does not go up. I'm not aware of their availability numbers in general, but once I had to make a change on their dashboard, and it was on maintenance for several hours. This could surely be improved, downtimes are a no-go for me. The dashboard used to feel outdated and complex, but they've recently updated it and it's pretty slick and nice nowadays.

"Still buggy, but great customer support"
What do you like best about Namecheap?

Customer support is outstanding. Even when the web UI failed on us, they were very honest and told me it was a bug and offered a prompt solution. We also had to deal with EV SSL verification through the CA and they were very helpful in setting up communication between us and helping solving a issue with a CSR wrongly generated.

What do you dislike about Namecheap?

Even with such a good customer support, I think the web UI needs some improvements. When buying EV SSL certificates for example, since they require validation through the CA that issues them, for the whole period in between buying and having the certificate you cannot see your order in your account area. Also some tools around certificate generation would be useful.

"Very Efficient Hosting Service"
What do you like best about Namecheap?

The Support system is top notch, very efficient and prompt. The servers are fast and with lots of helpful features, emails reach inbox, indicating clean mail servers and there are extra layer of security and spam protection for your website. Free SSL and WHOIS for each domain show your security is important to the company.

What do you dislike about Namecheap?

Auto renew is on by default and your card is stored on the site. Not too good for security reasons.

What problems is Namecheap solving and how is that benefiting you?

Domain research and registration. Website hosting and email marketing Web app setup and use. Website security and security testing
