Simplest to operate, very clear lines and affordability... etc.
This is the newest webphone I'd seen and operate; it will impact the big players in the U.S. market. Overseas, I hope they're going to nail it.
I have no problems using it...
How easy it is to use, after setup I have had no issues making and receiving calls and text messages.
The downside is the monthly subscription.
OpenPhone allows me to communicate with future employers, I use the number on my resume instead of my international number.
Most applications nowadays provide almost similar features with some differences. When purchasing a product, I believe the essential thing to look out for is their support, how quickly they respond and resolve the issues and/ or answer your questions. Even though I wasn't a fan of email support but I found OpenPhone's support to be very responsive and helpful. I am glad I chose OpenPhone over the competition. OpenPhone also has both a Web app and a highly convenient android app. Setting up was extremely easy and quick.
The only thing I did not like so far is that it takes a couple of days to set up the caller ID feature.
I work remotely and have customers in both the US and Canada; OpenPhone allows me to call my customers from anywhere in the world with a local number.
You can't find a better second-line app for such a low price. Works great, includes texting, and desktop access too.
Nothing. No complaints at all. It's what I wanted.
I can keep my business and personal calls separate
Easy dashboard and good quality. Excellent. Especially the customer support.
Nothing. The support is very quick and friendly.
I am outside US and got a number for my business in USA.
Open Phone helps me operate a professional business from my desktop and existing cell phone. I do not want to carry two phones or have anything complicated going on, and was so relieved when I found Open Phone. I set my office hours and Open Phone sends a different message for people calling after hours vs. if I just can't grab a call during the day. I LOVE being able to text from my desktop. It makes it easy to send customers links, more detailed messages, etc. I just got a second number, and it was easy to do. Also, you can specify what your caller ID looks like. It is just what I'm looking for and glad I found it!
I like everything. Their customer service is top notch. No complaints here.
I spend a good bit of time out of the office and I need to be able to take business calls wherever I am. Open Phone is on my computer and personal phone so I can handle things wherever I am. I didn't want to have two cell phones and they helped me achieve that.
I really like the modern user interface.
The only thing I dislike is the dark UI.
It meets my needs for a simple, low-cost phone system.
I like the simple pricing model $10 a month all in
Nothing so far. Only thing that I'd find helpful would be ability to add international number(s) to my account
Ability to have a US number from overseas that I can access on my iPhone as well as desktop
I love this app, it has worked perfectly for me so far and whenever I am stumped on something the customer service team responds within minutes! Truly impressive service and a top notch product!
I can't add my second number to WhatsApp or FaceTime.
For $14/mo I can have a business number without dealing with another phone!
It only takes 1-2 minutes to sign up for your new account , sign up choose your plan and your new phone number is up and running in a matter of second ,Also it gives you an option to choose from many different numbers , so far using i never experienced a dropped call or unsent message , their service is up and running all the time , on the other side when contacting support via email they were kind enough to reply back in less than 20 minutes ,very easy ,very conviniet for a second phone line . Highly recommended app.
I didnt experience any downside of using this app , so far from the start till now everything is great , while using on an android phone sometimes it gets buggy when u recieve a call ( 1 call in a milion ) after declining it it just kept ringing , i assume they are working on the issue , but on the other side no such experience on the ios app.
I use openphone as my daily driver app for making calls across all the states , i personaly use openphone for business solutions and so far works great , also handling large volume of incoming text messages on my account.
The user interface is clean and simple, but what I like second-best is my favorite feature. Second-best, which wouldn't be possible if the interface wasn't so clean and friendly, is that I can see which phone number is being called, and the number calling it. I have several side-hustles in addition to our main business, and it's really helpful so I can answer the phone officially, instead of, "Thanks for calling, this is Dave" when I don't know which business is receiving the phone call. I'm tempted to move all the numbers into Openphone.
I would really like to buy a 10-pack of numbers, or have a kid-business price--one of our 6-year-olds has a business, our 8-year-old has something coming, my 10-year-old has a pet care business, my nieces are coming up with ideas, my wife and her sister are working on new hustle, and I have an established side-hustle along with our main business. It's too many, sure, but how cool to have each one with its own number that can be answered or go to VM, receive a text, etc.
One phone, several phone numbers! It's great not needing multiple phones in my pocket.
Due to recent Google Voice changes, specifically, changes to how Google Voice is treating SMS messages, I started to look for an alternative. My Google Voice number was for personal purposes and I primarily use it to have a local number (my cell is from out of state) and to receive texts. I had Google Voice since 2009. It was challenging finding an alternative to Google Voice for personal use that didn't cost a bunch. Via Reddit I found OpenPhone. It has a very clean interface and works well on my iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro. I receive texts quickly and the customer support is excellent - thorough and fast. I like how the app manages contacts and the price is reasonable.
I wish OpenPhone had a personal use tier for less money per month. I receive probably about 150 texts per month and spend about 10 hours on the phone per month. The price is high for that level of usage.
I needed to get off Google Voice because come July Gogle will stop sending texts to phones. OpenPhone plugged into my existing routine nicely and the UI is more up to date.
100% satisfied with the quick response time, attentive customer service, and quality of audio! Just what I wanted.
Ability to add a new payment method and reauthorize it without getting back to support
Local US number so I can keep in touch with my US clients while I am overseas
This software is full featured with incredible support that is helpful. And works tirelessly to add features I request. On top of all that they have crazy affordable pricing!
Outside integrations are slightly limited. But with the new zapier integration combined with new things being constantly added, I'd say even this is a mute point.
I have an affordable, professional phone system with call recording and it connects to my CRM and booking software. My contacts are automatically added and transcribed calls are automatically added in my CRM as notes making phone calls painless.
OpenPhone has been a great experience as a software. Nowadays software has to be very easy to understand and work well. The team that built this made the basics of what a small business needs in a phone system.
Honestly, they really did everything right. I was looking to find something to improve and overall there is nothing. The only thing I would say is about pricing. The OpenPhone pricing is a better price and value compared to all competitors. However, I would suggest one change. Instead of only per user, I would suggest a single company price, then a smaller per user price if they have a number tied to them. Otherwise, just a single company price, then keep the per phone number and potentially extra minute price. I know that would definitely reduce their revenue and their current pricing is very affordable, I would think a single price per company of like $10 o $20 per month then keep the extra number costs and extra minute costs. But take away the per-user price.
This is a fully functional small business, freelancer, sales team, support team...etc online phone system. It works incredibly well. They created a better disruptor to the competition.
OpenPhone is by far the best business phone solution I've used. Besides the simple UI, it seamlessly integrates with other tools that my business uses (Zapier, HubSpot etc.) and lets the entire team have visibility into conversations with contacts. Definitely recommend!
Some minor bugs with adding team members to my business number but it was quickly resolved upon flagging to their support team.
Great solution for having one business phone number that the entire tea has insight into. Seamless web UI and texting. Love that it's separate from my personal phone number and it's easier to keep track of customer conversations since it syncs with HS. Also love that we can set office hours and custom voice mail message as well as the auto-reply feature.
OpenPhone just gave the right amount of software features without falling into the trap of feature overload. The discoverability of basic phone features which include: Make a phone call, access contacts, and review and make text messages with users and customers just increases the efficiency and effectiveness of accomplishing primary and secondary tasks within your phone system. If you are looking for software to “get out of your way” I would investigate and then sign up for a trial version and see how much more business you can get done.
I hope they stay with refining the phone basics and do not fall into the trap of adding features because a "portion" of customers, NOT necessary users, request it.
I am having multiple phone numbers for a small team of 1 to 10 team members without spending hundreds of dollars a month. For each call, they sent a automated text message letting the customer know what resources are available to them besides a phone call to answer their question.
It's affordable and their support is excellent
No complaints! I've had no problems using it on my computer, Android, or iOS.
I switched from Line2 which had next to no support and constantly crashed. I finally gave up and I wish I'd made the switch sooner! I use it for personal calls to my family too as I'm abroad often.
Great features, easy to set up, very good customer support and response. I researched several other phone service possibilities but OpenPhone came out on top. I needed to have a Canadian number after I moved to the US and OpenPhone offers everything I was looking for. OpenPhone kept me apprised by email while my service was being set up. I am still a new customer but so far I've been very pleased.
I am still a new customer and haven't experienced any problems so far.
My business activities are mainly in Canada, so it is helpful to have both a Canadian phone number and my US cell number on my phone. I can receive and make calls from my Canadian number while I am in the US.
It is effortless to use, I love the transcribed voicemails, and all conversations are in one thread. I love that I can set up office hours and automated responses when I miss calls. I also love that I can have multiple numbers and access them straight from my dashboard, that's an amazing feature!
The extension/call forwarding doesn't always work. but I don't need it right now. Everything else works like a charm
I run a cleaning company and this is my complete phone system. It has made it easy to separate personal calls from business calls, manage all my clients and employees in one place
