I have had no issues with sound quality or reliability. Pricing is good. Ability to pick from many phone number is in my area. I made a suggestion for a change to the voicemail email and they were receptive and implemented it within a day! No complaint with the service or company at all at this point. I use the service a little different than most, I use it to have a private line on a company provided mobile phone.
There is no native client for the Windows platform (though they do say they are working on it). The web based client does work on windows, I just prefer to have a separate application.
No problems, allows me to have a private phone line without carrying a second mobile phone at a reasonable cost.
It's simple and user-friendly. Furthermore, the team support is awesome.
I can't think of something specific I dislike at the moment.
Less expensive then regular phone systems. Autonomous management.
I am moving from G suite's voice service. All the phone calls, texts from a client are all on one screen. There is also place to make some internal notes about the client.
I wish it could work with my cordless desk phone also like the old google voice using an Obihai adaptor. I wish they offered a HIPPAA compliant version.
I don't have to go to multiple screens to find a communication with a client.
The app is fluid, pricing is less, easy to get onboard
It would be better if the annual subscription package is available.
As a non-resident, I can able to get USA based mobile number for both personal and business. Offerings also seem transparent compare to other vendors.
Porting my numbers over was a challenge but the team at OpenPhone made it happen. Now I have my personal numbers and business numbers under one roof, for a low price.
I would like the option to remove the dark theme, but otherwise I am happy to see what new innovations the management comes up with.
I can now have all my personal and business numbers on one app, as my previous virtual phone companies only offered one phone number or limited capabilities.
Easy and people are quick to respond to my questions
Nothing to dislike ! ....................
Moving to Canada, so this is the best and cheaper option
Business calls route to where ever I am on whatever device I am using. Quick and simple view of open conversations that can be shared with team members. SMS and MMS support.
No conference calls. Mobile admin interface is limited compared to desktop.
We are often out of the office. With typical call forwarding, we would have to use our personal mobile number to return calls. Now we can return calls from the field using our business number.
Simplicity. Convenient. Beautiful design. Amazing support team
Some billing issues - was once and solved quickly
USA number + calls recording
Cheap usage and features on the web plus support
I have to get used to wi-fi only but worth it.
Problem solved is that I have unlimited use in the US and Canada, my previous provider was going to cut the service due to an extended time outside of the US (this is par for the course). Benefits are cost and service.
Been using OpenPhone for over 2 years! Great user experience, clean and intuitive design.
Was going to say there was no desktop app, but now that they do... everything is just great.
Virtual number, business or personal, taken to a whole new level.
I tried several VOIP systems over the years, but none of them gave me the option and flexibility I needed for my commercial phone service. OpenPhone allows me to do everything and more and use my personal cell phone as the device without having any other device or technology. Even though my previous phone provider made porting difficult, OpenPhone support was diligent in getting it done. Any time I've needed help, they respond immediately and have always been professional and courteous. Even with a recent billing issue, they didn't cancel my account or block anything, they gave the bank time to fix the issue. The new features and improvements keep coming. I love being able to send and receive text messages from what was previously a landline where that would have been nearly impossible. If you still rely on a landline or VOIP, you need to give OpenPhone a chance. You won't regret it.
The only issue I've had involves answering calls via bluetooth in the car. I think it has more to do with the bluetooth in the car though.
Got rid of landlines. Not tied to separate hardware. Lowered costs.
How seamlessly it integrates into my work life. I essentially have two phones to make calls with. Magic.
Really don't dislike anything. Does the job extremely well at an affordable price.
I'm solving the need to have a business phone. I'm able to do that without having to get one. One of the things that's great about it is that
Easy to set up as a new user, reliable - texting, and calling works well.
UX can be better - took me a while to figure out how to add a voicemail.
Business phone for my company
Easy interface. Easy to coordinate between multiple team members
Can be glitchy especially with saving contacts
Having an office line that can be picked up on the phone and on the computer and that can text
Customer Service is second to none. The entire team is helpful
I can’t make special hours for my users to take calls on their scheduled days
No more dropped calls and I like the desktop texting feature
In the recruiting/hr space, I make and receive a lot of external phone calls. OpenPhone has allowed me to protect my privacy with a work number without me having to get another device. I couldn't imagine using my personal phone number at work both for my own privacy but also because I never pick up all the spam calls I receive on that number. Having OpenPhone allows me to sift through what calls I need to answer just by separating out personal vs professional calls. I'd recommend it to anyone who makes many external calls for work!
There have been some bugs but every time I've reported them to the team, they have been fixed almost instantly!
OpenPhone helps me solve for protecting my privacy for all external calls, makes me feel comfortable handing out my business card at events, enables me to have a local phone number which looks more professional to candidates, allows me to not have to carry multiple devices around for work/personal matters and more!
As a co-founder and CEO of a busy start-up, it's a seamless experience. Can use from my desktop or my phone, and I can keyboard type messages to clients/customers. Reliable connections, unlike alternatives that I've used in the past. It's amazing!
There's nothing that I dislike about this product
The problem is that I needed an alternative phone to my 'personal' cell phone. As a Canadian, I also needed a US number that my customers could call me from that didn't charge them long distance fees. I also love that I can call from my computer/desktop!
Love the price. Phone systems can get weirdly expensive. All I need is a business phone number that can be answered from a smartphone. OpenPhone is one of the most competitively prices products out there and a great product at that.
Some specific features for my situation would be nice, like the ability to be logged in to 2 companies at once, and the ability to disable calls but enable text for a specific user, but they seem to add features fast so I am hoping my requested updates will be available soon.
Reliable business phone number on my personal phone. The price is right, as opposed to a lot of other options out there.
Open phone gives us easy access, multi-device business phone numbers. When we started using OpenPhone we were a brand new startup that wanted business numbers without carrying multiple devices. OpenPhone was the most user-friendly and competitively priced of the options we researched and they have since added features. OpenPhone has been very easy to use as we have expanded our team and moved to remote work during COVID - one click to deliver a new hire their own number on our plan - the easiest part of our IT onboarding. The ability to text from our business numbers on one device is great.
Performance is subject to Internet reliability, which can be spotty where some of our team is located. No conference calling feature.
OpenPhone has allowed us to build a business phone system for our team in a simple way, and has made it easier to move remote.
OpenPhone is great, they are always updating the apps taking customer feedback into consideration. Crisp line, no in and out and no long distance charges! (Canada/US)
Honestly? Nothing, it does the job great! If anything allow us to fully delete conversations via the app and not web... right now you can archive/“done” conversations.
OpenPhone is my main work number, I operate a recruitment firm and I call across Canada and America all day.
