Paychex Flex Reviews: 4.2/5 — Solid Choice

This has been the best system so far! Paychex Flex has everything and houses all our employee matters in one system, that they have access to as well (well, the access we allow them to have!) It is so customizable to each employee and different groups, and customer service is out of this world! We even have our insurance linked directly to this which makes my job so much easier. I love that i can see every aspect that has to do with employees and time all in one place. Getting everything set up and implimented to sync with Sage was easy, and upkeep for new employees is even easier. I use this everyday, multiple times a day and love it.

Some of our drivers on the road say the new update feature makes it hard for them to clock in and out quickly due to the 'security verification code'. But most of our drivers dont have an issue at all, so it may be something easily fixed.

I havent had any problems yet.

Paychex application makes adding new employees, making changes and processing payroll a breeze. They offer competitive pricing and their customer service has been responsive and helpful anytime we've reached out to them.

It would be helpful if we received an email notification payroll reminder two days prior to payroll to avoid expedited payroll fees.

We no longer have to calculate our own reports or calculate time off. We also benefit from Paychex assisting with 403b deductions.

I process my payroll weekly and I do not have to call Paychex to process payroll every week by an administrator.

Benefits Account (PBA) is on a different site.

payroll tax payments , I dont have to learn payroll taxes and who to pay when also my workers comp reports, helps so I can report my employees hours to workers comp. insurance company accuratly and easily keeps track of PTO, so I dont have to.

It is a full service company, that handles all of the legalities.

The website is super easy to use from both an employee & employer standpoint. Completing payroll is great with filters & saved views so you can change what you're looking at depending on what you're working on.

I have had a few different specialists through the years. Of course, not everyone is created equally. I have found that when I can't get something taken care of through assigned person, I go through the online chat & they are SUPER helpful there!

We now have payroll, 401k, insurance & HR Pro through Paychex. Our HR person is happy to have someone to talk to when legal matters are at hand. I love having the access to see the 401k & have it directly feed into employee accounts cutting down on the work to issue those funds. With the insurance now as well its cutting down on the time to complete payroll because it's directly tied to who has signed up for each plan.

I am able to do payroll for my company on my time frame, it is simple to use, each employee has access to all their information, it keeps track of everything for audits, pays all the taxes, prepares all the forms.

I would like to have access to the employees log in for if they forget how to log into their payroll accounts

I can call their support staff with a huge problem or a small question and receive the same courtesy and very professional assistance every single time.

I don't feel like there is anything to dislike. Price is fair. Service is great

I am freeing up the time that I was spending figuring out payroll and taxes. When PPP opportunity turned up, I was so relieved to have Paychex reports.

The entire system is relatively easy to use. Mostly intuitive, and if you need help, they are just a phone call away.

They are working hard to make changes for the better, but the time in between starting the change and completing it, makes using the system a bit cumbersome.

Payroll is complicated and time-consuming; with PayChex, it is much less the case. Also, having the help of an employee handbook builder and maintaining it is great!

That people can see their info online before they actually get their paycheck stubs.

The best thing about Paychex is its convenience. You can access it absolutely anywhere and at any time.Everything is just a click away. Any reports to be processed are always done quickly. Payroll is a breeze.

I would like to know more of the details of my Paychex package. I feel that I need to make more time on my end to learn.

Onboarding is easy and allows either the new employee or the admin to onboard them. Payroll has become extremely easy with managers to complete their employees partially.

I love all of the modules they offer, payroll, HR, retirement, time and attendance and the hiring. We have been with them for 2 years now and this system has cut hours out of my processes so that I can attend to other things I need to do.

I am not a fan of the benefits module. We tried it but since we are a small company it was not compatiable for us. We ended up dropping that module.

Paychex continues to update and change their modules to fit our changing environment. They are constantly sending us surveys to make their products better. Customer service is amazing, when we email them or call them with a problem they are quick to fix it.

The site is very easy to use and the customer service is excellent and very responsive.

Sometimes you need to search to find the report you're looking for,but if you fail to find it their customer support is excellent.

It's easy and efficient to perform payroll.

Sometimes the invoice back up is hard to figure out where to look for them.

Payroll soup to nuts is done through Paychex alleviates any manual calculation and state and federal reporting.

Our Paychex specialist calls our office for payroll hours twice a month. Paychex accurately takes out taxes and any deductions. The majority of our staff are set up for direct deposit but it's an option to get a live check. Paychex delivers the paychex the next day.

Paychex has a super user-friendly platform and very helpful and friendly payroll specialists who know your company inside- and out. It's super helpful for day-to-day accounting and also helpful to collect everything needed for taxes.

I am not sure I appreciate the reps that contact me about products and services. I would rather reach out when I need something then feel pressured to schedule a meeting.

The PayChex Flex system allows for easy online access to everything I need. If I am unable to figure something out, a quick e-mail to my Rep is all that is needed for quick help. My Rep has always been fantastic and helpful and always responds very fast.

They take away a huge workload for me by handling the processing of the payroll, paying the taxes appropriately and issuing the W-2's and any reports that we need.
