RocketReach Pros and Cons
- Large database (hundreds of millions of profiles) and global coverage
- Transparent, published pricing tiers
- Strong mix of features (email & phone discovery, exports, API, extension, sequences)
- Extensive third-party integrations (CRMs, Zapier, etc.)
- Free plan / low-cost entry for testing
- Entry tiers lack phone numbers and certain higher-tier features
- Per-user pricing can be expensive for teams
- Export, lookup and daily send caps can limit high-volume usage
- Data accuracy and freshness reported as uneven by some users
- Monthly billing is costlier and imposes stricter caps compared to annual billing

In terms of email verification, they have done some of the legwork in terms of validating the company's email format and the domain name - if your company's Salesforce instance is mature (heavy usage and data append from various paid and internal sources), that feature may be moot. It is an easy system for finding emails of LinkedIn contacts, where you do not have a starting point. You can tell the product is young, but it has elements (easy and fast) of being a compelling solution.
A lookup is counted towards your credits no matter what - even if there is no email available for that individual contact or the email is bad. Also, there is no way that I have found (thus far) to submit feedback that an email is bad. Based on my 7 years of experience related to email verification, the email data is probably correct for 33% of the emails (based on what a mail server can return) - but the verification (will it bounce) is left up to the user. Also, the 33% I refer to probably varies based on geography. I am sure a next step is to build in verification which can be done in a number of ways (automation, crowd-source, BPO).
We are trying to find a cost effective solution to email verification/validation vs hiring a BPO vendor to source the same information.
What drew me initially to try them was that they had most of the emails I was searching for.
I don't like the fact that they don't allow your remaining credits to roll over the next month. For something so expensive, it's surely such a waste since there's no option to buy lower than 125 lookups a month.
The emails you find on their database depend on the industry. If you're looking for leads in the startup field, chances are, they'll have that contact.
It is simplest way to find e-mail and other information about persons You are looking for.Their API looks interesting for web masters.
It 's very narrow search tool with very limited results and nearly ni options to choose from. Also there are some technical difficulties. For example, when You are browsing multi page list of found potential contacts, if You want to go back a page, application show empty page; so if You want to go back, You need to remake another time same search.
It's a perfect tool when standard internet search tools are not good enough.
The searchability is quite nice. There are many ways to find targets/prospects.
Many emails were inaccurate and bounced, leaving us back in the same place we started.
We receive contacts from conferences or other efforts. Getting their email address can be a challenge. RocketReach was purchased to help that problem.
For relatively inexpensive you can access emails for executives
Unethical billing practices and combative customer service representatives
Rather than opt in to $$$$ data providers such as zoom info we can use less expensive prospecting tools for the tech side and use RocketReach for contact info.
The only reason I bought RocketReach is because they have a single-user subscription. I am in job transition mode and have championed other products, none of which will sell to individuals.
Three major dissatisfiers: 1) More than 60% of their phone numbers are wrong. By wrong, I mean wrong company, the number RocketReach provided is not in service, etc. A startling number of them. 2) On Monday, RocketReach stopped providing email addresses yet I had thousands of searches left. I reported this to a chatbot, who instructed me to uninstall/reinstall, and it is still not working properly. 3) Their support consists of AI that can only hand you off to a chatbot. And the chatbot is of no help.
See above. I am in a job search, and need a reliable source of business email addresses and phone numbers to follow up on sent resumes.
NOTHING - POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - VULTURES SELLING MY DAYA
EVERYTHING - STOP SELLING MY DATA - REMOIVE MY COMPNAY DETAILS
THEY ARE CREATING THE PROBLEM
What I like the least about this product is it has nearly all the contacts that you're looking for and they have a huge database of people which they update frequently & probably this is the only thing which I like about RocketReach.
There are a lot of things that I dislike about this product starting from the number of free credits it gives to the user is very limited moreover, the product user interface looks cluttered plus their customer support service is pathetic.
The only problem I am able to solve with this product is that it has a huge database and it comes to the rescue every time you're looking for contact information of your potential leads but on the business front I don' t think it has added any real value so far.
Relatively easy-to-use interface but search is mostly ineffective and usually doesn't work
I signed up for a one-month plan and hardly used the service. Out of the few lookups I attempted, some of the information RocketReach provided was inaccurate or out of date. When I advised customer service, they simply said, “We are unable to offer credits for inaccurate information”. This morning, my credit card was charged a recurring amount without my authorization. When I reviewed my account, I noted that it was processed as a recurring subscription. I have since canceled the service. When I informed customer service, they claimed that “their subscriptions auto-renew” and “cancellations are self-serve”, even though these policies are not stated on my receipt. These material omissions constitute False or Deceptive Advertising. Here on G2 and their website (before you sign up), their “Pricing” page offers 4 plans, namely, Free, Essentials, Pro and Ultimate. However, upon canceling the service, I received an email from Amit Shanbhag, co-founder of RocketReach, inviting me to “consider downgrading to our Starter Plan” for about half the cost of their Essentials Plan. This was the first time I heard of their “Starter Plan” which would have met my needs much better than their Essentials Plan. It appears that the page that describes the Starter Plan is only visible after your pay for one of their more expensive plans. This bait and switch tactic constitutes Fraud. The cancellation email from Amit also invited me to “email him directly” to let him know “if there is anything we could have done differently” because “we're constantly looking for ways to improve our product, and we'd love to hear your feedback”. However, when I wrote Amit with my concerns, he breached his promise by failing to respond. A quick read of some of the headings of negative reviews on g2 indicate my experience is not isolated. I invite any other former RocketReach customers with similar experiences to contact me to commence an international class action lawsuit against RocketReach.

the dashboard is nice and easy to use, but unfortunately what good is it if the quality of contact information is bad.
BEWARE of this company. they will not send you ANY email notifications that you are being charged for their monthly service. It should be illegal and is surely unethical to NOT send any email notifications to users when they are being charged. Especially when they see that there is zero usage in your account. the least a reputable company should do is send monthly statements of your charges, that's standard practice. on top of that, Very poor quality of leads, old data, we did not benefit at all from this company data. the sales team i had were constantly frustrated with how old the numbers are, wrong people , wrong positions. an absolute waste of money. even the amount they should charge monthly was $74, and i was charged $99/month i contacted customer support, after i received that a payment has bounced from my credit card, only then i knew they were charging me for 7 months in a row without me knowing. they saw that there was zero lookups in my account for past 6 months, yet they did not refund anything.
to find quality contacts for potential leads
Gives some names of stores that I otherwise may not have heard about
More than 80% of VERIFIED, yes green check contacts are completely wrong. Not worth the price at all. I waste more time going back and correcting what was supposedly verified
zero- it actually caused a lot of problems when I was sending emails to "verified" contacts and bouncing 85% of them. Took a big hit on my domain emailing a ton of invalid emails.
The system won't let me type anything in here other than ease of use.
Accuracy and cost. $588 for the year (ouch!) and at least a third of the emails come back as inaccurate.
I was using the service to obtain email information for media and industry analysts.
RocketReach has a great product that should empower business owners and anyone seeking to network and access to a wealth of contacts.
RocketReach places profit before its customers and ensures that they are not accessible when a complaint arises. I unintentionally purchased their $828 annual payment plan while I meant to subscribe to their monthly payment plan. $69 per month. I called and emailed customer support to no avail. I even got desperate by sending a message to Scott Kim (CEO) and Amit Shanbhag (Co Founder) to intervene, so that I could be switched to the monthly payment plan and get my money back of $729 with deductions for the week I used. However, no one cared to contact me to ensure that my concern would be addressed. I am appalled by the trickery of RocketReach. I felt as if I was in some third world country without any laws to protect the consumer. I will definitely not purchase their product or services. Preying on customers to increase your profits expresses the deeper culture that pervades every facet of this organization. I placed over 10 calls, sent 5 emails and messages to the CEO and co-founder to an avail. Overall, I give this company two thumbs down for having a shady marketing and selling tactics as well as an elusive customer service that ensures your issues of resolving a purchasing mistake is unfounded.
RocketReach has a great product and I tried to make contacts with top CEOs; however, no matter how great a product, when the company wants to extort and steal from its customers the whole customer experience becomes a nightmare as my very own experience.
I love how simple it is to use and the extension makes using the tool incredibly practical, especially when you need to send a lot of "one off" personalized emails.
If only the data quality was accurate. Most of the time (60-70%) the emails are bogus and I end up sending a Linkedin Inmail instead. This is incredibly frustrating as a user as I feel like I got ripped off with fake emails.
Due to the poor quality of data, RocketReach has not lived up to its promise. Therefore I can't recommend it as a service.
Nothing. It just wasn't a good solution for what I was looking for
I sent them a screenshot of the cancellation page, however, I guess I did not complete it because I had to click on a reason for the cancellation. I'm sure that they could easily tell if I used the product or even logged in to the platform since the cancellation date (which was the same date I started the triel btw)

nothing at all, the service was so bad. Not recommended.
customer service was not helpful, email few time also no reply. the website deduct my credit while the contact show incorrect.
n'a
There isn't much to like. It's just a tool to get the email addresses of Linkedin contacts. Sometimes it's not even getting the correct email address.
They automatically enable the auto-renew, but when asked to refund after cancelling the account, the refuse to do so. They just charged the credit card for 1 year in advance, but they refuse to refund after we cancelled the account, few days in the subscription. I do not recommend this solution.
I couldn't find any benefits. I tried to cancel the account after a few days in the subscription and they refused to refund the money we paid for 1 year in advance.
RocketReach provides a very valuable service. i like the Chrome extension that makes it easy to look up contact information.
1) They provide personal email addresses which are not acceptable for business outreach and you are charged for them with no way to avoid them once you select "Get Contact". 2) they are completely unwilling to refund credits for bad information offering only the excuse of "That's just the way it works" 3) There are no default filter settings which is really frustrating. By default, you should be able to look only at specific geo regions, job titles, industries etc. 4) The job titles drop down is too limited and needs to be expanded and also should allow for default settings. 5) Very often completely unrelated contacts appear in results.
RocketReach is used to find contact information, so I suppose the "problem" would be not having contact information.
Decent performance with a couple of unclear search features
I found the actual product to be average performance (3 of 5 stars) based although my assistant was able to find a couple of free options so I only needed the medium package. I still found it a bit overpriced (2 of 5 stars) for the number of lookups received. The main reason I am writing a review is due to the COVID-19 epidemic my business is super slow where I can not afford add ons. So when I saw the auto-renew charge notification I called right away to get it canceled and refunded as obviously I had not used any of my "lookups". I explained my situation and they simply stated "Nothing we can do" deal with it essentially. I don't deny its there policy that you can not get a refund, but I just find that in this climate especially, why would you want to be charging people for something they don't want to use and you know can't afford in some cases. Since I help small businesses for a living, it just seemed like a grimy policy as we all have forgotten about an auto-renew and most companies have no problem refunding it if you catch it early. Multiple emails and all with a "deal with it mentality", left a bad taste in my mouth. My life theory is when people are openly shady you have to be extra careful about what else they are shady about you don't see.

Be able to find some email address if you got lucky (probably 30% chances)
(1) The charge is very expensive considering the poor quality of the search result The software runs an algorithm that provides some random combination of the variations of the name and the organization under the search. In most cases, the results are pointless and it is just a waste of time to reach out to those emails. Of course it is impossible to detect a personal email address either. Please note that their cheapest plan is $79 per month.... I can't believe how can they ask for this price. At least improve the accuracy to make it worth the money! (2) It is dam hard to cancel the service You subscribe the service for a few month and want to cancel it? Be very cautious about that because Rocketreach did a good job to defraud you by playing tricks on the cancellation: the website will redirect you to 4 different pages after you click cancel. On each page, the link to proceed with the cancellation is very hidden, and you have to pay great attention on every link every text in order to cancel successfully. Obviously the company make this process super complicated in the hope of people making mistakes so they can continue charging you. It is a pity that they don't spend the same amount of effort in designing their searching algorithm. (3) The customer support is not responding The company is very small so their team is not well trained yet. If you run into some issues, do not expect the customer support to pick up the phone call ; do not expect someone will be responsible to solve the issue for you.
Getting leads. Unfortunately so far I don't get much benefits from RocketReach . It is even less effective than I directly send linkedin message.
It is connected to LinkedIn and the contacts are the same
It has not too many credits per month and i consider it is very expensive
Lead generation
