We can discuss things about a topic in groups, and also we can share knowledge with others. It helps me a lot whenever am tuck on something, I ask here and someone already had the same and help me.

If there are too many members in a group you have to scroll it, to search for a specific member's reply. It needs to be sorted, and have the option to pin members so directly chat can be filtered

Being mad on some point of code and not able to solve any issue, we can discuss it here and someone with more experience will definitely come forward to answer clear thoughts about the problem.

Slack is probably the messenger of businesses. Easy to use, simple and efficient.

There is not a lot to dislike about Slack except at times when the desktop app crashes (which happens very rarely)

All of us work remotely. Slack makes it easy for us to communicate, send files and video call no matter where we are.

I really enjoy the fun add ons that you can have in messaging - GIFs, short videos, and being able to link slack with other professional tools is very helpful as well.

The video calling feature can be a bit difficult to use at times because it freezes more often than other video conferencing tools, also sometimes the amount of channels you can be in is overwhelming.

Remote work has become much easier as a result of Slack, we use it every day to communicate without fail, and without it, we would be truly unable to do our work.

The ability to have multiple elements and conversations going on! I love the syncing with phone and laptop. I also like the fact you can text and emoji your ear through a conservation. It's also great to have direct and team chats.

not knowing when the emoji was posted. Search elements can be a little challenging. Some more set options for your status. Sometimes the slack thread shows as unread when's it's been read

Massive time saver in virtual and voice conversations. It saves a lot of phone calls and even emails. I know when they have received the slack message and immediately when they have replied.

It's really easy to use. Creating one-off chats with groups is super simple and my team can reach me quickly. It's also helpful when using the plug-ins from my teams tech stack.

Sometimes it can be alert overload in meetings and updates were difficult to navigate. (I'm also a mac user for the first time)

Slack has made cross-departmental collaboration and meeting new members of the team a breeze. Huddles have been helpful for calls that only take a minute or two, and not having to create a zoom link and waiting for everyone to join.

I love being able to send a quick message out to a co-worker or group of coworkers on a platform that I can have on my phone. I like how easy it is to share files and ideas.

I think that the integrated apps on slack are ok but need work. sometimes they make it more complicated than actually using the app outside of slack. The gif apps the slack has need some work to make it easier to use.

Slack solves the problem of needing to send a file over quickly, in the past, I would need to upload a file to dropbox or google drive but now I can send it to someone right away. I do photography and video work on my team so this feature is great for me.

Ease of use, its basically each corporate standard nowadays to use slack!

I like everything! I don't know what to dislike here, really!

Communication with collegues

Everything! Slack has got an amazing and simple interface that has made communicating with my team super easy and interesting. I love how I get notifications on updates when a new comment related to projects I'm involved in is made. It's incredible!

There are a few features on the Slack communication interface that need to be decluttered to avoid distractions and to ensure that only messages are displayed.

Slack is helping me and my team stay updated with information as soon as needed. It has solved the communication barrier we had before discovering it.

I think that Slack is great for collaboration and async talking with the team. Using Slack, we barely need to use e-mail, because at the same time it's real-time, it's all documented. We can pin the most important messages, so we can return easily to the most important topics of the conversations. The way Slack is divided into different channels is great because we can set different topics in each of them.

Sometimes it's a little bit annoying to manage all the channels that we have active. I try to group them into similar topics, but I can't reorder them (by default, it's ordered alphabetically).

The async discussions are easily made, so we don't need long discussions on Google Meet that make everyone tired. I realized that the team is much more collaborative, too, using the stickers and celebrating our victories together!

Slack has helped me to connect with my team members and keep the check on them. It also helps me to get updates from every member on a single platform. Furthermore, it also helps me to connect with other department members and get information on any project.

Whenever a person joins the slack, s/he is not able to join the required group automatically as per their title or job profile. Automation is not there on the software.

As of now, I am not facing many problems with Slack. But, sometimes it does not send me the notifications of the other groups which is very irritating. Not getting a notification on time makes me leave behind the team.

Slack is great for easily communicating with coworkers ie: messenger, phone calls, group messages, numerous channels, etc. It's also great because you can add images, and emojis and personalize the overall experience. i will always choose this as my primary working platform for any communications.

If you don't have the paid version, Slack gets rid of previous old messages and media. Those messages could be useful at some point to refer back to. Other than that, it's great.

Quickly communicate with coworkers if you need to figure something out ASAP. The connection is good when you are on a phone call with someone. Group channels for everyone to see if you want to announce something to everyone.

The whole system. Everything is pretty easy to do and if I don't know how to do it, the help section of their website is amazing. I love how smooth it runs. Never had any real issues with my slack.

I only dislike that I don't have full access to do everything due to admin restrictions. But I also understand why some things have been restricted by my company.

It's just an excellent communication tool. I can relay any message individually or for my whole team at once. I love that I can schedule when messages are to be sent out. I love that I can also automate daily messages that always repeat.

Slack is super easy and intuitive to use. You have total control over the content you'd like to be a part of as well as how private you want some channels to be. You can also set reminders and many more useful quirky things.

Honestly, nothing so far. The reminders work great, messages are easy to keep a track of and you can send voice notes as well. That is an amazing time saver! Only needed to fill the space :)

This is our main method of communication within our team and different departments. It is a huge part of problem solving as a whole in the company as well as sharing exciting news and updates.

My favourite feature about Slack is that, unlike other platforms like discord, it permits me to share files that are considerably large and does not require me to have a subscription or a premium pack.

The only thing I dislike about Slack is that there's no read receipts and though this is a pretty small point, at certain times we are in need to know if our messages have been read and conveyed to the person.

I use slack at my work for effective communication with team mates. We work as developers and testers and often times are required to perform various software builds. Slack eases it for us by letting us share larger files for no extra charges.

Channels in Slack are the features I like and use the most. Channels are used for a focus conversation with a group of folks - it is great when we can resolve an issue over Slack and not have to have a meeting.

Sometimes the Slack notifications can feel overwhelming since there are so many ways to be connected - direct message, channel, bots and integrations with other systems like Jira. There are settings within Slack to remove sound, etc to help make this less overwhelming.

The simple way I can reach out to others and quickly discuss topics. Great for asynchronous work, especially for remote teams working across multiple time frames. I also love being able to create reminders to go back to a topic or ping someone at a later stage.

What can be complicated is the conversations that get lost either because you reach the limit in the free version or because there are hundreds of conversations happening. Searching for and finding specific conversations or topics can be hard. Equally, sometimes important discussions or decisions are made that it would be great to attach to a ticket in Jira for example. I've seen some integrations to try and solve this problem, but haven't been happy with the results so far.

I use slack as a collaborative tool to connect myself and the team. I can easily drop a quick question, poll or topic in one of the channels and know that my colleagues will answer when it's best for them. It's also important for sharing updates with the team.

I like how you can create channels, pin messages, send voice notes and even call people in real time without needing to use another app.

How hard it is to find media sent at a given point of time.

I have realized that companies use it privately and they can invite theit entire community to its channels!

The chat feature is what I like the most. It's more efficient for business communications. We can customize how messages are displayed and grouped. We can also connect Slack with other software smoothly. I first started using Slack without paying anything, so I like that there's a low entry cost. The notifications are helpful and can be activated in ways that are unique to each user.

The cost for the more advanced versions of Slack is expensive in my book. I think organizations may not find it expensive though. Otherwise, the functionality has been solid.

I benefit from the efficient chat messaging feature in Slack. We can also integrate files and data from other applications in a more seamless way. I can stay in touch with colleagues and get work pushed ahead faster for everyone involved. We can see when people are online and engage them right away if needed.

The best thing about slack is when you reply to a person in chat it opens a new thread without interrupting the others.

Sometimes the app crash and I have to forcefully end the service.

Communicating with the team, Keeping up with the daily task, Integrating different services like GitHub with it. Creating multiple channels for different teams.

I like the chat system well because we can seamlessly chat with our colleagues & our subordinates. The main thing is that it binds all the organisations together, which is great.

There is nothing that I dislike, everything seems to work fine
