Tailwind is great for improving pinterest performance. I can post to pinterest from anywhere using the chrome extension. Scheduling content is a breeze. The tribes feature is a great addition.
It doesn't allow posting to all social media platforms. There is a bit of a learning curve because of the number of features.
I needed to improve my Pinterest account using a tool to help with automation, scheduling, etc.
It allows me to schedule pins WAY in advance, and always lets me know when I am going to run out of pins in the queue, so I can stay on top of my game.
Occasionally the website will glitch and schedule duplicates of a pin, which isn't THAT detrimental to the brand, but it's definitely not a positive attribute.
The ability to batch schedule, which means only going in once a week for about an hour and planning out the entire week. It takes less time, and tailwind makes it really easy to organize everything. We are able to constantly reach out audience throughout all times of the day because we have our automated schedule set up that way.
How easy the app is to use and the time it saves me.
The monthly fee is a bit high for my budget.
Automated scheduling of pins and Instagram posts to save me time.
It's quick and easy to use. You can change the time slots if you want to better suit your industry which is useful.
If you forget to change the time slots you'll have pins going out at ungodly hours, which isn't good if your main target market is in the same time zone as you because who checks Pinterest at 3:00AM?
We can now schedule a batch of pins in one go.
It works well, saves time. It helps me get more views on Pinterest.
If you are just starting out, it's expensive.
It helps content creators post all at once in Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest, which saves a lot of time.
Tailwind is just a great tool for helping me scheduling for pinterest and its great all in one tool for marketing I use it for uploading images and schedule posting pins and measure and analyzing how much traffic is coming for which pin
When you add a link to your post and add the caption, it goes to the first line and not where I had the cursor. I do not want the link to be the first thing people read. The Tailwind Create is fun and helpful but still hard to use.
Fast styling sheet versatile selectors and colors shades and gradients and all every thing we do in the normal css 3 made easy here with just a little shortcuts words for the thing I want to do I can not wait for the day that Tailwind has a functionality for Twitter and Facebook, this would be my number one item for improvement
What I like best about tailwind is that I can use it to schedule my social media posts
What I dislike about tailwind is that there is kind of a learning curve and I have experienced some difficulties using it.
The problem that I am solving is that I don’t have to worry about having to post. I can simply schedule and forget. This is a benefit because it is one less thing on my to do list.
The scheduling function is my favorite feature in Tailwind. I can see at a glance what is on tap, reorder the schedule, choose new time slots, and fill up my calendar in short order.
When using tribes, my work would go much faster if the ADD to queue button was at the top of the pin to avoid scrolling.
Quicker scheduling of Pinterest content
Tailwind schedules all of my Pinterest pins to pin to many boards automatically. It saves me so much time then manually doing this process myself.
It can be very slow at times which is very frustrating.
It saves me a ton of time when my Pinterest pins are automated instead of me pinning manually.
I like being able to schedule posts and don't know any other tool that does that.
I don't like that it's not very user-friendly
being able to schedule ahead
I like how you can do a number of social posts at once (onviously), making it easy to develop a strategy and schedule. I also appreciated the hashtag suggestions.
Of course this is Instagram’s issue, but I wish I didn’t have to manually post. I also wish that there was a free option beyond the one month trial.
It was helpful to plan the exact time to post, causing me to more easily space out posts and reach viewers.
Good way to gauge initial Pinterest analytics.
Still growing and tougher to balance as Pinterest has their own version
Pinterest analytics
The newer option to schedule pins is a great feature. Seeing what specific pins were liked, commented on or repinned is nice and being able to sort that. Being able to look at the records beyond a week are important as well.
When I first used this product, it was to provide reporting to clients when Pinterest didn't have an ideal analytic reporting system. Now that Pinterest does, a lot of the features are unnecessary on the Tailwind dashboard. Since they have increased their payment plan, it is far too expensive for independent consultants to access to do monthly reports. The low tier plan only pays for scheduling and weekly reports only. That's not good enough to justify the price.
I was able to share important stats to clients related to what content had the most visibility, engagement, and repins, but I was paying $30 a month for only one account at a time. I did have to create different logins per account to even fully utilize the Tailwind application and couldn't have the ease of use to include multiple accounts without exorbitant pricing. As such, I realized the cost in time and/or money outweighed the benefits of this application and cancelled the company account without realizing that the plan didn't change and lost money for being charged for a bigger plan even though only my personal Pinterest account was connected.
The pin designer did create some pretty pins for me.
I thought I had cancelled the service because it was not positiviely impacting my views but then I found out they charged me for another year. Talked to customer service about my concern and they said I was out of luck even though I wasn't actively using their service. It's also very challenging and confusing to cancel their service which I believe they do on purpose to keep customers. Besides the bad service, the product is on the poorer side. The communities are very clicky and generally only share pins with a few other people. When someone did share one of my pins I believe it had zero impact on my page. I could be wrong but I feel like Pinterest was actually penalizing my page because I was posting with Tailwind. My Pinterest views almost doubled 6 months after I STOPPED actively using Tailwind which makes me think they were actually hurting my page. Based on my experience this service is mostly smoke and mirrors and doesn't provide substantial viewership results to support its high price. If you try to cancel then you may get suckered into paying for something you don't want. I recommend promoting your pins directly through Pinterest instead of spending money on this product.
Tailwind is looking to make Pinterest pinning easier and more effective. They make it easier to post pins but I do not believe they helped increase my page's viewership. For that reason alone, I don't recommend using the service.
The best feature of Tailwind was the ability to batch schedule Pins to Pinterest. Additionally, the SmartSchedule feature was helpful to an extent. Their marketing materials around Pinterest were also useful when Pinterest was more popular for my business niche.
The interface isn't exactly what I would call stimulating. It's basic and not very user-friendly if you're looking at it from an aesthetic perspective. Additionally -and this was really quite surprising considering how much users pay-dragging and dropping posts using the "smart shuffle" feature always had some sort of glitch. For a time, I used Tailwind Create for Pinterest Pins. The colors always looked dull and the designs were dated.
With Tailwind I was able to batch schedule pre-made Pinterest Pins so as to not have to manually post every single day. This allowed me to be able to plan my content calendar well in advance.
It USED to be an easy and efficient way to schedule social media posts. I loved the features and the results I saw from using Tailwind. But after some updates and changes in billing, it's now become an expensive digital paperweight.
When they update their product, it is super buggy. This latest update made Tailwind unusable. Even my billing pages won't load on any browser. They inexplicably downgraded my account to allow only 20 posts per month. I paid for the premium for a full year and I'm only 8 months into the year. I've reached out to support and have gotten no response after days. This product is now unusable and unfortunately I have months left that I already paid for. The company doesn't care and won't help.
The problems I have are unsolved. I've emailed their help desk and no repsonse. Their chat feature is not working for support. I've email every single email I could find of thiers. Hopefully SOMEONE repsonds.
Absolutely nothing. It didn't teach me anything I didn't already know, and it wasted my time.
Tailwind was a waste of time: it did not offer the one feature I wanted, which was to schedule a post and have the app post it. I might as well have put all of that information into a google calendar event that would alert me and I could copy-paste from there. I resent having gone through all the process of setting Tailwind up, downloading it on my phone, signing in multiple times, dealing with the glitchy demo post, all for nothing! And there's no way to log out on my phone internet browser or app? Sketchy! I will definitely warn others not to use Tailwind.
All I wanted was an app that would post social media posts I scheduled in advance: simple. But Tailwind still makes one leave the app, go to Instagram, find the photo on your phone, copy in the caption, add tags and location, and all the work of posting without the app, no value added. I realized only a waste of time!
