I really liked how Photoshop Lightroom offered so many options in editing our graphics. I thought the ability to crop the image was great.
I did not like how some features were hidden and you had to dig in the settings to find them, this caused time to be wasted.
This product really helped with us being able to created and edit our marketing materials to be some of the best in the industry. We customized our images and they look amazing now.
I have been using Lightroom for a long time and I absolutely love it. I love the easy user experience that comes along with the app. It is very easy to understand for new users.
The only thing I dislike about the app is that you have to pay to use it and you have to buy more presets.
Photoshop Lightroom has helped me edit pictures to make them useable for work purposes.
I like the simplified layout of Adobe Lightroom, as well as the wide range of technology and edits to choose from.
I dislike the backing up and catalog process.
I’m brining high quality photos with interesting edits and clean retouches.
I like that I can quickly move through hundreds of RAW photos to flag/rate, process, enhance, and finally export without leaving Lightroom. It makes for an efficient workflow and the Lightroom's ability to process the RAW photos is second to none.
When it comes to organizing photos I think it could be a little easier. You can create collections of photos to organize them for reference later . . . and there are smart collections that are designed to show photos based on certain attributes dynamically. However, you can't limit a smart collection to a specific collection, so it is always searching globally . . . which I think makes them less intuitive to use.
Mostly workflow after a photo shoot with hundreds of photos. I like to shoot everything in RAW so that I can use the full potential of a photograph when processing it. The workflow keeps it simple and limits it to just one program . . . I rarely go into Photoshop anymore except to do major retouching or composites.
Everything from the user interface to the powerful tools it offers, Lightroom is a photographers complete solution.
I'm not too thrilled that I can't add layers like in photoshop itself, but I guess that's the reason they're two separate pieces of software.
We're able to create images that promote our branding perfectly.
They combine many uses and functions in a compact, user friendly manner
I dislike how it may be hard to find some functions
marketing, design
I enjoyed learning more about photography through this app. You can literally edit ANYTHING within the photo from changing its colors to the exposure and even the sharpness of a photo. There are so many options to be really creative or just do basic photo editing.
Sometimes trying to find which change you've made within Lightroom that you want to keep can be a little bit of a pain. They try to make it easy for you by showing your history of changes, but you can't simply use "Command+Z" a bunch of times to get back to where you were.
Using Lightroom myself save my company from having to outsource to a more professional photography and gave me an opportunity to grow as an editor.
The interface for this program is fairly intuitive, which is much appreciated when training members of our team with little to no prior experience working with it. The price and flexibility are unmatched in my experience. I also appreciated their relatively early leap to offering certain functionalities in a mobile capacity.
When working with large batches of photos, it would be beneficial to have a stronger culling process. I currently use a different program for culling prior to import into Lightroom since I found the culling process within Lightroom to be rather clunky and certainly more time consuming.
This allows us to manage and catalog the large library of images that are provided to us by our industry colleagues on a yearly basis.
I enjoy the fact that it's a streamlined version of photoshop so its much easier to edit large batches of images. The program is like having Bridge and Photoshop combined
There is a slight learning curve but it isn't that bad to get through.
Learning to edit photos quickly and cleanly
It was very useful to be able to insert many images and load them automatically to the library folder, it is perfect to be able to select the best ones and reveal them with a default setting for all the photos if you wish, it has a variety of settings incredibly well elaborated, from basic adjustments to more complex and professional ones with which you can achieve outstanding effects in the images.
The options of map, book and projection are somewhat complex to use, it is not clear how to use them improves the functions of the tool, the publication service towards social networks seemed unnecessary, the way to access the folders and export files is not so efficient as expected, is something that can improve.
Some graphic content and production of real images or photorealism require a later intervention to add effects and adjust tones, light and dark, light and shadow and add some effect that allows the image to have a professional appearance.
Easy exporting of pictures, multiple adjustments
Hard to understand how to connect features on the different adobe setups
Photography editing
There are so many things you can do to edit your photos in the best way possible. This isn't just some mundane editor; you can tell the developers put a lot of thought into creating the app. The features are surreal and the quality/result of your images afterward are always so amazing. I love the "clarity" feature the most because it makes images really clear and crisp compared to other apps. I usually feel like after editing an image with Lightroom the photos look like they were shot on a professional camera and not a smartphone.
Perhaps, I wish it had fun filters to give options to those with a more creative or whimsical side. Other than that, it's a pretty good app.
Alongside being a developer, I manage social media accounts for different brands in the media and beauty industry, sp Photoshop Lightroom comes in handy whenever I need quality photos for our platforms. It has really sets the accounts that I manage apart from its competitors because the standards of our images are clearly different and just a lot more professional-looking.
I like it. To be able to edit two photos together is very smooth.
It makes the computer slow.aybe it's become of my laptop model.
Photographs of sites. And edits of site models. Make it more realistic.
I can easily take my idea of what my photos to look in my head and exicute it to reality. My favorite part is that I can copy and paste my settings or create presets of my favorite work to make my editing time decrease.
I don’t like how it’s a bit glitchy. I also wish Adobe would create something similar to Dropbox to link my finished photos to
I’m creating art which is my business. Lightroom helps me enhance my photos and color them to be mine. I realized that people hire me because they like my style. Shooting is one thing, but processing my photos with Lightroom is like 60% of the results (in my opinion).
Lightroom has all the essential photo editing tools and features that allow me to quickly adjust things like contrast, brightness, color balance, exposure and more. The settings can be fine tuned with great detail. I can almost always get the right look I want.
This software can be complicated to use if you haven't had much experience using it or other professional photo editing software. Just knowing what the controls do isn't enough to create quality photo edits. I think you have to have an eye for different styles and effects, which can take time to achieve.
Lightroom has given me tools to boost the quality of our photos. Having nicer photos has enhanced our branding and makes our products and services more outstanding to clients. Though using Lightroom can be complicated at times, it is much easier for me than using Photoshop.
Power of raw format modification. You can change almost anything in your photo, even a bit of polishing can be done. One can use specific lens correction lessen noise and change exposition etc. Although I use version 4 it is sufficient in photo editing.
I do not like that new cameras raw format is not supported directly and I need to convert it with a tool provided by adobe. It's weird that the converter couldn't be integrated into Lightroom. It's ok though. Price is way to high but I only saw one similiar program that could do what Adobe can.
Photo editing is faster and products are of better quality
I like the clean overall layout the best
I dislike that I need a creative cloud membership to use the program.
Quick photo editing and design. I can also do simple graphic design using Lightroom which is great.
Lightroom is much easier to learn Lightroom makes 90% of what a photographer needs Lightroom helps create an efficient workflow Saving hard disk space Lightroom is a complete image organization tool Development presets Work with mass photos Seamless integration with Photoshop Price, It's cheaper than Photoshop (you can buy the license for around € 130). Non-destructive edition It works on the original RAW and what it shows is a preview of the image when exporting it to another format (how it will be once exported to JPEG for example), but the original in RAW is not modified. This is very important, because Photoshop does and it's easy to lose the original images irretrievably. With Lightroom you will not have this problem.
It’s so slow. Before/after comparison mode is too slow on my machine to bother with (i5 with 8GB of RAM). It feels like it’s trying to do too many things at once. I definitely don’t need and don’t want all the panels to help manage collections. I don’t find the library/collection stuff helpful. It feels like it’s trying to take over my computer at times. Slap in my SD card, go to Import, it automatically selects every photo on the card and by default wants to copy the files into a new folder on the SD card. This is just wrong, wrong, wrong. Furthermore, if you later decide to move imported files to a new location from your OS, LR will still think they’re in the original location. Go to open them in LR, “file missing”. Back to import all over again I guess. *face palm* The menus are clunky, at times unresponsive and inconsistent in their behavior, and I suspect this ties in with it being so slow. Open up a photo, it’s loading, still loading… I’ll try zooming in. Loading, still loading, still loading… okay, try zooming in again. BOOM! It immediately zooms in and zooms out again like you clicked it twice. So now I’ll try zooming in again. Loading, still loading… *face palm* And browsing through many of the other menus is a similar experience. It seems that almost every time I have to click on All Photos at least two times to actually see all photos
Its intuitive and easy-to-use interface, together with the ability to store images in a practical and effective way, make Lightroom the perfect option for anyone who wants to work on the image. It allows to organize in a very effective way all your images, to put them labels, to share them in Facebook, to value them.
You can easily edit a batch of photos into one filter and still save on quality.
Photo editing is a bit limited here so you may have to edit on photoshop, which is two steps. A bit annoying.
Mass editing saves lots of time
Interface of the program, and the way to edit photos
The options to make html is a bit old but it’s OK
For passing RAW photos to JPEG
