Similar to photoshop, it’s considered a gold standard in editing, with a host of pre-sets available to help transform images in minutes. The platform is straightforward, and easy to use and makes it very easy to edit images using sliders, gradient, and brush adjustment tools. The platform is customizable and comes with numerous intelligence features such as facial detection that helps organize images easily.

I like that the program is easy to use with the current photoshop
I think there needs to be a little more instruction on how to use this app
Just using it to pair with p.s.
The thing I like best about Photoshop Lightroom is it's easy to use.
The thing that I dislike about Photoshop Lightroom is that it's hard to retouch an image.
The business benefits it provides is using it from my professional use and for school and continue to use it at work.
Lightroom stores all the edits made to your photos as XML data, making it easy to undo or revert bad edits, as well as reapply the same adjustments (such as white balance correction or vignette) to multiple proofs. Catalog organization can be done many different ways according to each user's style of working; some use keywords, some collections, some color tags. A very flexible and fast way of sorting through photos.
As with all current Adobe creative products, I dislike the cloud-only option. While I appreciate always having the latest features, I'd rather upgrade on my time and my terms, especially since central to Lightroom is it's engine, which an "update" of can drastically affect a photo.
I've been able to easily backup and archive past clients work in my own system, as well as never having to worry about losing data or making multiple copies because of specific crops desired. I also really like the ability to do my main, basic adjustment in Lightroom, move from within it to make specific edits in Photoshop, and having a copy automatically be in Lightroom when I'm done. The integration is first class.
I use Lightroom all the time for business and personal use. it is an amazing software to edit photos. Although you can't make advanced edits as you may do in Photoshop, it's great for basic edits.
I wish I could filter my photos by edited photos.
I use it to make my clients look good for our magazines.
Lightroom is both simple and comprehensive. I can upload, edit, and export within seconds, however, it is a powerful tool that can be used for so much more. Even if my original image is crappy, within a few strokes I can change it from scrap material to useable! Lightroom makes it realistic for anyone to create beautiful images.
Although it is powerful, the different tools it has (like web, slideshow, album etc) can be difficult to understand and navigate. There are several aspects of Lightroom that I do not understand, so I just leave them alone and do what I know.
I can work a shoot, upload the images, edit them, export them, and have them sent off for marketing use within an hour. I love it's simplicity and speed. It as comprehensive or as basic as the user needs it to be.
I love how easy and organized lightroom is. It allows me to organize different photos and edit them to the amount that I want
I dislike that I have a lot more to learn about using it to it’s full extent.
It is very organized and efficient
I love how easy Lightroom makes my sorting and retouching process. Lightroom offers the opportunity to use presets for filters, and to create your own, which is incredibly helpful when editing hundreds of photos. Exporting through Lightroom also provides many options for file names and folder locations, as well as giving the opportunity to export to a previous location.
The only thing I dislike is that I have to switch to photoshop to edit fly-aways without them actually looking edited.
I'm saving time in editing, sorting, and naming my photos through using Lightroom. The program has greatly diminished the wait time for my clients.
Having been originally taught to use Photoshop to edit photos, my mind was completely blown when I started using Lightroom and could do batch edits. The workflow was so much smoother, and the setup of the software itself is very user friendly. It really didn't take me long at all to feel like I understood the basics and could get right to work.
I don't know that there is much I dislike about Lightroom. I'm not deep enough into the design world to pick up on the things that could be better. For me, Lightroom does exactly what I need it to do and improved my workflow enormously, so it's hard to think of things I don't like! I'm sure I've had little moments here and there where I've wished something was better, but in general it's a great program.
Mass amounts of batch edits. I used to do a lot of photography (I still do on occasion when I travel), and being able to easily edit large quantities of photos at once, while still being able to add individual edits to each photo, was a huge benefit. It also creates consistency across all of your photos so that you are presenting the same look and feel, which is really important!
It's a full-service platform that isn't absurdly confusing to use! For someone who is a talented photographer, knows how to masterfully use a camera, but perhaps has a more challenging time learning and re-learning various photo apps, Lightroom is THEE solution. Very clear, very well-designed, not lacking in any area that I can think and I use this platform almost daily.
As with any Adobe platform, intermittently one will have to deal with it being a little slow or quitting unexpectedly, but in Lightroom, my work is usually not lost or affected when this happens!
I am able to deliver complete galleries to my clients much faster than when I've used other platforms to edit. I can often deliver SAME DAY - you heard that right. I edit, export, and upload usually within at least the first 48 hours. Lightroom has become like second nature in my editing process and that really helps build confidence in my clients.
user interface with sliders and the workflow of tools
performance to change from catalog to develop mode
Cataloguing
I love Lightroom for fine tuning photos. Photoshop can do the basics, but to really get a photo where you need it, you should use Adobe Lightroom.
I am not a huge fan of the new cloud-based Adobe Lightroom. It defaults to the cloud version instead of the locally installed version.
I use Adobe Lightroom to fine tune real estate photography so that they can look the most appealing to clients and agents.
I really like the feeling of lightroom, is like to be in a dark room, and you can also have a library with all your work. The virtual copy of a file is great, you can change setting and try different solution without any lost of information, and saving disk space. The sharing of the image between different device iphone or ipad works easily and very well
I think that the worst is the confusion that adobe is making in this powerful tool. now you have a website: lightroom.adobe.com, where the developing features are poor and the Gb provided are limited, the on premise app is now splitted in lighroom classic (the old great tool) and a new lightroom CC that is not sharing the same library and is a clone of the website with same limit, it's hard to understand why..
The benefit is on the quality of the work and of the image created. When i start using lightroom I don't need and i don't lookk in any other software to make my work
Lightroom has more features than most photographers will ever need. Despite that, every photographer will benefit from using Lightroom. The number of features really can't be understated.
Sometimes things may not be super intuitive. Lightroom doesn't alter the original file itself (which can be helpful) but the file management isn't familiar to most users
Helps create great photos of events
Simple to use, and has best user interface compared to other editing programs.
Can be glitchy and seemed bogged down when exporting photos, but that could be due to limited RAM on computer.
Bulk editing has allowed me to get work out much faster to clients.
I love the automated and batch processing features. It really simplifies my editing process.
I don't like the file management process. It feels clunky, but I do like that it allows for version control and unlimited undos. Lightroom has saved me from myself several times.
I use Lightroom to edit photos for marketing campaigns.
I love that I can organize and sort my photos visually, and edit a number of photos quickly.
Would love for lightroom and photoshop to function as a single program, but other than that, I have no qualms.
Photo editing and orgaization
I love how easy this software is for us to use, with the tutorials on YouTube it is very easy to self teach. There are numerous tools around the Internet that allow you to download very’s presets if you are unaware of more in depth side of processing techniques.
There is nothing I dislike about the software, they have built up a very thorough platform. The cloud also allows you to access digital assets on numerous machines which is great.
We edit photos for social media, and this allows us to post the most high-quality photos we can.
Lightroom is very user-friendly, yet has so much capability. It offers so many ways to edit photos, and is very intuitive in terms of usage. It is also popular enough to have tutorials offered on YouTube or through Adobe if you prefer hands-on training, rather than using it to figure it out.
The auto filters that are given aren't THAT helpful; however, you can buy other filter packages and import them into Lightroom.
Lightroom makes editing SO MUCH EASIER. I can't imagine how much longer it would take to edit photos to my liking using any other software.
Photo tagging makes sorting so much faster!
There's not much to dislike, really. It's lightweight (so it runs fast) and powerful. It's not for heavy editing, but still does a lot of beautiful manipulation.
I use it to sort and organize my photos mostly
I love using Lightroom. I can do most quick adjustments in develope. It’s great for keeping photos in order. I love keywords.
Not much to dislike other than on mobile version doesn’t have watermarking.
Organize client photos and upload to pixieset to work with clients through pixieset.
