Big Commerce move with the time and have a very easy to use platform. Great new support system. Love the theme option available and how easy they are to customize.
Nothing that I can think of support wasn't great before but in the last 2 years it has improved and is very easy to use now and I have had quick response and resolved problems.
Collecting customer sales and easily transferring accounts data into Quickbooks online. Again an easy to use system. Also the analytics is a great source for customer info, products and sales.
The customer service is the best I have ever worked with. I always get a friendly customer service adviser the could help me build my website and help me make changes when I needed. They were always knowledgeable, understanding and took their time helping me to build my website. The best part was all of the advisers were local and I never had to wait more than a few minutes and I was greeted almost immediately with someone I could understand and could understand me.
Some of the web templates are limited in the way I want to configure them ( font, colors ETC...)
I had a website that was 11 years old and was on a different platform. the older website was constricted and had a lot of navigation and code problems. Bigcommerce was up to date and offered a new and much needed refresh to my older website. Also, just as important, the back-end of the site is easy to use and make sense
Very friendly user interface. Little or no learning curve. You can pretty much jump right in and start creating. And when you do get into a jam, plenty of documentation and very helpful support staff.
Well... it won't do everything... but if you know a little HTML and are willing to roll up your sleeves, you can pretty much accomplish everything necessary for an effective e-commerce store.
We've not only been able to solidify our presence and brand using Bigcommerce, we've also effectively built "boutique" sites for our customers which really solidifies our position as solutions provider in their eyes.
We are a small business. However when browsing us on the internet you would never know it. Bigcommerce allows our business to stand head to head with the big guys. Maybe we don't offer as many products as they do but we look just as good. And on top of all that, I can do it all myself in my spare time. No need to hire someone and then try to get them to understand what I want. I simply do it myself. The "technical" links like getting USPS freight charges automatically calculated, setting up with a secure certificate, linking to credit card processors, or PayPal is easy. Many easy tutorials are available and the help personal aver very helpful.
I would like a little easier process for "selling a item" and then having large numbers of options (in our case designs that would go on blankets). Currently I have difficulty showing options large enough to see. Thus I have had to switch them around and "sell the design" and then pick a product (blanket) to put it on.
In a small business growing the business base is always a challenge. This allows us to put our "store front" in front of thousands of people. It also allows us "no issues" payment methods. Communications with our customers are also made easy.
Best dang support team there is. Easy to use back end. Flexibility in design and when I need extra support the super design team gets it done. Really, they're all priced relatively the same, who could ask for more!
So far, so good. I have had not issues that have caused disappointment.
Slight function changes, slight display changes, processes, and dnr changes.
This platform offered me the ability to do everything I wanted to do without spending hours coding. The integration of Payment Platforms, Real Time Shipping, Ebay was fast and accurate.
The only thing I would like added is the ability to customize order status.

Being a #'s guy I love the analytics BigCommerce furnishes for us. I can keep track of our online business in real time. The way BigCommerce connects with other online services helps me work better as a coffee roaster.
The BigCommerce App could do a better job of tracking specifics on orders.
Our goal as a coffee roaster is to be able to roast coffee anywhere in the USA. BigCommerce is giving us the opportunity to do that. After our bricks and mortar business our website is our 2nd largest revenue stream.
My store was easy to build, and I have over 300 customized product pages My store looks amazing My store is easy to access by my customers, navigate, and complete purchases Adding products and web content is a snap Making changes to product and web content is a snap Customer support is over the top - extensive help pages, but never long at all if you want to talk with someone - AND the "someones" always really know what they're doing and are extremely courteous Analytic tools are amazing. In an instant I can see what's going on, make comparisons of different business time periods, and track my business growth Can easily find past orders for clients and customers, customer info (never CC info, which is NOT stored!) Very easy to process orders for my customers if they prefer to do it that way Merchant gateway processing options are basically anything you want New pricing about to be initiated is kind to me and appreciative of my loyalty Finally, I can't think of ONE negative and would recommend BigCommerce to anyone serious about running a smooth Internet business without the headaches I haven't taken advantage of their SEO services, but that's just me and my business priorities/time I haven't taken advantage of their shipping services, but that's just because I already had a system in place
Absolutely nothing. When I've needed help with some of the trickier aspects of products, such as - for example - product options and option rules, I've quickly been able to become informed. Sometimes it's simply searching the extensive online support resources, but if time is short and I need help NOW, it's a phone call away and no one says, "You could have found this out for yourself with a little more digging..."
I really don't feel like I have business problems, but I've been using BigCommerce as my e-store host for several years. Maybe that's why!

Inability to design checkout to meet design needs.
The ability for customers to not only check us out on line but, shop, ship and pay in one visit as well as see other services we have to offer
We were with Yahoo (now Aabaco) for about ten years and wanted to make a switch for some time, but the process seemed daunting. However, when Yahoo decided to sell off to Aabaco, that gave us a reason! We researched many options and landed with Bigcommerce because it is local in Austin, Texas, and more importantly, their platform is user friendly, and customer service is unsurpassed. I feel, as a new customer, like they want our business. They seem as though they want us to succeed and this gives us security to put our financial lifeline into their hands. I'm glad we made the decision to make the change - wished we would have done it sooner!
When they migrated our site, it did take some time to work on it to get it right. At first, we were paying for our regular plan while we were working on the site for three months (we engaged in the switch during the busy time of the year for our business) and we wasted $1350 - but then, they offered us a pause plan and that's what we are on now, giving us time to work on our site before launch.
Being on an antiquated system with Yahoo, we have found there are more options available to us, the site looks fresh, and more functional. Again, the customer service is the best we'll ever find.
