Super fast WooCommerce hosting with realiability.
I wish the staging option was user-friendly.
I wanted a reliable and a fast host for my WooCommerce store. That's what Cloudways is solving.
The UI is so simple to use and for just a little bit of knowledge you can spin up some servers and even deploy your code via Git. Also having the menu structure simplified you can find what you need.
The way that you have to SSH into the server and run commands without being dropped in the home directory was a little strage but ohter than that I am happy with the interface
Auto provisioning a server from CW to something like Digital Ocean is something that has made my life easier. Before using CW I used to have to understand everything about a VS host before deciding to deploy.
I own an agency and host quite a few sites on several servers. I like that managing them is easy. At the beginning, there was a slight learning curve, but their support was always there to help. The platform is also a good value.
Only a few things come to mind. Setting up email for websites was a challenge at first, but with their support's help, I was able to figure it out. Now it's pretty easy! Other than that, I wish they had an easy way to password protect a developement site (not staging – they do have that).
We needed a place to reliably host websites for our clients. Cloudways allows us to manage hosting through their interdface and makes the entire process easy and simple.
1. Cloudways consistently produces faster load times than some of the other hosting providers I've tried in the past. 2. It has very impressive uptime and rarely lags or stutters.
I find the interface a bit outdated. It was frustrating in the beginning to get to grips with how to set it up properly. The admin dashboard is a bit all over the place and definitely needs to be simplified in my opinion
I've used Cloudways both for work and for my own projects. We made the switch after experiencing constant performance issues with our old hosting service. It has its ups and downs, but Cloudways has definitely been a level above the others for us. Thanks to it, we've reduced our load times, and don't lose visitors to performance issues that much any more.
Cloudways allows our website to flourish without limitations, and their feature set makes it easy to try out prototypes and changes in just a few minutes. All without risking any damage to the live website. On top of that, their solution is highly flexible, and a lot of the backend stuff gets taken care of by Cloudways which frees up valuable resources.
Cloudways can seem a little more intimidating for users coming from shared hosting.
Cloudways lets us be in control of all of the resources we pay for. This means that if we want, we can host multiple websites without paying extra. This is perfect for when we want to try new things but with different domains.
Easy to use, easy to scale, it has all the tools you need to manage your servers and apps, without having to use a terminal. Apps are already optimised for wordpress, staging, etc...
Some weird bugs that have been ongoing for a while (added domains don't work half the time, you need to refresh the page every time you add a domain for it to work). Also you need to lone your server to scale down when on Digital Ocean.
It simplifies the process of hosting and managing wordpress and woocommerce sites and keeping them backed up. All the tools are in one place instead of relying on multiple services.
Cloudways CDN, fast speed, higher uptime
Its good, nothing negative at the moment.,
CDN so my users has high speed anywhere on the earth.
Cloudway's Support team are always very helpful. Whenever we have an issue, live chat is available to help. Our premium partner level support always results in quick turnaround.
Cloudways unfortunately don't allow downscaling of servers, instead opting to only upscale. However the range of providers and server specs available is very suitable.
Cloudways primarily solves our issue of managing several VPS servers at once while having to manage backups. This process is managed for us, saving us time.
Easy few clicks set up allows you to be onboarded very quickly. Overall, servers performance is very good compared to other cloud services providers. Support is very helpful and ready to assist you even with technical scenarios if something is not working as expected.
Nothing to dislike about Cloudways. Some aspects could still be improved, but this is not so critical, such as DNS hosting, which will allow using cloudways to host your email.
Cloudways solves the problem of simple and fast hosting, especially for WordPress. You don't need technical knowledge to host your websites with Cloudways, it can be done with just a few clicks.
How easy it is to deploy WordPress. That you aren't limited to only hosting 1 instance per server, you can host many instances on one. It's cost-efficient even if you only have a few small sites because you only need 1 server. If you're late on paying your bill they don't rush you to catch up. Knowledgeable support through live chat.
Getting an HTTPS certificate is simple enough, but if you request too many you have to contact support.
They've made their user interface much faster where before it was rather sluggish.
- Wonderful support, never let me down. - Variety of cloud providers, no bias! - Creating an app takes minutes and multiple apps work seamlessly - Setting up staging, clones in a few clicks - Breeze, Varnish Cache, Performance tweaks out of the box - Your servers, easy access via SSH
- the dashboard can be better - autoscaling options are not available - option to deploy scaled Wordpress with load balancer is not available or not obviously available
- deploying performant woocommerce web applications
I can deploy a new website or application in two minutes, without having to do much thinking. I mainly work with Wordpress which is well supported, but deploying a simple PHP app is just as easy. If something isn't easy, tech support have you covered every time, and within a minute or two. They have often done their best to help with issues that are technically out of scope, so I've learned a lot from them.
The only downside I have found to date is the partial support of Python, but I'm still investigating to find out how good or not the support really is.
Migrating all my sites over was super-easy with their Wordpress migrator - it took me an afternoon to migrate and test 14 sites. The main benefit is speed, partly due to having proper cloud infrastructure and a choice of data centers, partly down to Varnish. Speed has had a knock-on effect on SEO and rankings for all my clients. I have also been able to stop managing all my own backups and leave it to Cloudways to handle it.
The ease with which you can migrate Wordpress websites to the new setup server thanks to the Cloudways migrate plugin. Ease of use even for less technical users. Ability to add team members. Competitive pricing. Price estimator.
Not that much to dislike. After a couple of months of use, everything was worked rather smoothly.
Cloudways is a perfect option for hosting because it can scale up whenever your website or app needs it.
Speed and Support system of the hosting
prices are a little bit high and for business email and cdn you have to pay more ( as competitors are providing it for free) but as far as quality is concerned cloudways has no match
ok so after trying multiple hostings such as Namecheap, go daddy, hostinger and siteground i finally decided to move on to cloudways by multiple suggestions in my fellow SEOs groups and pretty much everyone recommended me to go for vultr high frequency on cloud ways. i joined cloudways back in November 2020 now its august 2021 and I am very happy with my decision because the biggest issue I faced is the support system on other hostings and the secondly is speed. speed on cloudways is mind-blowing if your developer properly optimizes your site.
Vultr 4GB high performance has an outstanding upload & download speed.
Cloudways web hosting had performed great so far.
No.
It can provide a high flexibility to choose between different servers. I can find one to meet my budget and necessity.
The user interface would be more user friendly. The main function could locate in a more accessible place.
It provided a reliable server so that I would not need to have a IT specialist to handle the server. It also provide 7/24 support.I could get help even after normal working hours.
The cloudways platform features are easy to set up, scale and migrate to from a traditional web hosting environment. I'm saving $100's a month on hosting fees and couldn't be happier.
Too many clicks and logins to get to support tickets (if needed). Should just auto log me in, no? I also found that the CDN app is a bit lacking. It should offer the ability to have a custom URL for your CDN that you can set up as a CNAME record on your domain name. Instead, you get a long ugly URL for your CDN assets, and getting a customized address requires cloudways support intervention.
I had been hosting with a traditional hosting company for the past 20 years (no joke) and paying out the wahazoo for dedicated servers. As my business needs have shrunk somewhat over the years l was able to migrate to a much more compact and scalable solution with cloudways and save myself $100's every month. I couldn't be happier.
Reliability, always on, its so simple to used, well documented
Price, it could be cheaper, we want put more servers but its expensive.
Ecommerce hosting
Getting to host my websites on servers like Digital Ocean and AWS, without worrying about the technical aspects.
Less payment gateway options. It would have been great if they had a direct Indian Payment option apart from Paypal.
No longer have to rely on Share Servers. I can have my own server, which is 100% optimized and managed according to my needs.
I think platform is the best. Easy and clear to use.
I would be perfect if platfor be in spanish
Faster wordpress for all my sites and a great price.
