I love the fact that you can mention people in the comment and assign people certain tasks that you layout. You can set up many projects, do tasks, and subtask to get the project done. I love how it notifies you by email the different updates that are done to the task itself.
What I do not like is how much it costs when you upgrade and make a project and if you add someone to it, you have to pay for that person also when they are just watching.
I work in Real Estate and it really helps with tasks for Maintenance to get done. They can also upload photos to show that the task has been completed.
I like that you can collaborate with someone on tasks, and you can each see progress. I have been using the program as a task manager as I work from home. My supervisor is able to see my task goals, and we are able to discuss them through comments.
In creating a task, I wish the calendar function automatically popped up to add a goal date. Furthermore, I would like to connect freedcamp to my other calendars (google, outlook). I am also not sure if there is an app for the program.
Freedcamp is a way to collaborate while working from home. It also a program used to track progress on projects. It is beneficial because it can streamline the process of task work and communication. Instead of constantly emailing someone about task updates, they can find them in the program with the comments feature.
Freedcamp is simply a pleasure to use, bringing projects to life. Projects can be managed in one place, without having to jump between multiple disconnected programs. From Todo/Task lists, Milestones, Time Tracking, Invoicing, the ability to Invite other users into a project and so much more. It's constantly evolving too, with features regularly being added and updated. Customer support is super responsive, which is a standout feature in its own right.
It's difficult to find a negative to be honest but I guess it would be that that it's updated quite regularly (via regular scheduled slots), which creates an access issue for me personally sometimes. The developers do choose quiet times to do this however since I'm in the UK (and they aren't), due to the time difference I often find myself unable to use it on a Saturday morning whilst updates are being pushed. The slight inconvenience is still a small price to pay for what has become one of my favourite programs.
It streamlines project management from start to finish.
- good range of functionality without being overly complex - free version has more group functionality than other similar apps - they offer sponsored plans for non-profit organisations
- limited options for progress status (Not Started, In Progress, Completed) - would be good if can give a % - need to manually change your notification settings, as the default settings will bombard you with notification emails
We are a small non-profit organisation with most of the team working collaboratively on many concurrent project activities, each with many tasks. Using Freedcamp is helping us to keep on top of who is doing what, and what else needs to be done. Almost everyone in the team has never used a project management system before, but they have adapted to Freedcamp quite easily.
I've used so many project management / task trackers in the last 12 years but freedcamp is truly the best for internal and external input. You can easily assign access to clients and consultants and the user interface is really easy to understand.
I wish freedcamp would make some improvements to their kanban / milestone features. They're not fully fledged out. They work but it takes some time to figure out how to use them.
I'm using freedcamp for internal product development / task tracking and external client project management.
There are so many things to like about Freedcamp. Ease of use is probably number one. It is very intuitive and straightforward to use, but it has a lot of features too. I use it just for my project management, and it does everything I need it to do. The API is also straightforward to set up and use. I built an interface from an application I wrote that creates tasks for me to review and sets the due date to remind me to get things done. Pricing is also great. The free version has a lot of features, but to move up a tier is very inexpensive. I signed up for the free version, then the minimalist level to set due dates.
Honestly, I don't have anything I dislike about Freedcamp. They are constantly improving the product and adding features. If I found anything to be annoying, I would not be a paying customer!
I built an app that creates tasks for me to review daily. It removed the requirement of me reviewing all data every day and highlights the significant changes for the day. Doing this saves me time knowing that out of 60 items, only three or four need any attention.
Freedcamp practically helped me organize every task and subtask in a well-visualized manner and with proper team involvement. After we used Freedcamp for our internal projects and tasks, we extended using it for our clients. We became very confident to onboard them on their specific project and we start communicating via Freedcamp.
The mobile application needs more attention. Otherwise, the desktop version satisfies our needs fully.
Pain: - Unorganized Tasks - Unorganized flow of process - Whom is doing what - Deadlines Value: - Tasks & Subtasks with deadlines and allocated team members - Very professional interface in front of our clients - Items are not limited only to tasks. Calendar Events, Milestones & Etc
I enjoy the various options to view and filter information: calendar, kanban, list, Gantt, or the new grid view.
Nothing major at the moment. I do wish you could favorite project colors. Personally, I would like to color-code certain types of jobs without copy and pasting hex codes. And when you're in full screen mode for a task I wish the followers toggle would be pinned to the top for when scrolling through longer exchanges you don't have to scroll to the top to add/remove someone.
I work in marketing for the casino industry. I use Freedcamp to traffic all the creative requests that come in from various departments (Hotel, Casino, Food & Beverage, Sales, HR and Entertainment) to make sure they get logged and completed on time. I enjoy the options Freedcamp gives me to visualize information when tasks are due so I can prioritze as needed. I like that you can enable/disable certain modules depending on project needs. It is robust in features and affordably priced.
The organization for the projects that we are workeing on
I have not had any issues whatsoever to speak of.
Keeping track of files for specific projects
The task lists and subtasks, that can easily be moved around and the timelines/dates that can easily be changed or renewed for the next project year. Striking through the tasks as they are completed is easy and satisfying!
The email reminders sometimes focus on the same tasks, more task variety in the email notification would be nice.
It provides a platform where each member of the team can review project tasks and be assigned to different staff members, so it makes it easy to delegate. As a non-profit environmental organization, we have a lot of different projects on the go. We have a lot less tasks that are forgotten thanks to freedcamp.
Freedcamp is amazing for organizing projects and tasks. Our staff loves the ability to create tasks by sending an email. We also love the ability to track the time spent on projects because it helps us to calculate our functional expense allocation (nonprofit). You can also tag users in a project to make sure they get an email notification, which is a feature we love and use often!
Two features that I think would improve Freedcamp: 1. The ability to set up a vacation responder. That way users are notified when they assign a task to you, that you will not be able to tend to the project until you return. 2. The ability to assign two people to a task. "Everyone" is an option but sometimes the task just involves two people.
1. Project management - our organization includes six chapters and there are a lot of projects! 2. Time management - less time spent organizing and managing projects. That way more time can be spent completing them. 3. Time tracking - It helps us organize our projects and the corresponding time completing them into buckets. Then we can properly report our functional expense allocations.
The system is incredibly easy to use. I have been using it for several years and they have been making consistent and impressive updates over that time.
I only wish you could "hide" certain tasks from other users assigned to a project
Helping keep track of onboarding details
The ability to organize tasks into projects, lists, tasks, sub-tasks I like calendar feature. The ability to email a task in priority labels project start date
Nothing, all good. Can't think of anything I didn't like the phone app very much, but i don't have any specific reason, i don't remember. I just use the web desktop version
I get less overwhelmed with my to do lists, they become more doable It's also easy to present a project plan to a coworker
I like that you can see your tasks in so many ways, calendar, to do list, weekly. And it's easy to add sub-tasks and add deadlines for them. I also like that you can create a template for future projects. Thanks!
I would like more color, more backgrounds, more fun fonts.
It's organizing my projects and without this, I'd be in trouble.
Easy to use, easy to organize into categories, recurring task options
completed tasks don't go away once checked off.
Freedcamp reminds me of my daily tasks. It allows me to set up recurring tasks to keep me on track.
The balance between pricing and functionality! I have used it for almost a year with Internal Projects! and it has been a valuable tool to get things done!
I would like to have more functionalities in the mobile app, like access to files, discussion, bugs, etc.
Transparency in Project Management Reports, Follow-up on tasks and centralized access to information.
After testing dozens of project management software, finding Freedcamp was like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. All of the other software we tested had some things that we liked and other things that we needed were missing. But Freedcamp has everything my agency needed. It is extremely user friendly so that even our less tech-savvy employees are able to easily use it. We also really like how you can share some aspects of a project with people while having the ability to not share all aspects of that project with them.
The only thing that I dislike about Freedcamp is that it does not provide a Gantt chart.
We are using Freedcamp to ensure that all areas of a project are being attended to properly and within a reasonable timeframe. Before using a project management software, our agency found that as projects kept getting added to people's plates, things were getting lost and forgotten about without a proper way to keep everything organized.
So easy and intuitive to use. Let's me keep all project files in one place, along with a calendar of milestones. Helps keep me in track.
Um, a cleaner more modern interface would be nice.
Keep up with multiple projects that are running at the same time.
The company mission is what pulled me in, but the ease of use is what keeps me!
Short learning curve and I can add team members easily.
Organization and communication.
