Clean look, easy to build sites that feel modern

SEO. I understand that this is aninternal tool focused platform, but I feel there should be a toggle if people want to enable SEO.

to turn our airtable data indo a nice looking webwites and directory system.

How easy and practical it was to use Glide. It literally designs itself! Super easy for newbies to understand and fun to use.

So far, for me, the purpose of glide goes according to my needs. Nothing to dislike so far.

Integrations

It is very user-friendly and simple to navigate. I am a high school student who used this software for a project, and my team members and I successfully completed our app with this software!

While simple to use, a downside of using Glide as an app is that there is not too much variation in the basic setup of the app. I found that the setup fit my needs, but someone who might want to get more creative might not appreciate it.

Glide helped my team members and I designed an app meant to address a social problem, and we successfully did this in a way that was accesible and easy to learn so that our app was complete.

I liked the quick ability to figure out what went wrong and the customer service.

The biggest downside I could see is just the free limits of usage for services.

1. Great tool for no code beginners since it has a simple UI unlike other no code tools. 2. Can build simple as well as really complex apps. 3. Glide has a really wide variety of drag and drop features like copy to clipboard button, email button etc which is not available in competitors like bubble.

Not scalable unless you take the enterprise plan since there are limits on number of updates users can make. Everything else is great'

I am a marketing graduate with absolutely no experience in coding or developing apps. Glide with its simple UI is giving me the option to create an app out of a simple google sheet.

The templates were great to use. I liked being able to search for different categories for what we needed and be able to customize the template to meet our needs. We could add in a lot of our personal branding to make it look custom.

I would like to see better reporting from the input. I would also love to be able to have it integrated with other programs to help with input. We are having to manually enter a lot of information that would be better ported over.

We are using it as an employee recognition and reward app. it has been great to develop however we are still working out the kinks and trying to figure out the best way to get all of our employees imported into the system.

Glide allowed us to launch in a few weeks instead of months which allowed us to prove the concept without spending a lot of time and effort.

Many functionalities that we wanted to build are not possible, therefore constraining us to the point that we might migrate in the future to another platform or a custom development.

I love the way Glide looks. It is like having a well-developed app without paying tons of money. You can do many things to personalize your experience according to your brand, and I love that. My clients love how it looks. There is a strong community that helps a lot to resolve issues, and that is very very valuable.

- Sometimes, the app is slow and takes a lot to load content. - Although Glide does not work with code, there are many very complex things to do. Still, having a solid community helps a lot to resolve issues. - It would be great to have drag-and-drop features on the Layout page to make things easier. - I hate the fact that when you have a visibility page disabled, every click that you make will change the page to a visible one. Worst thing on Glide. - Pricing is very high for local currency (Colombia), costing four times more than other subscription services. - To be honest, the fact that you can't upload PDF's is making me consider another platform.

I used to design exercise programming for clients on Canva or Excel. Glide saved me a lot of time and it did a much better job presenting my programs. Know my personal brand looks solid and customers love it.

Simple to use

Glide is quick and easy to start with, in fact, it is one of the most intuitive no-code app builders out there, compared to the competition.

It has lack eCommerce component support, has limitations in data formatting, and gets snappy in case of complex use cases as it has limitations.

The thing that I love the most about Glide as a whole, is it's ease of use and simple drag-and-drop user interface. The familiarity of spreadsheets also helps me design my app, and data columns quicker.

While Glide is amazing, the apps tend to work a little slow even on flagship Apple devices in the company. The lack of custom branding is also disappointing. None of these issues are however major.

Glide allows me to make effortless, and quick apps for my business. Instead of using boring spreadsheets, I'm able to display complex data like order deliveries in a beautiful UI that's available to all my eployees.

Glide is very ergonomic and easy to start with . The free templates are great to discover the potential of glide . The connection with Google sheet is the best way to start for a real beginner .

The increase of price in the last years for an individual / teacher is the weaknesses to keep working with glide . It needs to have an affordable price for individual not creating project with the goal to be sold .

Data visualisation

Very well designed and easy to use. It was incredible having a working app in a matter of minutes after connecting my Airtable base.

There are no SEO tools or ways to monetize your app in a freemium way as far as I can tell. The design options are decent but could give more optionality. This seems very much optimized towards creating internal apps, not apps for a more public audience.

An easy and fast way to create PWAs from an Airtable database.

The free tier allows you to quickly and easily create a prototipe and share it with potential users. There use of spreadsheets as underlying database is flexible and convenient for many use cases.

The free tier is quite limited on the number of rows you can store in the spreadsheet. The apps cannot be edited from a mobile device, so you need a computer to be able to edit and configure your app.

It allows rapid prototyping and interating using simple and intuitive drag and drop ui elements. It also provides a way to restrict access to the app and the data in case it's needed.

It was really easy to setup and build what I needed.

Pricing has increased and when my credit card expired, I lost my grandfathered pricing which really felt like a "gotcha" and not really user friendly.

I am currently using Glide for a user directory with a map function.

The unique design, and simplicity of creating apps makes Glide an excellent tool for anyone. Everyone in business knows how to make spreadsheets, but not everyone has the experience to make complex apps. Thanks to Glide, the power of creating apps reaches a larger group of users.

There isn't much that I dislike about Glide, overall it's a very stable and easy to use tool. I could only complain about the lack of a native app to create and edit your apps.

Glide allows me to share beautiful websites, that show clients all the benefits of my business, with minimal effort and zero coding required. It's increased my business performance, and helps me reach a larger scale audience.

I like that I can automate processes for my RnD team. For example easy tools for analytic reports that can easily be used close to the machine since its already available on tablets!

I did not like, that I have some limitations on design. I would like if the system was more flexible when it comes to designing the frontend so I can make a cool cooperate design.

With Glide we can interact with our product development team and our external analytical team with ease. From new prodcuts to scan to final analytical reports, all in one hand with the Glide App.

Glide is a very nice solution, but what I love most about them is the template directory that will help build what you need easily and quickly,

Glide is good but sometime I feel like it's crowded and the website is not well structured to only show you what you need.

Beside being an easy solution to drrag and drop for building apps, glide is really helping us when working with different level of IT-level people. Not everyone involved in a project is IT oriented, but with Glide, everyone can participate.

I am an educator and needed an app to work with my students. There is some learning curve to figuring out how to design a Glide App. The Forum was quite helpful in steering me towards solutions that worked. I ended up designing an app that worked well for my needs. It took a few hours. - ease of use - responsive customer service

It takes a few hours and some effort to understand how Glide works. This will be a learning curve because it is unlike other common software. They have good materials, however sometimes I would get lost and frustrated.

I needed a mobile app and have no coding skills. Using drag and drop was the perfect solution for my needs. It really saved the day for me and my team. I recommend it.

How easy it was to use without requiring a developer to assist.

I wish there were more robust templates available, especially templates that are built around complex and/or nuanced processes & approvals.

It was useful in working on a prototype for a media traffic management app for our media agency.

I have tried many no-code platforms from Bubble, Softr, Adalo, Webflow, etc. The issue with them is that it is either too complex and need a familiar background in programming to get started, lack a lot of complex logic to do simple actions which means a user does need to use code, layout isn't the best, documentation can not be helpful and a handful of other stuff. With Glide you get a lot of complex tools right out the box. Distance calculation which a lot of platforms don't have, review button, favorite button, advanced logic, actions, automatically inserted Map Box so no set up on your end,and so much more. The documentation is not only well detailed but short and easy to digest. There are also video alternatives. Glide also comes with it's own data editor which I find to work excellently. Of course if you want, you can use Google Sheets or Airtable as your editor choice. Glide is very fast when it comes to development speed and depending on your app, can be built in minutes. There is over 300 templates to choose from to get your app off the ground. Glide has two separate ways to design: Pages and Apps with Pages being for websites and Apps for apps. Pages is new but has something's I like about it over apps like containers, although not a lot of features have been added from Apps. So I have this to say about Glide: It's fast, advanced and complex, and easy to use.

Now with the positives out of the way, let's get to the negatives. Glide does claim you can create your app under 60 seconds. This is of course if your data sheet is already loaded with...data. But you would still have to design within the app as it's not going to auto create everything. It also depends on the complexity of the app which can take days to weeks or in my cause a month. As mentioned, you can use imported data from Airtable. This would be a bad choice to do so as it will shift the data around in the columns. So if you want to use alphabetical order, it will be rearrange and you can't fix it because you can't drag the data in the columns over each other. The biggest con with Glide is that you give up design freedom in exchange for complexity so all Glide apps look the same. So also giving up uniqueness. Complexity can be an issue. By that I mean you might have to come up with additional ways to achieve a result that Glide doesn't offer which can be more of a headache. You also cannot export your code. This is why after spending months with Glide I'm using Flutterflow for the freedom of design, code export, less complexity and more features.

The main problem Glide is trying to solve is to give non-coders the ability to create and launch their apps without a technical background while also reducing development cost and time

Flexibility and speed of delivery are Glide's two defining advantages. You can have a new tool or a portal up and running fairly quickly once you understand how to make things happen.

Level of polish. There are some interesting UI choices and sometimes there are seemingly obvious features and settings that are either non-existant or very hard to find.

The ability to quickly create tools and interfaces for my users and my team.

I can easily create applications without engineering knowledge.

The support system is weak, and it takes time to fix bugs.

Build an environment without disrupting existing operations at a low cost.

The platform is exceptionally easy to use, and offers simple yet powerful integrations with other web-services.

Service structure changes too frequently which makes trust-building difficult. Directions in the company that restrict access to features in lower tiers, it inhibits ingenuity and makes it harder to proof concpets as a no-code developer.

They have solved the problem of providing useful computed-database-centred digital presence, so that we can provide an internal app for our business.
