I like the brands that are willing to work with you and set up an affiliate code, just for you. It makes it easier to share on social media.
Brands that enroll but do not ever offer any promotions, deals, or are willing to set up an affiliate code for you to share. There are a few brands on here that are just looking for ads to be placed on websites etc but there is never an incentive for followers to "click" for you to get the credit for it. It is a lot of work for usually no compensation
Brand connections
I like that I can connect different service providers in one service
I don't like not being offered similar companies to collaborate with. In the form of recommendations
I have connected the companies I want to work with
The plethora of reporting variables make for interesting deep-dive analysis
Nothing. There is nothing to dislike about the platform
Impact has been invaluable in centralising international & multi-market partnetrships
I really love all of the data we are able to get about each of our partners. I also really like how easy it is for affiliates to sign up through our landing page. The product feed tool being able to work from google shopping feed is very convenient.
The marketplace is not as robust or easy to use as we were initially lead to believe. Many of the people we have reached out to through the platform or not responsive so we end up having to email them directly through gmail which makes it harder to track the status of affiliates we are trying to recruit.
The ability to reach larger more traditional affiliate partners. Grow our partner program using existing impact partners we can connect with through the market place. The ability to better control fraudulent affiliate transactions and void them.
Easy Onboarding, Clean Interface, Friendly Representatives and Customer Service, No Long Term Contract.
Partner Discovery and onboarding can be improved.
The industry's obsession to lock users within their platform.
Impact is relatively easy to use and inform partners of changes and promotions.
There's no way to turn the channel off without getting penalized and we're often questioned when change commissions. That's our only lever we have to adjust our spend on the channel. Media budgets get cut, priorities change, so the questioning is feels a little like bullying at time. We always find a way to pay our top performers as best we can and lower our worst performers' commissions. It doesn't need an explanation.
Initially joining this channel, it served as a good source of incremental revenue. It now serves primarily as a last touch revenue channel for us.
I was new to affiliate but felt that the UX was pretty straightforward.
The site load time is sometimes a little slow.
We are managing our affiliate program through impact and this makes it easier to have all partners in one place.
Handles payments to partners. Snapshot of performance.
Buyer's journey is impossible to see without costly add-ons to the main product. Marketplace created a lot of manual work by not allowing filters to prevent inappropriate and/or fraudulent partners in the marketplace to apply. Have had to turn it off because even though we have ways on our end to find and eliminate the fraudulent affiliate, chargebacks are costly and when it is on, I have to manually vet the applicant to ensure they are not fraud. Only 1/3 of the applicants are viable for our program and the amount of time to vet out the rest is too time consuming. It would be better for us to have the ability to search the marketplace for who we want to reach out to and filter out the ability for anybody and everybody to apply to our campaign. I can't search Marketplace unless I make us visible in Marketplace.
Solved issue on our end of not having a dedicated team to keep the platform going. Although the reports are not giving us the correct data (tracking issues on our end as well as how the data is collected on your end) , I feel the reports would be a huge benefit.
Impact is an in depth platform with adaptive reporting. My team loves how we can build any view that we need to see.
The downfall is how sub-affiliates are set up in the platform. If a publisher does not/not willing to pass their SharedID back to us then our internal reporting shows revenue for all under one large umbrella. Specifically, Ibotta under the Button Publisher ID.
Our migration to Impact has allowed us to run our program through a pixel to see hour by hour sales and reporting. We are able to commission more efficiently by category, product and customer type.
The intuitive, usability of the platform, publisher vetting and grouping is great.
The glitches and bugs, we frequently have issues where we can't log in to Impact Radius because it is down.
Growing our clients affiliate programs
Support team and reporting metrics have been useful
Terminology is too confusing and doesnt relate to affiliate marketing. Dont like the nickel and dime merchants for every little addition which other networks offer for no fee.
Affiliate marketing analytics
Lots of campaigns, different niches available, approachable brands
Most campaigns are for mega influencers, unless you have more than 10k followers you don't stand much chance of landing a campaign.
None
The ease of setting up partners and providing them with trackable links and assets, the marketplace, and the day to day support I get from my success rep.
- Adding a new event has proven more difficult than it should and we're still not sure why it's not working. - Optimize leaves a lot to be desired in clearly showing the customer journey and how the affiliate channel enhances performance across other channels such as influencer, and SEM - the report is really not easily digestible. Further, learning how to build custom charts has been a pain point and no one rep can seem to give me a meaningful toutorial or intruction on how to build my own or, best leverage/decipher the pre-populated charts within optimize. This along with benchmarking for a niche brand are some areas that I feel need more attention.
Partner management and attribution are great, I'm able to quickly onboard and equip partners and manage their actions day to day. I'm not solving for customer journey analytics yet (see optimize feedback) and would like to better connect with publishers and affilaites via the marketplace but find that to be hit or miss.
I like the way Impact reports. Impact really provides reporting with details, which I can say is one of the best in the market for reporting.
I dislike the way Impact delays payments. Its payment process is very slow. Even slower than FlexOffers. Sometimes it took me to wait 2+ months for my payment even after the verification process finished.
Impact connects marketers and brands. Most of the brands are really popular.
Reporting tools are great and easy to read and share with clients.
The funding process is not as straight forward as other networks
It makes affiliate managment and reporting easier and more manegable
The casting call/campaign features are what make this platform easy to use for influencer campaigns. We are able to receive responses from influencers who we otherwise may not have found without this tool.
Learning curve - there's a bit of a learning curve to really know the ins and outs of how to utilize the system.
We are able to connect with influencers and post casting calls where we can find new names that match our targets. It's been great to use so far and we're excited about our partnership.
The customer service is great. They will go over you problem and help you understand where your payments are in the process.
Although customer service is great, their is difficulty in receiving timely payments from clients. There needs to better communication to understand why payments are not being received. The delays in payments have sometimes exceeds 5 months past due date. In addition, there is no clarity about how to fix the problem with funding from clients. There should be step in the process where the client can jump in and explain why payments are being delayed.
1. How to navigate impact. Customer service has helped in understanding when payments will come in and how to understand the payments that have been made. 2. Delays in payment. Customer service has followed and provided explanations on why payments are being delayed.
Reporting for affiliates is very good, providing lots of useful information that can be tricky to find on other platforms.
The inter-face could be more desirable as it can be quite tricky to navigate.
We have been able to identify trends in data that enabled us to gain an understanding of our customers and understand what works best for them and what doesn't work as well.
Impact allows us to easily onboard new affiliates and distribute payment.
The platform's UX is not user friendly. It's difficult to navigate and not intuitive. Additionally, the pricing/invoicing of the service is not clear.
Impact has solved the issue of commissioning affiliates and allowing us to determine how many conversions each has driven.
The platform has a very clean UI/UX, which makes navigating the various functions pretty easy and straightforward. We love the ability to create complex contracts and IOs (varying commission levels, bonus tiers, etc.). The MediaRails platform also enables us to scale our communications to affiliate partners, as well as recruit new partners.
The reporting functionality is extremely limited, and we've faced a few issues with adding additional data parameters to our UTM tags, making it difficult to track KPIs by publisher groupings. We've also worked pretty closely with Impact on a few internal projects where we were recommended a particular solution to a problem, only to discover that it did not actually solve the problem.
Impact has made it pretty seamless and easy to scale our Rep / Influencer program, and has given this group the tools and abilities to quickly scale their content and earn commissions on the sales that they're driving.
