I happen to work near their support center in Virginia Beach, and I was able to visit and talk with their support staff face-to-face and help them with product development. I mention that because they truly care about refining their hosting tools. Their AMP hosting dashboard is clean and easy to use. I especially enjoy that I can reboot my VPS servers from AMP. With other VPS providers, I needed to have support do it for me. I also like that they explicitly offer a Northern Virginia data center --my choice, so our latency is incredibly low, much lower than if we'd gone with GoDaddy (Texas) or Liquid Web (Michigan) or really any of the other west coast based and Denver based hosting providers.
My biggest annoyance is that I have to use multiple account logins to manage multiple VPS products. I wish they were all merged into one account. InMotion is aware this is a problem for some customers and is working on a solution --I got to help them test a possible solution. I also wish they offered block-level storage (scalable storage add-ons).
We simply need multiple VPS servers at a good value. InMotion was able to offer us two VPS packages at great annual prices that beat our old vendor ServInt on pricing.
I like that technical support is available 24/7.
They are in the process of getting rid of a product which may be an integral part of my website structure.
Figuring out how to work around a product that I've been using for years. Regarding benefits, having phone tech support 24/7 is a big plus.
My Inmotion Likes: - Recommended by Wordpress.org - SSD drives - SSD is faster than normal drives - 90 Day Guarantee - Inmotion offers a long money back guarantee in case I am not happy with the service. - 1st year special OFF - I managed to get 50% discount in the 1st year. Top Customer Service - 24/7/365 phone, email and live support.
My Inmotion Dislike: - More expensive than average - Inmotion is slightly more expensive than other web hosting companies I have used before. - USA web servers only - My website is aimed for worldwide users, but inmotion only has USA based users. Therefore users in EU and Asia will get experience slower access speed - Basic Web builder - the builder is below par, therefore i didnt use it.
Small Business & E-Commerce web hosting and domains. You get extra services like SSL, CDN & web marketing. For: Small Business E-Commerce Wordpress Web Developers
Strong uptime. Any issues I've had were quickly resolved by their support teams.Cheap, well documented.
I dont like that you need access inMotion Hosting panel before access WHM and Cpanel.
I can keep all my websites in one place. No more afwull overseas support.
Like the hosting options, integration with popular software, ease of use, server speed
A little difficult to get started with hosting panel. Also, lots of log-ins, but that means good security
Want to expand firm's online presence
We set it once and now we don't have to worry about it. We haven't had any issues with it at all.
To this point, there has been nothing to dislike about our experience.
Inmotion helps us build a beautiful brand experience for all visitors of our website.
It just works, and does not get in the way of our business Invisible to us..
Whenever website becomes inaccessible, but that rarely occurs.

inMotion giving 90 days money back guarantee which quite good for newbie webmasters/ hosting users. Sometimes people's worried about their money as like i do... I don't want to spend my money for draining web hosting facility. They have every facilities what should have to be with cPanel based web hosting. Although they are providing free domain name with hosting which is very good for users. Their speed is reliable and supports shell access which i love very much. Also giving free data backup facilities.
Their LAUNCH hosting packages has limited availability. Only supports 2 domain names in hosting panel with 2 databases. Disk space saying unlimited but they have limitation also so, this is unfair to tell people that they are providing UNLIMITED disk space. Also their bandwidth facilities are limited.
Mostly usage for e-commerce based companies and they supports wordpress hosting as well for wordpress based ecommerce based websites.
InMotion control panel and pricing are what I really liked. Support is almost always available but not helpful.
Support is available but not necessarily helpful! Resources are not enough on shared hosting for a very simple low-traffic website. Sometimes servers and even the inMotion control panel are not up and responsive that one of the reasons can be cyber attacks.
I was using inmotion hosting to host my websites! In the beginning, servers were fast and reliable, the reseller account was good and support was always there and helpful. BTW, I'm not using their services for almost 2 years and maybe they had improvements in servers and support staff.
The first time I register with InMotion Hosting from 2 years ago and of course I was hesitant because I didn't register with them before and I didn know any friend who had joined them so it was difficult but I finally decided to register with InMotion Hosting, in fact most thing make me happy the quick technical support, technical support staff do not leave you when they make sure that your problem has been finally resolved. As employees are able to solve any problem they may face in a short period of time. So, I can say that the best thing about this company is the staff.
The subdomains don't work, and if you want to install a SSL certificate you can install it if you get one from InMotion Hosting and this is annoying. And sometimes I wait a few minutes to connect with a technical support employee to help me solve my issue, but this doesn't always happen. I don't think there is anything I didn't like otherwise in InMotion Hosting.
The speed of loading pages is very fast, providing a SSH and give me free promotional coupons such as: Google Adwords, Yahoo Bing and Yellow pages business listing and this has helped me to improve my business.
The price is good and the support is amazing
Recently the servers seem to go down for short periods everyday. This effects my website, emails and cpanel access. The organisation is also American so I can't transfer my .co.uk domains to them.
The price is far better then GoDaddy (previous host). They also have better site resources so i haven't maxed out the resources, unlike on my previous host where just updating a wordpress plugin would cause my site to stop working.
Their support is second to none. That's not to say that their support reps are perfect. They are people and sometimes they mess up. But 95% of my support requests are handled quickly and competently. They are great.
InMotion doesn't have system outages very often. Maybe twice per year. But when they do, they are very bad and seem to last for days. Which is unacceptable. I host a LOT of websites and have wanted to leave them for months now, but it's not something I can just do at the drop of a hat. Take time and planning and that's where I'm at right now.
They have affordable and good VPS' for running my business on. Support is great.
The low-cost is a great feature that I find creates a very large profit margin for my business. It easily integrates with CPanel, and the free use of WHMCS is fantastic. You can also find 24/7 support with people who are not only helpful but also extremely knowledgeable. They also have great uptime, and white-labeling makes it so my clients can always see my company's name on everything.
There are a few complaints I have about InMotion Hosting. First of all, it does not have the most professional look. The GUI of their login panel can be a bit confusing at first, and there are a lot of people in my organization that still do not understand how to use it. I would also advise them to educate their support teams more on the use of WHMCS. WHMCS does not currently have a phone support line, so this would give InMotion a huge leg-up in my opinion, and make them more credible in my eyes.
I am currently using InMotion for their reseller features. This allows me to lease out space on their servers to my clients. They have great uptime and support features. This makes life so much easier when it comes to managing client complaints about their websites or other such features.
Their services are affordable as compared to other service providers such as Afrihost and Name Hero
Their servers are very slow. when you are busy editing your website, the I/O Usage just maxes out and the site slows down to a complete holt and has to wait and start again
Providing server space for web hosting retailors and companies
I liked that my client is satisfied with the cost of their hosting service and the service itself. Better than GoDaddy, which this particular client was considering. The pricing information was clear, the billing has been properly executed, and their customer service has been sufficient.
I dislike the shared hosting environment, which is more a matter of me being picky about which types of hosting services I use and recommend, and less about InMotion Hosting. Please note that I have not used their other services (VPS, etc).
My client has found decent shared hosting service which meets their needs. They had significant budgetary constraints, so we wound up using InMotion Hosting's shared hosting service after some shopping around. Furthermore, this particular client's website required very little server resources whatsoever.
We use InMotion to host 70+ websites, and have had a great experience! Any time we need to talk with support, they know what they're talking about and can help find a solution quickly.
I have no complaints about InMotion! We've only experienced downtime a couple times over 5 years, but that's to be expected.
We are a web design agency and use InMotion to host all of our client websites. We've had a great experience.
Ease of hosting, user guides and documentation. Hosting and domain packages
Porting to a different hosting service is not that great experience.
Web hosting, Wordpress instances, LAMP stack and MySQL server/Maria DB hosting
Good technical service and managment of application inside Cpanel. There are good prices for VPS and the possibility to set it up according to your business needs
I had a problem with shared server, most of my email were lost and the technical team didn't advice of an update of the server
VPS, installing CRM and ERP platforms along with Website to integrate and manage all in a single website
I love the fact that they give unlimited email addresses. We switched over to them for this reason and it has been the best feature so far. They also have a very easy to use interface with support every step of the way.
Sometimes emails get flagged as spam and it's a pain to contact support to resolve it. We had this issue much more in the beginning but it almost never comes up now.
I am able to create emails and adjust the settings incredibly easily.
