We use InMotion to host 70+ websites, and have had a great experience! Any time we need to talk with support, they know what they're talking about and can help find a solution quickly.
I have no complaints about InMotion! We've only experienced downtime a couple times over 5 years, but that's to be expected.
We are a web design agency and use InMotion to host all of our client websites. We've had a great experience.
Ease of hosting, user guides and documentation. Hosting and domain packages
Porting to a different hosting service is not that great experience.
Web hosting, Wordpress instances, LAMP stack and MySQL server/Maria DB hosting
Good technical service and managment of application inside Cpanel. There are good prices for VPS and the possibility to set it up according to your business needs
I had a problem with shared server, most of my email were lost and the technical team didn't advice of an update of the server
VPS, installing CRM and ERP platforms along with Website to integrate and manage all in a single website
I love the fact that they give unlimited email addresses. We switched over to them for this reason and it has been the best feature so far. They also have a very easy to use interface with support every step of the way.
Sometimes emails get flagged as spam and it's a pain to contact support to resolve it. We had this issue much more in the beginning but it almost never comes up now.
I am able to create emails and adjust the settings incredibly easily.
We use the VPS hosting offered by in motion. Relatively inexpensive and still a huge upgrade from any shared hosting plan
I don't like that you only get a limited amount of support with the plan.
We host our main website and have gained faster response times since switching from shared hosting.
Very easy to get tech support on the phone, and they are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I have sent numerous clients to them, and I've never heard a bad word.
There's nothing I dislike. Any hosting company is open to attack, but it's how they handle it that matters
My site has never been down, and they have a great affiliate program.
The support during changeover was super. Chat was especially helpful. We didn't lose any significant time in production (our live site)
Not anything I can think of. Funny you want more for dislike.
Moved away from a host whose service disintegrated over time. Their equipment sucked.
The quality of the support team and their responsiveness is great. I sleep well at night.
I can't think of anything I dislike. Their support team has resolved any issues.
I have VPS for which I share hosting among several different domains. Cost reductions.
Very easy for non-techies to navigate their system Great support team to help install products and resolve issues.
Nothing - they are awesome. I own a real estate company, so my needs are not as demanding as others. That said, whenever I have a question, their support always comes through.
Hosting Email Virtual Private Servers Domain purchasing
It's simple to use for my coworkers and I on any device.
Finding the actual login link is somewhat difficult. I have it bookmarked but if I have to get someone else to login, they have to type in the exact address rather than simply searching.
All our staff has an email address on the domain but the temps (who work 3 months and are off for about a month then back on for 3 months) couldn't have outlook setup on a PC. So they use inmotion hosting to login to their emails and check them.
What I like most about InMotion is their solid customer support and the fact that they offer SSL security as part of their service cost. I have previously dealt with another hosting service provider and their level of customer service did not match up to InMotion. InMotion has superior support, which really matters when you-know-what hits the fan.
What I dislike is perhaps the price. I have InMotion to be a bit expensive; however, that being said - they provide excellent customers service and offer SSL security with many of their packages. I have only been with InMotion for a year, so things are still in the honeymoon phase - but I am optimistic.
InMotion provides what I need for hosting services and the convenience of SSL security as part of the monthly fee. I go group hosting websites and individual websites and InMotion, overall, has reasonable packages to many different projects.
They always run new promotional offers which saves me tons.
Little bit expensive than other but still worth every penny
They are only providing SSD which is quite good and very responsive and fast for the transfer of files.
Simple UI for website services. I like them b/c it doesn't have old looking UI like Godaddy services do.
Limited capability in terms of connecting to other services. They don't have the new functions like Gmails do. Simple service but do need some sophistication for their webmail service.
We use the service to provide both email and our website hosting. Simple and straightforward service.
One of the most attractive parts of using Inmotion Hosting are the cheap prices for their shared web hosting services. Inmotion Hosting is very transparent and that is something you have to appreciate, not every web hosting provider will explicitly tell you what type of hardware they are running such as SSDs or regular hard drives. Other features such as state snapshots are HIGHLY appreciated and used very often if the need to backup data is ever required. It doesn't take that long either. Their Support center is one of the reasons that you can be sure will be a STRONG benefit when deciding to sign up with them. This is especially true if you are new to web-hosting and running websites and would like some initial hand holding when it comes to setting up your web server. I personally had a few of my questions answered immediately within the hour. One Click installs is a must have and something that I find very very valuable in today's business world where time is precious.
VPS prices although they come with more resources are more expensive than what I need, they need to offer a cheaper alternative similair to what Vultr or DigitalOcean offer.
Overall Inmotion Hosting is solid, reliable and I have not had any issues from initial setup to launching a website on either of their VPS Service and their Shared Web Hosting.
I have a number of clients who use InMotion hosting as well was myself, and I just love how easy and simple it all is to use, I hate services such as 1&1 and Heart Internet as their account areas and control panels are so complicated and hard to use! I love how InMotion use cPanel, as a server administrator I have grown to love WHM and cPanel and the fact they use this makes everything far simpler! From taking backups to transferring sites from server to server, cPanel is a huge deal when you are deciding on which hosting provider to use.
Sometimes support can be a little hard to get, especially when something technical needs resolving, you end up waiting several hours or over 24 hours in extreme cases to get critical issues resolved, which can be somewhat unfortunate if you have a situation which needs to be dealt with fast. However this is not often and most of the time the support is extremely helpful and extremely quick.
Hosting websites is a big deal when it comes to business such as eCommerce, and so having a hosting provider which can offer a stable service which is not too slow and has minimal downtime issues is optimal. This is especially critical for businesses that operate solely online and rely on the website and their emails for business to function.
The prices is definitely the best part. There's also a lot of the standard features that you expect from web hosting. I didn't need anything fancy so it came down to price for me.
The user interface for the admin panel is pretty awful. Somewhat hard to find things, but at least the customer service was good.
It's just a commodity web hosting product. Nothing fancy.
Its Technical support. The customer support is fast and don't have a long queue for resolving tickets.
They sometimes charge for the service in spite of having a yearly contract.
We are using it for managed hosting. So far no problems have been encountered.
I liked the touch of getting a follow-up phone call during our migration process. Pricing is competitive and the services are comparable in performance, too.
There's nothing that really grabs you about the interface and most things appear on par compared to other services.
Moving from another shared hosting provider was a must and the features and incentives could not be beat within the landscape. More frequent data backups and enhance customer support are additional benefits.
I like that I can connect my work email to my personal email and create a personalized email address.
This software often freezes. It also doesn't let you change the font or color in your emails. It's very standard and not very visually appealing.
I am able to set up a buisness email with this hosting. This lets me keep my buisness clients separate from my personal contacts.
Inmotion hosting used to have affordable prices and outstanding and prompt phone, chat, email support however times have changed. Throughout my time with InMotion Hosting they've been supportive and usually always able to resolve any problems I've had.
Over these last couple of years InMotion hosting's support had been lackluster and subpar at best. They were once commended for their amazing dedication to their customers and had offered FREE site backups as well as free SSL's - however I am not fond of the support they provide now. There has been a lot more service outages as well as long chat and call wait times. Their hosting speeds are still comparable and usually are really good - however I am getting fed up with the servers being down more often than not.
InMotion hosting used to be a good host where they were attentive to it's customers needs and concerns. They were once reliable in regard to providing the support I needed to resolve my case, however the benefits to risk comparison had shrunk a lot since I first signed up with them.
